Sorry for the long wait everyone. I've been working a lot and had some family drama. But I was finally able to finish this chapter so I hope u all enjoy it.

Chapter 18

Blue was panting, as the movements of her pups were painful. She griminced in pain as one pup kicked her in the side. The alpha female glanced around and noticed that her mate still hadn't arrived. What in the world could be keeping him? Blue looked at the nurse wolves who were keeping track of her contractions, and patted the sweat away from her brow.

"Isn't Higue here yet?"

One of the nurse wolves patted sweat from Blue's head once more before answering her question. But before she could a noise from outside made her stop. The alpha female and the nurse wolf turned thier eyes to the entrance of the den. What in the world could be making such a racet. Suddenly a brown figure appeared just outside the den panting hard.

"I-I-I'm here Blue I made it."

Blue smiled but couldn't help the tears that fell from her eyes. Higue trotted over to his mate and nuzzled her cheek. He slowly licked away the tears as Blue whimpered happily. The alphas stayed silent for a while as they enjoyed being together again. But the moment was ended when Blue yelped in pain and began panting once more.

"H-Higue their coming I can feel them moving."

"Blue just breath slowly okay just take deep breathes. I'm staying right here."

Blue smiled sweetly and then nodded her head as she took slow breaths. The nurse wolf sat down next to the alphas and watched as the pups began to arrive.

Knight watched as Higue ran inside the den and hoped his alpha made it in time. The black wolf sighed as he looked around at the rest of his pack. Everyone was talking to each other, all the while glancing up at the den waiting for news. The young wolf was happy for his alpha but he just couldn't stay that way. He could only think of one thing Toboe, Knight really wished he could share this time with him.

"Toboe...I'm sorry for leaving like I did...I wish I could see you."

"See who?"

Knight jumped at the sudden voice that was behind him. He looked behind him and saw Tsuki standing there. The black wolf growled at the wolf and began to walk off. Said wolf turned his head to the side and followed the black wolf. Knight walked up a hill and sat down at the top of it.

He looked out at the valley that led out of his territory and into Toboe's. The black wolf let out a deep sigh once more before he laid down. Tuski trotted up to the wolf and slowly approuched him. Knight sensed who it was but he wasn't in the mood to deal with him. So with a deep growl he glared at the white wolf who sat next to him.

"I told you to leave me alone Tsuki. I don't want to deal with you. I just want to be alone."

"So who is it you want to see so badly?"

"That is none of your business now go away."

"Oh...I see its this Toboe isn't it?"

Knight's eyes went wide as he heard the name. He looked at Tsuki and glared at him. How in the world did he know Toboe's name. The young wolf was sure he never spoke it around him. So how in the hell did he know the name?

"H-How do you know his name?"

"Oh...I was right? Well I guess you could say that I overheard you say his name."

Knight shot to his feet and growled so deep that Tsuki flinched back a little. What in the world was wrong with him knowing this wolf's name? The white wolf blinked and smirked at the black wolf. He slowly approuched the still growling wolf and smiled at him. Knight kept a close eye on him as he was begining to be circled.

"Knight...you know you can't be with him right? He's from a different pack and you need permission from the alpha. But seeing as what you did and what is going on now, I don't think you'll get a yes. Besides there is someone in your own pack that could take that runts place."

Tsuki said as he swayed his hips and nipped at Knights neck. Suddenly Knight pounced and tackled the wolf to the ground. With a yelp and a thud, Tuski landed on his back with Knight hovering over him, teeth showing. Tsuki gulped and looked at the black wolf whose eyes were full of hatred. Knight leaned down a little more and growled at the wolf under him.

"Stay away from Toboe and me understand. If you even think of coming between us, I'll make sure you never see the light of day again."

Knight snarled at the white wolf, turned, and walked away. Tuski watched as Knight's figure got further away. The young wolf slowly stood on his feet and couldn't help the chuckle that left his throat. He was shaking but it wasn't from fear, no it was from laughter. Once the laughter subsided he smirked at the retreating form of Knight.

"Well Knight looks like this is going to get even more intersting."

Kiba and Toboe sat in silence as either of them wanted to say anything. The white alpha knew what he said was wrong but he couldn't help it. He was just so worried about his mate that he didn't think before he spoke. Kiba sighed sofly and tried to comfort the pup once more.

