This chapter contains more violence and blood, characters deaths and of course foul languages and an AU canon character, you have been warned.
"Timon, Pumbaa, Kopa, Bunga, Binga? Are you here?" calls Simba, entering Hakuna Matata Falls, feeling anxiety in his body, worrying what they'll say to him. When he didn't receive a response, he went straight away to see his beautiful queen who's resting in her usual spot near the falls. "Nala…"
"What are you doing here, Junior?" asks a voice behind him, Simba turns around to face his fathers, Timon and Pumbaa are fuming and Pumbaa even sends smoke out of his nostrils. Simba was taken aback from this attitude of theirs, he never thought that they would still be furious with him.
Simba swallows hardly, trying to think what he should say to them. "Well, I'm here to see my mate, why? Where's the 'leave the past behind you'… that's what you have taught me, no?"
They have given Simba a dark look which made Simba feel so uncomfortable at this moment, he knows that what he has done to his daughter was cruel but he had to put her into her place. Almost all the family members saw what she going to do to them. Wasn't Bunga pleased with his gesture towards Kiara? What happened to that? Was it because of his mate getting sicker, was it because of that? The three of them were looking at each other. Simba utters, "Please, Timon and Pumbaa… say something else…"
"Why? You have done something terrible to Kiara and she hasn't come back since three days," speaks Pumbaa with seething, tears sizzling down his cheeks, his heart pounding. He takes a glance at Nala before returning to his older son.
"Yeah, Nala's condition has a lot worsened since that day you have slashed your own daughter," Timon trying to control himself, he isn't in a mood that wants to argue with someone for hours, tears escaping his eyes, "how could you have done that to your own daughter, Simba? Yes, she was going to charge at us but sometimes anger-"
"I know Pops! It's just like you just said, I couldn't control my body how angry I was," speaks Simba, tears filling his eyes, wanting to get some comfort, "I didn't mean it… please, I just want to see my mate."
The angry duo looks at each other before returning to look at him, eyes narrowing at him for a moment before giving a long sigh. They gave the go to see her, Simba goes to nuzzle Nala as she utters, "Simba… is that… you?"
He can see that his queen's blue eyes were paler, meaning she was completely blind, even thought he hadn't slashed their daughter, she would've gone blind anyways, what difference would it make? Tears are rolling down his cheeks, he lays his head on top of her head, crying. "Forgive me Nala for hurting our daughter, I just lost control of my temper. I'm sorry my love, please forgive me."
Nala licks his cheek but then glares, "You better apologize to Kiara when she'll return," tears rolls down from her eyes, "I forgive you but I don't know if our family will ever be one again."
"We'll figure out something," whispers Simba in her ear, he hopes so. He licks her swollen belly, giving some love for his future cub. Nala smiles and closes her eyes for a moment before reopening them (even thought there's no difference anymore of opening her eyes or not), Simba can see that she is more peaceful here than she is at Pride Rock, more comfortable for her until the birth of their child… after… no, he didn't want to think about it!
Tears cascading his brown eyes, he holds one of her paws, "I'm sure it will be all sorted out, I'll have to take care of something now, I love you," and with that he nuzzles and licks her cheek, he turns to his family who were now all here. Simba goes to his little brother, "I thought… you were pleased with the action I have done to Kiara, what changed?"
Bunga exhales and scratches the back of his head, "After Kiara not returning… well, let's say I realized you went too far. I just want my niece back, even thought she doesn't call me uncle like Kopa does," he chuckles nervously, then returns gloomy, "I hope she's alright, king bro, because I'll be very sad if she isn't."
"I'm pretty sure she'll be alright, she just needs to get her scar heal," Simba reassures his little brother, putting a paw on his shoulder. "She'll be back to us, quite soon."
At dusk…
Kiara walks tiredly in some territory she never has seen before, she scans this territory and feels that her scar is irritating her, she cannot scratch it due it can be worse than it's already is. She hears a voice calling her, an unpleasant one, "Hey you! What are you doing here, you little bitch?"
She sees a lion with bushy brown mane coming running to her, going to claw her but he realizes that she's already been clawed. He stops with a growl, "What are you doing in my territory…"
"I don't know, okay? I have traveled three fucking days from the Pridelands, just to end here," growls back Kiara, being in her defensive but was surprised when she saw that this lion was in shock.
"Who… are you? What… is your name?" utters the bushy browned maned lion, he has a large scar across his nose while another was a crossed one of his cheeks.
