Hi everyone! Sorry for the wait I've been busy for while. But I was finally able to finish the next chapter. So with out anymore delay here is chapter 17.

Chapter 17

The next morning Toboe woke to the sound of someone pacing around the den. The pup opened his eyes, and watched as Kiba was pacing back and fourth. He wondered what had his friend so inpainant. The white wolf hadn't realized that he was being watched, seeing as he kept going back and fourth. Toboe decided to make him stop, so he stood up and walked over to his friend.

"Uh...Kiba? Are you okay? Is something wrong?"

Kiba stopped his pacing and locked eyes with the pup. From the look the brown wolf saw, it seemed the white wolf was trying to figure something out. Toboe walked up to the wolf and turned his head to the side. What could have Kiba on edge? So with that last thought in mind, the pup asked one more question.

"Kiba? Are you sure your okay? Your kind of freaking me out."

"T-Toboe...Where is Tsume?"

"He left yesturday to try and find a way to get your memories back. I'm not sure when he'll be back. I just ho- wait. Did you just say Tsume? D-Does that mean you have your memories back?"

Toboe asked as he stared at his alpha's mate with shock. The white wolf stared at the pup and slowly nodded his head. The brown wolf yipped happily and jumped around. Kiba on the other hand watched his pack mate carring on. After a few minutes of noise passed, Toboe was finally able to calm down.

"That's great news Kiba I'm happy you finally got your memories back. So what caused you to suddenly remember? Was it a memory? Or a smell? Or maybe-

"It was a nightmare."

Kiba said as he sat down and looked at his paws. Toboe's sudden happy mood disapeared as he watched his friend become depressed. The pup slowly walked up and sat next to him. With a nudge from the shoulder, Kiba raised his eyes to look at Toboe, who had a small smile on his face. With a deep sigh Kiba began his tale about his nightmare he had.

"Well it started out fine but after a few minutes...

Kiba trailed off as he turned away. Toboe whimperd and nuzzled the white wolf on the neck. Said wolf jumped at first but calmed down when he realized it was just the pup. Once he got another reasuring nod from the pup, Kiba continued with his explination about his nightmare.

"Like I said before it stared out fine but then...

Kiba's Nightmare

Tsume sat outisde the den and looked over his territory. He watched as the sun rose higher and higher into the sky, as the day was starting. The gray wolf took a deep breath and in haled all the fresh air he could. Once that was done he opened his eyes and smiled to himself. The alpha was so lost in his thoughts, that he didn't sense movement from behind him.

The alpha was sunddenly knocked to the ground. Tsume landed with a grunt and stayed still, while the one that attacked him stopped moving. He then turned around to find a pair of golden eyes staring at him. The alpha smiled and licked the wolf's muzzle. The wolf whimpered happily and nuzzled the gray wolf back.

"Morning Tsume."

"Hn...Morning Kiba. Sleep well?"

The white wolf thought for a second, then shook his head. The alpha was confused, Why hadn't his mate slept? Was something wrong? Did something happen? Tsume was about to say something but, the sound of laughter made him stop.

"Don't worry Tsume I'm fine. I just wished you would have been with me when I got up that's all."

Kiba said as he smiled and nuzzled his mate once more. The gray wolf sighed and shook his head. He then slowly stood up, shook the dirt from his fur and streached his mucles. The white wolf watched as he mate finished his streaching. He loved the way Tsume's mucles flexed as he streached, the white wolf couldn't get enough of watching his mate.

"Enjoying the show?"

Kiba jumped at the alpha's voice as he was snapped out of his thoughts. Tsume chuckled as he smiled at the white wolf. Said wolf glared at him and slowly walked towards him. Seeing this the gray wolf smirked and waited for his mate to make his move. Suddenly Kiba leaped and tackled the alpha to the ground.

Both wolves rolled around nipping and whimpering happliy. After a few moments, due to energy depleation, the alpha pair stopped rolling around. They locked eyes and stayed still for what seemed like hours. Tsume nuzzled Kiba and licked his check. The white wolf returned the gesture, and pulled back to look at his handsome mate.

"I love you Tsume. I really don't know what I would do if something happened to you."

Kiba said as he smiled sadly. Tsume leaned up and nuzzled the white wolf and looked into worried eyes.

"Kiba...I promise nothing will happen to me. I will never leave you understand. I love you to much to leave."

"Tsume...

Suddenly the scene changed and Kiba was standing in the middle of the woods. He looked around and couldn't find anyone. Tsume...Where was Tsume? The white wolf started to panic, he had a bad feeling. He started calling for his mate but no one answered.