"Toboe...I'm truely sorry for what I said. I know how you feel about Knight."

"No...no you don't..."

"What do you mean?"

The pup turned his head away and glanced out the den. He smiled slowly as he remembered how happy he felt when he was with Knight. The black wolf made him feel so loved that he wouldn't want to be with anyone else. The young wolf chuckled to himself as he shook his head and then turned his attention back to Kiba.

"Kiba...

Just then a howl cut through the valley. Kiba and Toboe rose to thier feet and left the den to see who it was. Both wolves scaned the area, until a movement from some bushes made them stop. A wolf jump through them and he stopped at the bottom of the hill. Kiba and Toboe looked at the wolf and noticed he was from Higue's pack.

"Which one of you is Kiba?"

Kiba glanced at Toboe and then turned his attention to the wolf below him. The white wolf stepped forward and nodded his head. The gray wolf nodded in return and began to explain his sudden appearance. Toboe watched as the two wolves talked and wondered what in the world was going on.

"Kiba sir I am from Higue's pack and he has sent me here to infrom you and your pack that the pups are arriving. He also told me you are to come with me so you can see them."

"Pups?"

"Yea Kiba Blue is pregant and she named you and Tsume as the godparents."

The white wolf glanced at the pup then back to the wolf below him. He closed his eyes to see if he could remember any of this information. As his eyes were closed he suddeny had flashes of images go through him mind. Then he snapped his eyes back open and looked at the two wolves next to him.

"Take me to see Higue."

With a quick nod of the head the gray wolf began to lead the two wolves out of their territory. Toboe followed silently as he watched his friend walk ahead of him. He thought Kiba wanted to find Tsume. But instead of voicing his confusion he just trotted along keeping his thoughts to himself.

After a few silent moments the three wolves arrived at Higue's territory. Kiba followed the gray wolf until he was told to stop. The white wolf stopped at the bottom of the hill that lead up to the den. The gray wolf trotted up and entered to annouce the arrival of the two wolves. Toboe sat down next to Kiba and looked around. The whole pack was in a constant conversation wondering when the pups would be born and what was taking so long.

"They all seem excited about the new arrivals."

"Yea it seems that way."

Kiba said as he glanced around and saw all the wolves acting werid. But before he could comment on anything his name was called from the den. So with a deep sigh he walked up the path and with a nod from the gray wolf Kiba walked inside the den.

Meanwhile Toboe still sat down where he was and waited for his turn. As he waited he watched some pups play around and smiled as they seemed happy. The parents of the pups watched them with bright smiles on thier faces. Toboe was envious of them, they seemed so happy and in love. He wished he could feel like that with Knight but, just then a strong familar scent filled his nose.

The pup looked around and wondered where it was coming from. He inhaled sharply and closed his eyes. He knew that scent all to well he smiled as he thought about who it was. Then he opened his eyes and saw the one wolf on his mind. Knight stopped in his tracks and stared at the brown wolf a couple yards away.

"Toboe...

"Knight...

Tsume slowly rose to his feet and tried to walk. He managed to walk for a little but he ended up falling to the ground a couple times. The gray alpha cursed at himself for not being able to stay up longer. He sighed as he looked around the area he was in, the place was surrounded with woods and had a little river running in the back behind the house. The man he was with wasn't home at the moemnt so he enjoyed his time alone.

"I'm sure Kiba would love it here."

Tsume said to himself as he took in the area he was in. The scent of humans was everywhere but other than that it was a quiet little spot. He looked towards the woods that lead away from the house and signed.

"Kiba...I miss you I wish I was with you right now."

He wondered when he would be able to leave this place. Suddenly a scent came to him and the hair on his neck rose as he released a low growl. He locked his eyes to the direction where the scent was coming from. As a few minutes of silence passed, and the scent getting closer. The young alpha waited for whatever was headed his way.

A figure began to come closer and the wolf was on alert and watched as the figure came even closer. But before Tsume could do anything the man that rescued him came into veiw. With a noticeable sigh the gray wolf turned his head away from the man and decided to ignore him.

"Hey boy I brought you some fresh food."