"Kiara, daughter of king Simba and queen Nala," announces Kiara, hissing at the mention of her father, the lion gasps at this and puts a paw on her shoulder, which she took it off rapidly with a snarl.
The lion smiling with an eye roll, "You have totally have your parents' nasty temper, you should've-"
"Wait! How in the fuck do you know my parents and the Pridelands?" Kiara snaps at him, making the lion grin.
"Temper, temper sweetheart," mocks the lion, circling Kiara, "because your mother is my older sister. At first, I just wanted to get away from the Pridelands with Kopa before Zira kills him but this territory is my new home, my master taught me well," he then stops and smiles crazily, "one of our important tasks should be conquer the Pridelands so he can be king, he just needs to find a queen."
"I… I… I'm already the future queen and the future king is…"
"Kovu, I know, there are some lions here that has been spying on the Pridelands for quite some time, now," the lion says with boredom, holding his niece's paw, "let's cut to the chase, will you be the honor to be our master's queen? He'll be delighted to have a queen to rule next to him," he then whispers in her ear, "because if you don't, we'll kill you right away."
Her good eye has enlarged as she let's out a loud gasp, she can see more lions coming towards them, starting to have fear in her good eye, her other has slightly reopened but completely blind. She turns to him with a gulp, "Will you leave my grandfathers, my Kovu, paternal uncle and aunt, my brothers live… and let my mother die peacefully?"
"Well of course, my dear, and my name is Mheetu, if you were wondering what was my name," Mheetu coos at his niece, she looks at him with fear, thinking what she has done and why she left the Pridelands, she was so mean with her grandfathers, she hopes they'll forgive her one day, even thought they must already did with their hakuna matata.
Mheetu continues with a risen eyebrow, "How in the world did you receive that scar on your face, my niece. I'm quite surprised it's that deep, don't worry, there's a mjuzi here that can make it feel better."
"My father," hisses Kiara, she then realizes that these lions can help her avenge her father, "he has slashed my face as you can see," she clenches one of her paws with a look of hatred, "but I would really like to have a revenge on my father for slashing..."
Mheetu has a smirk on his face, "Well, of course my dear niece," he pats her clenched fist, "but first let me introduce to our master, the great Mkatili," he gestures to a dark lion with a very messy mane, he smiles to her as he kisses her paw, "it's a pleasure to meet the future queen of the Pridelands and my future mate."
"If you don't hurt my family, except for my father, I'll be grateful to become your queen," Kiara says with a smug, "now, are you lions have plans to conquer the Pridelands?"
"Why yes, my queen, we do but we still have some things that we need to discuss before heading to the Pridelands," Mkatili says, with an evil smile, "then your revenge will be complete, my love."
"Then it's perfect, I can wait but I hope it won't be too long," says Kiara, some blood leaking a little from her scar which Mkatili licks it.
"Don't worry, I promise it won't be long."
Back in Hakuna Matata Falls…
Kopa was eating a crunchy bug, but he sighs as something is still in his mind, he just doesn't understand why. He felt a paw touching one of his forelegs, he looks down and sees his Grandpops gazing at him with concern. Kopa starts to foil and reveals something, "Grandpops, why did you say you only had Kiara and Kion as grandchildren-"
"I'll stop you right there, kid," Timon says as he pets Kopa's mane, "you know very well how hard it was on me and your grandpa when you disappeared. It really has hurt us and… we can tell you that if it wasn't for our little Kiara, we would really have gotten…"
He stops there and Kopa sees he doesn't want to talk about it anymore and with a paw, Kopa brings him closer as he nuzzles him, Pumbaa was sleeping next to Nala. She cannot sense anything anymore either, like being blind. Timon with a tear sliding down his cheek, looks up to his first grandson, "Come on Kopa, let's go to sleep. Kion, Rani, Bunga and Binga are leaving tomorrow morning."
"Alright Grandpops, I'm sorry that I had to reveal what I had, it's just-"
"You just wanted to know but hey! Remember our philosophy, grandson. I love you." He kisses Kopa on the cheek before going on his grandson's back to sleep, Kopa smiles a little before scooting over to his mother and his eyes starts to be heavy as he finally went into slumber.
In the meantime, Simba was just right outside of Hakuna Matata Falls with Bunga and Binga, while Kion and Rani slept at Pride Rock with Kovu. He smiles at them, he can't believe that his little brother is already grownup, he wipes a tear away. "So Bunga, when will you have your first child?"