"TSUME! TSUME PLEASE ANSWWER ME! TSUME!"

Kiba was met with silence once more. He dropped to the ground and whimpered softly. What happend to him? Where did his mate go? All of a sudden he heard a pain filled yelp.

The young wolf jumped to his feet, and looked around. He lisented and tried to figure out where it was coming from. With no exact location found Kiba ran to where he thought he heard the sound. When silence met his ears, the white wolf stopped in his tracks and tried once more to listen for the sound. Kiba was starting to get worried, what was going on?

A sharp yelp filled the air. The sound was so painful that it sent a cold shiver down Kiba's spine. The white wolf took off like a shot trying to find where his mate was.

"Tsume...Please be alright. I don't want to loose you. Please."

The yelp came once more, and Kiba stopped in his tracks.

"TSSSSUUUUUMMMMEEEE!

End of Nightmare

"And that's when I woke up."

Toboe was in shock. Kiba had a nightmare about Tsume, and now all of a sudden he had his memories back. He was happy that his friend was back to normal, but what could the dream mean? Toboe looked at the white wolf and saw the fright and frustration on his face. He really hoped that his alpha was fine.

"Toboe...I-I need to find Tsume. That nightmare isn't sitting well with me. I want to bring him back, and I don't care how long it takes."

"Kiba...

"I'm serious Toboe I don't care what you say I'm going to find Tsume and bring him home. My dream was trying to tell me something."

The white wolf then limped to the entrance of the den. Toboe watched his friend in silence as he slowly headed out of the den. Kiba then stopped and turned back to the pup. With a deep sigh he locked eyes with the brown wolf, and spoke softly.

"I-I'm sorry for snapping at you Toboe. I'm just worried about Tsume. Can't you realize how I feel?"

As soon as those words left his lips, Kiba regretted what he said. Toboe's ears went down, and his tail went between his legs. He relcesed a whimper as he looked down and away from the white wolf. Kiba gulped and approuched the pup, while keeping a close eye on him. Once he was next to him, Kiba nuzzled the pup to get his attention.

"Toboe...I'm sorry I forgot about...I'm really sorry I didn't mean to say those things."

The pup just kept quiet as his friend spoke. Kiba sighed as he watched the pup go further and further into depression. Why did he have to go and say stuff like that. He knew how the pup felt about Knight, and yet he went and said something insencitive. He had to fix this but how?

"Of course I know how you feel Kiba. I want to see Knight again too, but he just left without a word. I don't know why or for how long. All I know is that Tsume and him had an agrument, and then he just left. Not even a goodbye...Nothing."

Toboe said as he continued to look at his paws. Kiba watched once more as he saw a stray tear fall down the pup's cheek.

Hiegue and Knight traveled for a while until Hiegue decided that they walked enough. They stopped next to a stream and sat down at the edge. A long silence fell between them as both wolves sat watching the stream. With a sigh Hiegue decided to start first.

"Knight...I heard you were missing for a few days after Tsume and the others left. Why did you leave?"

The black wolf gulped, as he looked at anything but his alpha. How could he explain why it took him so long to get back. If Hiegue knew he would most definitly band him from the pack. Knight didn't want that to happen, so he had to figure out what to say.

"Knight I'm not going to repeat myself."

Said wolf flinched as his alpha's voice was very stern. So with a shaky breath the young wolf decided to tell Hiegue what his reason for leaving was.

"I-I left becase I heard Tsume and the others were in trouble. I wanted to help them, so I just took off. I know it wasn't the right thing, or any of my business, but I had to do something."

"How did you know something was wrong?"

"T-Toboe's howl. He sent it out to try and find help. I heard it and wanted to help, so I left."

Hiegue watched the black wolf as he explained his reason for leaving. A small smile couldn't help but form on his face, as he watched the expressions change on the wolf's face. He had to admit it was quite entertaning. So with a smirk on his face, Hiegue continued to listen to Knight's explination.

"I found Toboe and the others, and saw Toboe and Kiba were injured. I then helped Tsume get his packmates back to thier territory. Once thier I was told to help on a hunt. With his packmates hurt Tsume had no other choice."

Hiegue nodded as he heard and wanted him to continue. Kiba and Toboe were injured? Who or what happened to them. He knew Toboe finished healing from his fight with Zeal, so what could have happend to have two of his best friends hurt?

"Knight what was the reason for the injuries?"

