"Kopa?" asks both Nala and Simba in shock, not believing their son being still alive. They thought that he was killed by Zira or another lion who followed her lead. Bunga and Binga were both taken by surprise, who is this Kopa, how come they never…

Bunga didn't want to wait and was going to use his special power to scare this lion, Simba turns to his little brother, warning him not to do it. The honey badger looks questioningly at him, "Why's that, king bro? He is…"

Nala cuts him off with a glare, "He's our son Bunga, our first baby boy, like your brother is to your Uncle Timon and Uncle Pumbaa!"

This was another surprise to Bunga, his eyes have widened, "What… a son…"

"Yes, little bro. Kopa is my older son, he was in the same litter as Kiara," says Simba, sharply which made Bunga gulp.

Bunga after a moment of silence, speaks up again, "Well, why didn't my uncles tell me about him?"

Simba turns his head away, tears running down his cheeks, "Because… we didn't really like talking about him, only once with Kiara and Kion," and turns again to Bunga with sorrow, "try to understand that it deeply hurt us that a lion has taken our son, the one that was supposed… anyways, Timon and Pumbaa didn't take it well that their grandson disappeared, nevertheless Kiara was there to fill their hearts with joy, so they didn't remained sad for long."

"Still living at Hakuna Matata Falls? I'll go visit them," Kopa smiles as a large bang covered one of his eyes. His mane was a sort of dark reddish brown, the color of his pelt and eyes were the same as his mother's.

He turns to Bunga and utters, "You… are my father's brother? You can't be…", he then realizes that his Grandpops and Grandpa adopted him after he was kidnapped by his uncle Mheetu. "So, your my uncle?"

"To the looks of it, yeah," says Bunga with a smirk but then turns serious, "I'm not sure that my uncles are ready to see anyone at this very moment."

"Why not?"

Bunga turns to his brother with a pleading look, Simba exhales and turns to his son, "Well, Kopa the problem is that your mother might die from childbirth if she keeps this cub, but because it's her choice…" he pauses for a moment before another tear goes down his cheek, "Kopa, would you accept this cub as your sibling? Kiara on the other hand wants to do nothing with it, while your little brother Kion does. It worries us that our cub will be cast aside, being isolated… your grandfathers haven't made a choice if they want it in their lives or not…"

Kopa goes to embrace his parents, "Of course I will and I'm sorry if Kiara doesn't. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprise if Grandpops and Grandpa will, they have such a kind heart and are filled with joy."

"Not at this moment, they aren't," Bunga mutters, which he earns a glare from the royal couple, then he rubs the back of his neck and smiles sheepishly, "which in the case they usually are positive. It's just with Nala's choice, they seem not to accept it. I fear that they'll go in a big depression."

Kopa puts a paw on Bunga's shoulder, "I'm pretty sure they won't, don't worry Uncle Bunga, I'm sure they'll make their choice very soon," which he saw Bunga gasped when he said 'uncle' to him, Kopa chuckles, "I'm guessing Kiara and Kion doesn't call you that?"

"Well, we're the same age, and they think it would be weird to call me that," Bunga smiles with a nod, then he sighs. "So you still want to go see my uncles?"

Kopa nods, then he turns to his parents, "I'll be back, mom and dad… for real this time," he goes to nuzzle them, "there ain't no uncle- I mean lion that will take me away from you guys, never again."

Nala starts to cry which caused everyone else in the den to gaze at her with worry, Binga approaches (not too close), "What's the matter, sister-in-law?"

"I realized... that the lion... who has taken my first… baby boy… was my little… brother Mheetu," Nala gasps between sobs, "I saw… him… with you Kopa… in my nightmares!"

Bunga immediately goes to her and places a paw on her swollen belly, while his other paw was caressing the top of her head, "Calm down Nala, we don't want you to get too exhausted."

He then parts away from her, far away not to get her more sick, she's sick enough as she is, her health is going down rapidly, he shakily wipes his tears away. He spins around to face Kopa, "Let's go nephew, we would want Nala to have her rest."

Then with that Nala fell unconscious, more tears went down on Simba and Bunga's cheeks, the honey badger says with impatient, "I'm serious Kopa, we should get going, it's starting to be a little heavy for me, right now."

Kopa can see this affects Bunga and he nods, with that the two honey badgers and the lion starts to travel to Hakuna Matata Falls, while they were walking they were getting to know each other and about their lives, Kopa eye his uncle severely, "Can you not tell my parents? I'll tell them when mom will be conscious and… as for Grandpops and Grandpa? Well, for now I will tell you just to be watchful of how you'll announce it to them," he continues to say with a frown, "they loved Uncle Mheetu and I'm not quite sure if they'll take it when they'll hear that he has been brainwashed from an evil lion."