Both the two honey badger's eyes have widened, Simba let's out a small chuckle. Bunga looks uncomfortable as he scratches the back his head, "Not now Simba, someday but not right now. I'll have this little cubby coming up to look out for."
It was now Simba's turn to be surprise, "Are you saying, your staying here?"
"I don't know, king bro," Bunga says with tears, wiping them away, "I'm just worried that the dreams that Nala has been keeping having are true."
Simba makes his little brother lean against him, "Bunga, I'll go join my parents and soon Nala but it will take a couple of years before it happens, you understand, don't you?"
Bunga nods and Binga kisses his cheek, which makes Simba laughs a little before the three looks upon the stars that was scattered across the black sky. Binga smiles with Bunga's arms around her, she speaks with full of enthusiasm, "I always thought they were balls of gas burning billions of miles away."
"Of course not Binga," Bunga says, tighten a little his grip on her, "they're must be fireflies that got stuck on that big bluish black thing."
Déja vu! Simba turns to them with a sweet smile and half-closed eyes, "Let me explain to you two what my father has told long ago, well more for Binga because you already know the story, little bro…"
Then he told the great stories of the kings and queens of the past, afterwards he realizes they have to go rest because of their and Kion and Rani's departures, the two honey badgers climbs on Simba's back and they went inside the falls to rest.
The next morning, when the sun has risen Rani and Kion went to get Bunga and Binga at the falls, Bunga who was still worried about Simba and Nala, wasn't sure to return to the Tree of Life anymore. Nala says gently to him, "Bunga, return with them, Simba and I will be alright, he and the rest of the family will take care of me, who knows? You might return right before the cub is born."
Bunga does a long sigh and gives Nala a hug, while Binga also hugs her and caresses a little her unborn niece or nephew, she looks back up at Nala, biting her bottom lip, "Hope you'll be fine, sister-in-law. We'll pray for you if we need to, for the cub to be healthy."
"Thank you, sister-in-law. It's really appreciated."
"It's not that I want to be a meanie and such but we have a long journey," Rani remarks, smiling nervously at her family-in-law. "We have already been away too long and we should get going."
"Of course Rani," Simba says with a half-smile, "It is in your duty and my son's to take care of the Tree of Life. Please take care of yourselves while traveling."
When Bunga finished hugging his uncles, he hugs his older brother. Simba did the same, Kion and Rani nuzzles Nala and moved on to Timon and Pumbaa. Timon puts his paws on his waist, "Take great care of Bunga for us, it will make us less worried… and take great care of yourselves."
"Hey! You're forgetting us!" they all turned to Kovu, Azaad and the former Lion Guard coming their way, they stop to a halt and bows to them. Kion laughs and says, "You don't need to bow to us, you're friends to us... and family. Anyways, we have to go but," he turns to his queen and sighs, "can we go have a quick hello to some friends in the Outlands before we really travel to the Tree of Life?"
Rani licks his cheek, "Of course, we can."
"And there they go," Ono says, resting on Beshte's back, "It was nice to see them, hope they'll have a nice voyage."
"I'm pretty sure they will, Ono," says Beshte as they all departed to do their own things, despite that it's still very early. Simba and Kovu had some business to attend to, however Simba didn't feel like withdraw from Nala.
"Junior, go take care of whatever you and Kovu has to complete," Timon gently says, petting his cheek, "she'll be fine, she's with me and Pumbaa. If we sense some danger, Pumbaa here will use his special power."
Simba chuckles and Pumbaa kisses his cheek. The king and future king of the Pridelands deserted Hakuna Matata Falls, the meerkat sighs in contentment while he and Pumbaa wipes each a tear away. "Pumbaa, I can't believe that this is the little cub that we raised."
"Yeah…" Pumbaa sniffles, and with that the two of them receives a gust of wind as if it was Mufasa responding. Then with that they returned to their daughter-in-law, they see that she's eating slowly grubs but then she gets up clumsily, going to a bush to gag. This makes the duo cringe, she realizes she doesn't know where her resting spot is and Pumbaa helps her. When will the time come for the cub to arrive?
Couple of nights later…
Kiara, Mheetu, Mkatili and the rest of their clan has arrived at the Pridelands, being silent and not waking the Pridelanders, they know their plan by heart. Kiara looks at Hakuna Matata Falls with sorrow and whispers, "I'm sorry mom, Grandpops and Grandpa, please forgive me…"
Mheetu follows her gaze and a smirk spreads across his muzzle, "Ah, Hakuna Matata Falls, it's been quite a while that I have entered there," then turns to his niece, "but no fret, there's always going to be time after our revenge on Simba…" but suddenly he realizes something, "you Kiara, you can go to the falls, we'll do the revenge for you, it will be perfect."