The black wolf locked eyes with his alpha. He had a feeling once Hiegue found out what caused the injuries, he would be livid. So with a regretful sigh, he told his alpha who caused the injuries to his friends.

"The one who inflickted the injuries...

"Yes...who was it?"

"It...It was...Z-Zeal and a pack of rouge wolves sir."

Hiegue's eyes went wide at the mention of the wolf's name. Zeal? The one he banded from his pack? Why would he attack his friends? But before he could think on it, Knight's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

"Theres...something else sir."

"Something else? What in the world is it then?"

Hiegue said getting very angry at the moment. Knight saw and felt this, so he took a deep breath, and just came out and said it.

"After the fight with Zeal and his pack of rouge wolves. Kiba had many injuries, but the hardest one he took was the loss of his memory."

"WHAT!"

Tsume woke up to surroundings he didn't reconize. He saw he was laying on a wood floor in front of a fireplace. His mind was trying to figure out how he got here and who brought him. Just then a noise from the next room made the gray wolf stand at attention, but the movement made him yelp. Which he fell back to the floor and realized his ankle was injured.

"Where the hell am I?"

Tsume thought as he looked around the room. The sound from the other room came again, then a figure came out and headed towards him. The alpha saw that it was a human, which made his mind snap into realization.

Flashback

The gray wolf tried once more but had the same resoulte. Growling he looked down to see his ankle stuck in something. He couldn't tell what it was so he took his free foot and moved some dirt and leaves out of the way. Once that was done he saw that the thing his ankle was stuck in was a bear trap. Seems some humans were using this area as a hunting area, and he just happened to get stuck in one of thier stuipd traps.

"Oh great now what?"

Tsume said to himself as he tried to get out of the trap. But everytime he moved the teeth from the trap dug into his ankle. He yelped, sat back down, and began to lick the blood oozing from his wound. After a few mintues passed Tsume heard foot falls heading his direction. He growled deep in his throat as a figure apeared from behind a tree.

The figure saw Tsume and slowly started to aprouch him. Tsume's growl got loader and louder as the figure got closer. Once close enough the alpha noticed the figure was a human, but not a hunter. Still he growled as the person took a few more steps and stopped next to the trap. Tsume went to snap at the human but when he moved his wound got worse and he yelped.

"Its okay...I won't hurt you...I'm gonna try and help you okay boy?"

Tsume growled all the while, but let the human do his task. The man kneeled down and moved the rest of the leaves away. He soon found the chain and pulled it out of the ground. Once that was done he went to move the trap but moved it to fast. Tsume yelped and tried to bite the human, but he moved away before he could close his jaws around any body part.

"Sorry boy I didn't mean to. Here let me just get this open okay?"

The human placed both hands on either side of the trap, and as gentle as possible pulled the two sides apart and down. Tsume gave a yelp when the teeth were retracked from his ankle. The human pulled a little more and soon the teeth were out and off of the wolf. Tsume tried to get up and away from the human, but he just fell back to the ground. He whimpered and started to lick his ankle to try and clean it.

"I can clean that for you if you let me."

Tsume glared at the human, but continued to clean his wound. The human was going to come closer, but voices filled the air and both Tsume and the human froze in place. The human looked behind him and saw a group of men with weapons were heading thier way. He looked at the wolf and back to the men. He gulped and decided to do the most dangerous and stupid idea he ever thought of.

"Okay boy...I'm gonna take you with me. I can heal you at my place. So please let me help you. I'm gonna have to carry you so...please don't bite me okay."

Tsume listened to the men coming closer and locked eyes with the human who was trying to come closer. What should he do? He needed to get out of here. But with his ankle in the shape that it's in, he knew he wouldn't get far. So with a deep sigh and grunt he just laid down on his side.

The human saw this, and was surprised. But he didn't have time to enjoy it. As the group of hunters were almost on top of them. So with his mind made up, the human hurried over, kneeled down, placed his arms under the wolf, and raised him up and over his head. Tsume yipped in surprise as he was raised from the ground and he ended up laying on the man's shoulders. The man put his hands on the wolf's shoulders and hips to keep him from moving, then with one last look at the hunters he and Tsume took off in the direction of the man's home.

End of Flashback

The man walked over carrying something Tsume never saw before. Once close enough the man kneeled down and placed the box down next to him. The gray alpha watched the man closely as he pulled and placed things around him. Tsume wasn't sure what he intended to do, but he would watch him closely making sure he didn't do something he didn't like. The man smiled happily at Tsume as he noticed that his paitent was awake.