The man dropped a pile of food infront of Tsume and smiled. The alpha slowly turned his head at the smell of food and stared at the pile in front of him. He glanced at the man as he smiled at him and watched the human go into the house. Once the man was out of sight Tsume gulped down the food he recivied. When he finished he could feel his streagth coming back.

"Kiba...I'll be home soon."

Tsume laid his head down and decided to take a rest before he tried to walk again.

Kiba walked into the den and saw his two friends laying next to each other and watched their newly born pups feed. Kiba smiled at the sight and was envyous of them since he couldn't have pups of his own. Higue lifted his head and saw Kiba had arrived, he slowly stood up and walked to his friend. The white wolf bowed his head again in greeting and Higue shook his head and chuckled.

"Kiba...you know you don't have to do that we're friends."

"Sorry..."

"It's fine...anyway you want to see your godchildern?"

Kiba nodded and slowly approuched Blue and the pups. Blue raised her head and smiled at the white wolf. Said wolf looked down and saw 6 new additions to Higue's pack, he was happy that they all came out healthy. As he watched them feed he couldn't help the tears that slowly started to fall. Blue saw this and gasped Kiba snapped his head up and backed away.

"Kiba? Are you ok?"

Blue asked as she watched her friend back away. Higue saw this and tried to see what was wrong but Kiba suddenly turned and ran out of the den. Blue and Higue shared a look and with a quick nod Higue ran out and followed the white wolf. As Kiba shot out of the den the pack looked up in shock to see thier alpha chasing a wolf. Toboe and Knight who were locked in a staring contest snapped out of it and watched the two wolves run past them.

"Kiba?"

Toboe said as he saw his pack mate run passed him closely followed by Higue. Knight watched this as well and was just as confused. The black wolf slowly walked over to the pup and spoke softly.

"Toboe...Is Kiba ok?"

The brown pup snapped his head back and noticed how close Knight was. He jumped back and watched the wolf. Knight flinched and flattened his ears and turned his eyes down. Toboe glared at the wolf in front of him, how could he even think of talking to him after what he did.

"I-d-don't know...I need to find out."

Toboe then stood up and began to follow his two friends. Knight saw this and trotted after him but with a sudden turn around from Toboe the wolf stopped. The pup glared at him and bared his fangs. Knight's eyes went wide and stepped back, he never saw Toboe like this before.

"T-Toboe...please...I-I'm sorry for what I did...Tsume wasn't letting me say anything...please let me explain..."

Toboe stared at the wolf and after a few moments he backed off and continued on his way. Not missing his chance Knight followed the pup and hoped that he would get a chance to explain himself.

Kiba slowed down and stopped to catch his breath. He looked around and saw he was next to a lake. The white wolf walked up to the water and took a drink. He sat down at the bank and tried to catch his breath. What was wrong with him? He couldn't believe he acted like that and in front of Blue and Higue yet. He tried to figure this out but a sudden noise from behind him made him snap out of his thoughts. Higue then jumped out of a bush and stood in front of his friend trying to catch his breath.

"Kiba what happened are you ok? You gave me and Blue quite a scare."

"I'm sorry Higue it's just I miss Tsume...he hasn't come back and I'm worried something happend to him. I guess the sight of the pups brought everything back in one shot and I couldn't help it."

"Wait...what do you mean Tsume hasn't come back yet I thought he came with you but was down waiting with Toboe?"

The white wolf shook his head and turned his eyes down and whimpered softly. The alpha watched this and slowly approuched his friend and nuzzled his shoulder. Kiba looked back and saw the worry in the alpha's eyes.

"Kiba...I'm sorry I didn't know do you have any idea where he went?"

"All I know is that he went out to try and find a way to get my memory back and that was it."

Higue nodded and wondered what could have happend to his friend. Where in the world could he have gone.

"Kiba...I promise that I will help you find him...I want you to be happy..."

"No...Higue you have pups to take care of...I don't want to take you away from your family."

"I said I will help u and that's what I will do."

Higue said and wouldn't let Kiba say anything more. The white wolf stared at the alpha for a minute and sighed in defeat. Once Higue put his mind to something he never gave up. He decided to let him help so he nodded.

"Alright now why don't we head back so we can think of where Tsume could have gone."

With a nod from the white wolf they decided to head back to the den. Kiba just hoped that they could find Tsume before it was to late.