"Very well, Uncle Mheetu," says Kiara with an evil grin, "hope daddy will suffer for what he has done to me," and with that she goes inside Hakuna Matata Falls, looking for her mother and grandfathers, she then found her mother lying where she usually sleeps, and she shakes her head, "Oh mommy…"
Kiara sees her mother lifting her head up a little, she speaks, trying to hear where the source of the voice is, "Kiara, is that you, daughter?"
Kiara exhales and goes to see her mother, "Yes mom, it's me… please stay calm, it will be over soon, I promise."
"Where were you these last couple of days? What do you mean it will be over soon?"
"These questions aren't important, mom. You should rest." Kiara said in frustration, not liking where this is going. She suddenly hears a roar from Pride Rock, she does an evil grin, perfect, he's soon going to be a goner. Then she hears some voices coming closer, her eyes have widened and her tail moves sideways, she's so delighted that she's going to see them, she still has some little love for her mother even if she has made a bad choice keeping this little shit.
"Grandpops? Grandpa?" calls Kiara. They immediately appeared and she hugs them quickly, tears escaping her eyes, she felt so good to cuddle them, the duo starts to cry with joy. Timon caresses the top of her head, "Oh grandcubby, we're so relieved that you're alright."
"Ah, Timon and Pumbaa," says a voice that the duo haven't heard from a long time, they turn to see nothing more than Mheetu, he grins at them as he nuzzles them at his turn, "I'm glad to see you two again," and turns to see his pregnant sister laying her head on a thick root of a tree, "Nala, sister, I'm home now," he was going to nuzzle her until he nearly got another scar and she sends him a dark look.
"How could you have taken Kopa away from us, Mheetu? I thought you loved us!"
By telling these sentences, it made her exhausted, Mheetu puts gently a paw on her swollen belly with a sinister tone in his voice, "Please stay calm sister, it won't help your future cub, will it?"
Tears escapes Nala's blind eyes, her heart starting to pound, her head feeling dizzy. She couldn't believe that her little brother is now in the dark side, being the new Scar, what has happened to him during the time he left? Pumbaa was going to fart on him until Kiara stops him, "No Grandpa, don't! He's part of family!"
Timon and Pumbaa have given her a quick glare, Timon crosses his arms on his chest, "What is the meaning of this, Kiara? Don't you see how mean-"
"Well she deserves it, Grandpops. She is now dying because of this little thing," Kiara scowls at them but she calms down, "look, the grand master Mkatili will be king of the Pridelands now," she says with a crazy laugh and then continues to smile evilly, "As much as I love Kovu, he needs to leave the Pridelands or he's a goner."
Nala, Timon and Pumbaa gasps at what they just heard, Mheetu looks all proud at his niece, Nala chokes a sob and utters at her daughter, "What has… your uncle done… to you? Y- You…"
"Uncle Mheetu and the great master made me realized that we need a better king, instead of father," says bluntly Kiara, uncaring for her mother, "and for you mother, you'll soon pass on into the other side where all the kings and queens of the past are. So, you're almost finished anyways, you can't do anything much, you're too sick-"
"Leave mother alone, if you want to be a bitch to her, get out!" Kiara recognizes her older brother's voice, he goes in front of Nala with a snarl. He then notices his uncle, "You!"
"Yes, me," laughs Mheetu crazily, then narrows his eyes at his nephew. "I was worried about you, where have you been?"
"Mind of your own business, you bastard," Kopa growls, Kiara and Mheetu rolls their eyes and Mheetu whispers in her ear something while she nodded, then with that Mheetu states, "Very well, but we'll be watching all of you."
Then with that the two has left, leaving Nala to sob heavily and the three went to her, comforting her with kind words, telling her to ignore these harsh words Kiara and Mheetu were saying. She suddenly falls asleep and went into once again into a nightmare…
When she stirs some hours later, she sees her son sleeping not far from her and hears her father-in-laws having a discussion with Zazu and Rafiki, she hears that Simba is dead, Kovu had found Simba's dead body, gazing at a horror scene: lions were eating his flesh. She let's tears fall down her cheeks, knowing that her mate has died in a terrible way and that her daughter is now in Mkatili's command, she wants herself dead. Timon and Pumbaa collapses before sobbing their hearts out, Zazu and Rafiki telling them to keep quiet and this causes Kopa to stir. He looks in his grandfathers' direction and with tears he has a feeling that it concerns his father. The prince of the Pridelands- well, ex-prince of the Pridelands- goes to comfort his grandfathers as he cried, Rafiki clears his throat, "I'm sorry but the queen has to give birth to the cub before it gets to be worse here."