"Hey boy, I see your finally awake. You fell alseep when I carried you home."

Tsume turned his head to the side as he listened to him. What in the world is wrong with this man? Didn't he feel fear being near him? Seriously he was a wolf wouldn't that mean that he would be afraid of him? Tsume just couldn't figure out this man's mind at all.

"Well why don't we get your injury healed up huh? I bet your pack is worried about you."

With the mention of his pack, Tsume's ears shot up and he locked eyes with the man. The human saw this and smiled. He had a feeling that was part of the reason the wolf seemed on edge. The man then proceeded to clean Tsume's injury, but that was easier said then done.

"Ok boy I need to lift your leg so bar with me ok."

The man reached for the alpha's leg, all the while gray eyes watching his every move. The man slowly reached out for his leg, keeping in mind the fast reflects of the animal in front of him. Again with slow movements, the man placed his hand over the wounded ankle, and lifted it ever so slowly. Tsume whinced and released a low growl, that made the human freeze in place.

"Sorry boy just let me get the cleaning done ok."

With that the man reached next to him and grabbed a bottle. He twisted the cap off and the smell coming from the bottle, made Tsume's nose wrinckle up and he shook his head. The smell was horrible, how could the humans stand it. Seeing the way the gray wolf reacted to scent of the anti biotic, the man chuckled to himself.

"I know its not the most plesent smell in the world. But it cleans all the bacteria out of wounds. So just bare with it for a few minutes."

The man then slowly placed a rag over Tsume's ankle. The reaction he received was not what he expected. Once the rag touched his ankle, the wolf yelped and tried to get away. The man jumped a little but he needed to keep the wolf under control. So he placed his hands on the alpha's hip and held him down.

"It's okay boy, its ok just clam down. The worst part is over. Now I just need to put the bandage on."

Growling the whole time, Tsume stopped moving and watched as the man reached behind him once more, and pulled out a white cloth. The man then pulled a piece off the roll, and began wrapping the wolf's ankle. Once done Tsume watched the man place the items back into the box, and stood up. He watched as the alpha sniff and lick the white cloth.

"Alright now just let that on for a while. It needs to stay on so your wound can heal. I'll let you rest for a little, then I'll give you something to eat."

The man then left the room leaving Tsume to wonder what was on his leg.

Blue watched Hiegue head over to Knight. She knew the young wolf would be in for a mouth full. She couldn't understand why the black wolf left without permission. But she knew Hiegue would fill her in when he returned. So with a deep sigh she trotted into thier den and decided to rest. The blue-tinted wolf slowly laid down and rested her head on her paws.

"I hope Hiegue isn't to hard on Knight. He must have had a good reason to leave like he did."

Blue said to herself as she looked out at her territory. She saw here pack members working hard on trying to get things ready for the pups. Blue smiled sweetly as she turned to look at her stomach. It was pretty big and she could feel the pups moving around once an awhile. The blue-tinted wolf winced a little as she felt a kick to her side.

"Easy little ones you'll be arriving in this world soon. Just hang on til then ok. I know your father will be very happy to see you."

Blue smiled as he placed her head on her paws and decided to take a nap. As she rested one of the wolves from the nursery walked in quitely to check on her. She trotted in and noticed the alpha female was asleep. The wolf didn't want to wake her up but it was time for her check up. So with slow steps she approuched the alpha female and spoke softly.

"Miss Blue I'm sorry to wake you but it is time for your check up."

Blue slowly opended her eyes to find one of her nurse wolves. She then slowly raised her head and yawned. The nurse wolf waited for her alpha to wake up fully before she started her check up. After a minute or so she shook the sleep from her body and looked at the wolf next to her.

"I'm very sorry to wake you mam but it's time for your check up."

"Oh it's alright I was just taking a little nap."

"So shall we start?"

The nurse wolf nodded her head and began the examanation. She told the alpha to lay on her side, which Blue did. The wolf placed her paws on the alpha's stomach and slowly felt up and down. The nurse wolf, not seeing or feeling anything wrong, decided that everything was in good shape. So with one last look at the alpha she gave her the okay.

"Seeing nothing wrong I can say the pups are coming alone just fine. I just want you to take it easy."

"Of course."

"Good now if you don't have any questions or pain I shall let you go back to sleep."

"No I'm fine thank you though."

"Your welcome mam have a nice rest."

"I will."