He finished his sentence with a hiss and Bunga looks up with an understanding nod, he'll wait a little longer because right now his uncles weren't in the greatest moods. They'll lose their first daughter-in-law because of childbirth, because of her disease, it's not really good time to tell them that. When they entered the falls, they went immediately to see the spot where the duo usually sleeps. They were there and extremely exhausted, underneath their eyes were dark, meaning lack of sleep after some days of keeping an eye on Nala. This has taken Kopa's breath away, never would he have seen his Grandpops and Grandpa in this state before.

They gazed at the duo who were twitching in their sleep, but for some unknown reasons they suddenly awoken with a gasp. Bunga goes to cuddle them, Timon pushes him which has hurt his feelings, he snaps at him, "What are you doing here? I thought…"

He then sees an unknown lion with them, he looks back at his younger son scandalized, "What is the meaning of this? You're bringing some unknown lion here to see us suffer-"

"Wait, Grandpops! I'm not some unknown lion, I-" starts Kopa as he approaches the trio, Binga still standing in place, feeling helpless as she watches the scene in front of her. Timon and Pumbaa gives Kopa not a 'not impressed' look, the meerkat taps his foot with his arms folded over his chest.

"Yeah, right! My grandchildren are Kiara and Kion, who the fuck do you think you are?"

"Timon, language!" Pumbaa scowls at him and returns his gaze at Kopa, "Look, we don't know who you are, but you should go, this is not the best time to come here."

Bunga goes in front of Kopa, "You two are just impatient because of the lack of sleep you two are receiving. Please, hear me out-"

"Hear you out, Bunga? This is the biggest mistake you have made-" Timon was cut off by Bunga who was quite angry at his uncles' foolishness.

"Why can't you two see it's Kopa? Your first grandson! Are you two being disrespectful just because we're going to lose Nala?" he shouts at them, shaking angrily, Kopa puts a paw on his shoulder to calm him down, Bunga then sighs in exasperation, "Look, we're sad that she's going to leave with the Kings and Queens of the past-"

"She's not going to die, Bunga! This is just tricks playing on you-" furiously states Pumbaa as tears were prickling in his eyes, but his sentence was cut off by his younger son again.

Bunga places a paw over his eyes, "What the… did you two didn't hear Rafiki say that she will die from childbirth? Second of all, where's the hakuna matata?"

"You know what Bunga? Get out, go back to Pride Rock, NOW!" screams Timon, he and Pumbaa are really furious with him and he let's out something that isn't kind to say.

"I… I… hate you two! You are so wrapped up in Nala dying and being so negative that Binga and I will sleep on Pride Rock for the next days," Bunga cries out as tears were leaking from his eyes, then runs off from Hakuna Matata Falls, Kopa follows him with unhappiness, Binga turns them with a glare, "I'll keep an eye on him, hope you'll apologize to him when you'll see him again," then with that she leaves the furious duo in their misery.

"Wait up!" Binga calls to Kopa, the lion turns to her, he lowers a little so she can go on his back and goes join Bunga. They finally saw him eating some grubs, well a little bit. They decided to eat some grubs too, Bunga then stares at him in astonishment, "You eat some grubs?"

"Yeah well, Grandpops and Grandpa showed me so…" Kopa says quietly but enough Bunga to hear him, he then looks back at his uncle with a frown, "you shouldn't have told them you hated them. They're just upset. Look, try to understand Uncle Bunga, that they need time. Plus, it's my fault, I shouldn't have asked you to go to Hakuna Matata Falls."

"No, it's fine," says Bunga with sadness still in his voice, "you were just excited to see them, that's all."

Then they ate and walked back to Pride Rock in silence, Simba is waiting for Kopa to eat what his father has brought. Simba sends an apologetic look towards Bunga and Binga, he tells them to keep an eye on Nala. They nod in agreement but before they left to go in the den, Simba grabs gently his little brother's arm. He gazes at him in concern, "Are you alright, Bunga? Your eyes are sort of red…"

Bunga shrugs him off, "Y- yeah, I'm fine king bro, don't worry about me."

Binga sighs and places a paw on her forehead, "Simba… Bunga here had a nasty argument with Timon and Pumbaa, so of course it didn't end well, even Kopa will tell you that," she shakes her head, disapprovingly. "He even said that he hated them because they didn't want him to reason them."

"You, what? Bunga! This is really disrespectful what you have done to them, they just need time, they'll be alright when they'll have a good sleep tonight," bellows Simba, visibly angry at his brother's actions but he doesn't have time for this, he turns to his son with a smile, "let's go for a hunt, son. We might get something for your mother, she's starting to be weaker," he stares at his little brother with a stink eye, "I'm I right, Bunga?"

Bunga gulps and nods, Simba tells them they'll return shortly and the two honey badgers arrives inside the den, they see Nala sleeping as she tightens her eyes and muffles something they can't hear properly, they go sit a little close to her but Bunga just went to her and caressed her back, "It will be over soon Nala, you'll have your cub soon," and he lets more tears from his eyes, Binga puts her arms around him in comfort, he thanks her and turns to Nala again, "Please wake up if you're having a nightmare, sister-in-law."

When they were waiting for Kopa and Simba to return, he told Binga to watch Nala, he couldn't battle his sleep anymore. She nods and scoots a little closer to Nala, then suddenly she has awoken from her nightmare with a gasp and held fear in her eyes, just like when she had her other nightmares. Binga puts her paws on her chest, "Good girl, Nala! You've awoken from your nightmare."

Nala looks confusingly at her, wondering what's happening and then her expression changes to worry when she sees Bunga snoring softly, and this made Binga explains everything to Nala, the queen of the Pridelands sighs with remorse, Timon and Pumbaa are acting this negative because of her, it had drained her brother-in-law's energy because the duo never wanted to hear what he had to say, all because of her and Binga realizes that she shouldn't had said what she just told Nala. She looks at the ground with shame, "I'm sorry Nala, I shouldn't have said…"

Nala shakes her head and smiles weakly at Binga, "You don't need to apologize for this, Binga. I understand you completely, you did the right thing telling me," then turns serious, "does Simba knows about this?"

"Yes, he does," Binga said, "I told him because Bunga didn't want to, fearing probably because of his brother's reaction. Sometimes I can slip out things that aren't my business, I'm sorry."

Nala gives Binga a smirk, "You don't need to apologize, I already told you that. You're family to us, don't forget this. Hakuna Matata," she continues with a sigh, "still Timon and Pumbaa aren't the only ones who has forgotten Hakuna Matata, Bunga did too. Hating isn't the right time, well for Kiara isn't working but the three of them… ow!"

Binga runs to her, "Are you alright-"

"Just this cubby here kicked hard," Nala says with a grimace, "Would you want to feel it kick?"

"I felt it moved but not kick, let's see if it will kick," Binga says with excitement, she places a paw on her belly, the cub did a small kick. "Oh I can't wait to see you, little one… oh! I mean let us enjoy a little of your mom before she goes."

Nala laughs as Simba and Kopa arrives with a little something for Nala, this causes Bunga to wake up quickly, he rubs his eyes and tells his family of lions that he and Binga will go take some fresh air, Kopa and Simba nods and the two honey badgers left.

At night…

While Nala and Binga were sleeping in the den, the boys were outside of the den, gazing up at the sky that was filled with stars, Kopa says with a smile, "So, that's what Grandfather told you?"

"Yes, my son," responds Simba, smiling in return, "that's what he told me as a cub."

He turns to his little brother who was laying on his back, snoring softly, he chuckles, knowing that Bunga would have fallen asleep while stargazing with them. Kopa turns to look for a moment at his uncle before looking at his father, "I shouldn't had asked him to go to Hakuna Matata Falls, Grandpops and Grandpa's reactions were scary. They had some dark underneath their eyes…"

Simba states with concern, "What I hope is that they'll have a good night sleep but what Binga has told me, I don't think they'll have a good one, again."

"Let's just hope they'll be alright," says Kopa, as he and his father (with Bunga on his back) headed back inside the den to sleep.

In the afternoon on Pride Rock…

Nala asked to come out of the den to take some fresh air, however her vision is starting to get bleary, after the whole family have eaten their breakfast, they just decided to relax, having some discussion, Zazu comes in rapidly, panting. The others looks at him with a weird look, Simba speaks up, "What is it Zazu?"

Rafiki comes on Pride Rock as Zazu takes a deep breath, "Timon and Pumbaa are coming to Pride Rock, sire. I just needed to tell you before they arrive."