The wolf nodded her head and trotted out of the den. Blue smiled once more as she looked at her stomach again. She was so excited for the pups to come, she just hoped they all come out healthy and in one piece. Blue layed back and went to sleep with a happy smile on her face. Soon the alpha female was in a deep sleep and her final thought was that Hiegue would come back soon.

After a few hours passed Blue was thrown from her dreams as she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She yelped as the sharp pinch came again, and tried to get to her feet. But she just couldn't do it, so she laid down again and started to pant. What in the world was going on? Everything was fine earlier?

"Ahh, easy little ones your hurting mommy. I need to get some help."

Blue said to herself as she started to pant faster. She lifted her head a little and released a howl. The sound left the den and went over the valley. All the wolves stopped what they were doing and looked towards the den. The nursing wolves rushed up the hill and ran into the den.

Once inside the group saw the alpha female panting and begining to sweat. These symptoms ment only one thing. The alpha was in labor. The wolves hurried over and tried to get Blue under control. Blue watched as a group of wolves came over to her and tried to speak but couldn't.

"It's alright Miss Blue just concentrate on breathing. You need to keep breathing."

"Wh-Wh-What is-is-going-on?"

Blue managed to say before another wave of pain came over her. The nursing wolves watched over her as they tried to get her into postion. Once that was done the leader of the group spoke clearly to the blue-tinted wolf.

"You are going into labor Miss Blue. The pups are on thier way."

Blue's eyes went wide. What? That can't be true they weren't due for another week or so. What made them start coming early? She needed to figure this out. Just then a thought came to her mind.

"Hiegue...

"Hiegue! We need to tell Hiegue! Please someone tell him!"

"Yes we will but you need to calm down mam your not helping the pups right now. We will send word to him right now. So please just breathe."

"But I-

Suddenly Blue yelped as another contraction went through her. She whimpered as she tried to calm down. One of the nursing wolves patted some sweat from Blue's forhead. Then the head wolf turned to one of her assistance and told them to get Hiegue.

"I want you to go and send the message that the alpha female is in labor. Also that the Alpha needs to come home now."

"Yes mam."

The nurse wolf then ran out of the den and looked down at the rest of the pack. All eyes were foucsed on the wolf at the top of the hill. Then with a deep breath relayed the message to the rest of the pack.

"The alpha female is in labor. She is in the process of giving birth. I need someone to go find the alpha and bring him home."

The rest of the pack was in a frenzy they knew the pups weren't due for another week. So what could have happened? But before anyone could ask a voice made everyone stop and listen.

"I'll go bring the alpha home."

A white wolf approched the the front of the pack and looked up at the nurse wolf. The rest of the pack looked at the young wolf and wondered where he came from. But with a nod from the wolf above them, the white wolf nodded his head in agreement.

"Alright Tsuki go and find the alpha and tell him the news."

"Yes mam."

The wolf then turned her back to the pack and trotted back into the den. Tsuki smiled and turned to leave. He watched as the rest of the pack slowly moved away as he made his way to the exit. Once the white wolf disappeared, the pack started to talk amoungst themselves.

"Who was that? I never saw him before?"

"Yea your right when did he enter our pack?"

"I don't know...it's really werid.

Knight and Hiegue finished their talk and decided to stay and relax for a few minutes. They watched the stream and both wolves were lost in thought. Hiegue was trying to figure out how Kiba lost his memory and how Blue was doing. Knight on the other hand just had one thing on his mind, Toboe. The black wolf sighed as he looked into the stream watching the fish swim by.

"Toboe...

Just then a rusling in the bushes got both wolves attention. They shot to thier feet and waited for what was coming. After a few seconds passed a young white wolf jumped from the bushes panting. Knight's eyes went wide at who was in front of him.

"Tsuki what are you doing here? Where you listening to our conversation?"

"What? No I just got here I have news."

"What news do you have?"

Hiegue asked as he watched the young wolf. Tsuki froze and bowed his head. He never was this close to the alpha before. Hiegue was getting inpatiant so he said it one more time.

"What news do you have spit it out."

"Oh um...sorry sir...I was sent after you to tell you that Miss Blue is in labor. She is in the process of giving birth."

Hiegue's eyes went huge and Knight's jaw dropped. Without another word Hiegue took off in the direction of the den. Knight and Tsuki not far behind him.

"Blue I'm coming just hang on til then."

Hiegue said as he ran as fast as he could to get to his mate before it was to late.

Well there you have it. Sorry for another cliffhanger but just had to do it. Besides it'll keep all of my loyal readers coming back for more lol. So see you all next time!