Simba raises an eyebrow, Bunga and Binga holds hands while kissing, Zazu puts a wing over his eyes, mumbling something but Rafiki whacks him on the head and Zazu glares back at him. Nala is filled with cheerfulness, her father-in-laws decided which choice they made and tell her when they'll arrive and Kopa felt like jumping up and down, delighted that his grandfathers have been well rested (he hopes so). Meanwhile, Rafiki like usual checks on Nala. She doesn't know why but she cannot wait to see them again, well what's left of her vision, she looks at Rafiki with hope, "Hope it isn't too bad like yesterday, my health is declining yes but just to have this cub will be worth it."

"Well, if that's what you want Nala, we will be with you till the end," says Timon with a weak smile, and with that everyone turns to gaze at them and when they did they nearly gasped in horror. The duo haven't sleep at all last night, Bunga goes to hug them, "Uncle Timon, Uncle Pumbaa! I'm sorry that I said I hated you-"

They cuddled him in return, Pumbaa says tiredly, "You don't need to apologize, we're sorry that we were furious, we should've had thought of Hakuna Matata."

"It isn't healthy for you to come here, especially when you two haven't slept," Rafiki points out, Zazu nods in agreement, even thought he's not best friends with them, he's still worried about them. Not just him, everyone else, Timon and Pumbaa looks like zombies, Simba goes to embrace them, "Pops… Dad… you should've had slept first-"

"Nah! We're good, baby king! Our heated argument with Bunga yesterday made us realized that we were idiots for being that negative… and wrapped up for just one thing, and with that we apologize." Timon kisses his older son's cheek, while Pumbaa did the same, nevertheless Simba knew Timon was lying, they were overtired and this worries him.

"Hakuna Matata, Grandpops and Grandpa. That's what you taught us." Kopa smiles, walking to them. They were confused at first but then they registered that it was their little Kopa, and all grownup, with tears Timon and Pumbaa went to cuddle him and kisses his cheeks nonstop. Kopa laughs, "Okay, okay, it's enough of love!"

"Timon, Pumbaa… I'm glad that you two came," their happy reunion was interrupted by a soft voice, they rotate to the source of the voice, but they knew it was their daughter-in-law, Timon scratches his cropped hair, "We're so sorry, baby-in-law that we neglected you yesterday, try to understand that it was a difficult choice but we finally have chosen one," Timon smiles at Pumbaa, who returns his smile, the others knows immediately what choice they have chosen, "and it's to accept the cub in our lives."

Nala smiles with a tear coming out of her eye, "Thank you so much, the cub won't be alone in this world, I love you two deeply and I would love to have a long sleep with you guys," she continues with a glare, "because of the lack of sleep you guys have been having."

They nod and Kopa and Simba helps Nala returning inside the den while the parental duo follows them, yawning, which causes Kopa and Simba to smirk at them, Simba says, "You're good, hey? Go to sleep with Nala you two, my son here will guard the entrance with Bunga and Binga."

"You got that right!" They have heard Bunga exclaim and they hear him say "ow", probably because Rafiki has whacked his staff on Bunga's head because of his outburst. Then with that the trio went into slumber…

When Nala has awoken from her sleep, she sees a paw resting on her belly, she smiles as she rest her eyes for a couple of moments, she hears Timon with emotion, "It's going to be active like it's father used to be."

"I'm still active, you know that, Timon," she hears her mate say, she opens her blue eyes and sees her family was there.

"That we can see that, you made her pregnant, Junior," points out Timon as this made everyone in the den laugh, which causes Nala and Simba to crimson. Nevertheless, they were happy that they're now all reunited, she feels a hoof caressing her head and she continues to smile. She peers at her father-in-laws: they have regained some colors but still had dark rings underneath their eyes, it's better than nothing. Timon notices that she was peering at him and Pumbaa, he goes to kiss her cheek, "how are you feeling, Nala?"

"I've been better but I'm happy to see that you two have regained some colors."

"Yeah, now that the negative is put behind us, we can now take care of you and the others, and being positive," says Timon, eyes half-closed, "we love you Nala, we want only to do what's best for our family, you have done a choice and we finally accept it," and he waves a paw in Kopa's direction, "and we're reunited with our little Kopa."

Everyone smiles at this, it's a shame Kiara won't change her mind about this cub, at least this cub will have other family members to look out. When Kiara, Kovu, Rani and Kion has returned three days later, they were astonished to see another lion but Kiara comprehended who he was and instantly went in his arms, while crying with happiness. Simba explains to the three others who he was and they immediately greeted Kopa also in open arms, however it didn't last long.

Kiara asks, "Do you accept this cub that mom's carrying?"

Kopa has been taken aback by her silly question, while the others glares at her, Kopa quickly responds, "Why yes, sister dear. Of course, that I'll accept our sibling as part of our family."

Kiara spats as she puts her claws in the ground, "At least Grandpops and Grandpa…"

"Your grandfathers are also accepting this cub as family, they have chosen to be part of this cub's life!" thunders Simba, making his family members jump a little. He calms down, he took a deep breath and narrows his eyes at her, "It's only you, you Kiara that has a problem with that, no one else here is against it."

"Where's our second grandcub? Where's the one who always positive and full of life," says a voice that got everyone's attention, they see Timon and Pumbaa arriving with Bunga and Binga, their eyes are misty. "Kiara, we would like you to go back in those years… we don't want to lose you," he felt like petting her cheek but fears that she'll attack him, Kiara snarls at them. Kovu's mouth drops a little as he was surprised that his mate would even snarl at her grandfathers.

"You traitors, I thought you wouldn't accept this cub-"

"When did we choose not to accept this cub? Kiara, you're not thinking clearly, calm down," Timon cuts her off with a dark look, Pumbaa isn't saying anything because he's in shock. Bunga and Binga glares at her, thinking she's acting like an immature, doesn't she understand that she's hurting her mother?

"Timon, Pumbaa, Bunga and Binga, please go with Nala and replace Zazu," says Simba, still taking a glance at his disrespectful daughter, "as for you Kiara, if you want to be queen, you'll have to act like one. You're turning into Scar…"

"I'll never be like Scar, and I'll be queen daddy," screeches Kiara, then with frustration, she'll never know why because of her anger has taken control of her body is going to charge into her grandfathers, who hasn't absolutely done nothing to her, Kion and Kopa notices that and goes in front of their grandfathers, Kion screeches at his turn, "Don't you dare touch them, they haven't done anything to you, sister!"

Simba whirls at his fathers, brother and sister-in-law, "I'm not joking, get inside the den, NOW!"

They finally listen to his order and Simba looks at his daughter with anger, then with that she receives a scar across her face, and Kopa, Kovu and Kion are blown away to see this, while Rani screams in horror. Blood starts to drip down her face, an eye completely closed, she then looks at her father (with her only good eye now) in shock, Simba then lets out a long sigh, "I'm sorry Kiara…"

"Dad, this was so sick of you of having done that!" Kopa is still blown away from the action his father has done to his little sister, his twin sister. Kiara leaves immediately in tears, running away until they no longer see her. Kovu, Kion, Rani and Kopa are furious, Kopa with seething says, "You have changed dad, you're not the one that I remembered," then he leaves to go in the den with his other family.

Kopa notices that Bunga is pleased with his brother's action, the dark red-brownish maned lion sighs with frustration, "Uncle Bunga…"

"No, I don't want to hear it Kopa, you've seen what Kiara was going to do to my uncles, she completely has a problem, and yourself knows it very well." Bunga glares at him, shaking with anger. Binga places a paw on his shoulder to calm him down, and with that they left inside the den. Then a moment later he hears his mother screaming with sorrow, he goes quickly inside and sees Binga and Pumbaa comforting her, despite smelling not the sweetest scents of all. Timon has his fists clentched as he's enraged by his older son's action, and of course using foul languages which Zazu keeps telling him to stop using them and of course the meerkat ignores him.

Kopa's also angry and looks at the entrance of the den, and he thinks, you really shouldn't have done that dad, there's always another option instead of hurting your own children.

What he doesn't- and the others- is that something horrible is going to happen to his father and it won't be pretty.

Author's Note: Well, here was the second chapter, I thought of putting it longer but as for a second chapter, I decided to go like that. Like I've said, in my headcanon (and in this alternate version of my headcanon) they are all family, so they all consider as grandfathers, grandchildren and so on. I've always thought of doing something family between Nala, Timon and Pumbaa (well tried to), so it ended up like that.

If you think this was getting ugly in this chapter, wait till you see the next one, it's going to be dark. If you don't like things getting dark, it will be better for you to stop reading. There might be some subjects that can be quite touchy to people but I'll try to keep this M rated and not getting this not too dark. What did you think of my version of Kopa so far? Also, keep this mind that this is an alternative version of my headcanon.

Kiara in my real headcanon accepts her new sibling (like I previously said in the last chapter) and Simba would never do that to Kiara, Kiara will never be like Scar... etc.

Anyways, thank you for reading.