"It's not already too late for this?" Points out Kopa, raises an eyebrow, "How can it be possible that it will get worse than it is now, those fuckers-"
Rafiki, Zazu and his grandfathers have send him murderous looks, which made him apologize rapidly. When they heard a familiar voice, calling their names, Zazu puts a wing over his eyes, "Here comes trouble… wait a minute!"
When Bunga and Binga appears in front of them, while the five of different species looks at them with horror. Timon scolds Bunga, while snapping his fingers, "Damn- dang it Bunga! Don't you see this is a dangerous place now? It's not safe for you and Binga here anymore."
"Relax Uncle Timon, we only came here to make sure if Nala and Simba are alright," argues Bunga, "Look! We saw those unknown lions, Kion-"
They hear the roar of the elders, they saw some lions flying away. Bunga smirks while a grin spreads across his face, "Speaking of the devil."
"Him too!?" panics Zazu and Bunga places a paw on his face.
"No, he's no devil. Why, what's going on?"
Kopa bursts into tears as the honey badger couple was surprised to see Kopa cry, Timon and Pumbaa also starts to cry, Bunga turns to Zazu and Rafiki, "What is happening… Simba died is that it?"
"Murdered." Rafiki is the only word that has reached Bunga's ear and he and Zazu bursts into tears, Bunga needs to sit down while Binga went to comfort him. The blue honey badger looks at them with glassy eyes, "So, the nightmare was real, Simba was half-eaten and Kiara is now the queen of darkness…"
They were all surprised by his revelation, Kopa approaches him. "You really dreamed about it?"
Then with that Nala's water broke, she shakes her head, "No, no, no! Not right now… it was supposed to be…"
Rafiki sighs in relief, even thought the cub might be a stillborn or even weak, the cub needs to come out, it is time. She thought of screaming but she didn't want any bastards touching her cub, she stammers, "B- B- Binga…"
Binga comes to her side as she caresses her head, whispering in her ear, "It's okay Nala, I'm here, shhhh."
Bunga holds Nala paw and knowing she feels that they are here, makes her stronger. Kion comes in and rapidly nuzzles her, "I'm here mom, all of your remaining family are here, we're behind you."
"Kion, Bunga, Binga," says Nala between her breathing, trying her best to push, "When I'll die, could you take care of my little one for me and bring it to the Tree of Life?"
"The little one is out Nala," Rafiki declares which makes everyone sigh out of relief, but their joy is quickly shortened, "but wait, this cub… it's lifeless. I'm sorry but he's a stillborn."
"Chaka," Nala has said with difficulty, even thought she knows that this cub is already dead, she still gives him a name. A random lioness comes out of nowhere and grins, "Queen Kiara would want the child, now hand it over," then with that Rafiki apologizes to the now former queen as he has no other choice to give it to this evil lioness. Nala nods with understanding and Rafiki hands the cub to the lioness, which she leaves immediately leaves.
Timon throws his arms in the air, "We're really being watched-"
He stops as Nala continues to breath heavily, Bunga looks at Kion and Kopa while they stare at their mother, Nala took all her might to push and the second little cub is born. The cub was mewing and Rafiki puts it close to Nala, she smiles through tears, "Hi, little one… I'm sorry I cannot see you, you'll have amazing grandfathers, older brothers and an uncle and aunt who will love you."
Kopa and Kion went to nuzzle their mother, Timon has his hands on his chest filled with emotion and Pumbaa cries a little with happiness, Bunga and Binga giving each a kiss on Nala's forehead, Zazu and Rafiki just smiling at this scene. She continues to say at the little bundle of joy, "Daddy and I will watch you with your grandparents and the other kings and queens of the past."
"What will you name the little guy, Nala?" asks Timon, anxious to know what's his grandcub's name.
"It's a girl." Rafiki corrects him with a chuckle, while Zazu just puts a wing over his eyes once more. Why do they always think it's a little guy?
"Well, what's going to be her name?" Pumbaa questions Nala, feeling all excited. Nala can hear the little cub mew a little and she looks down at it, despite being blind and beams, "Your daddy and I had decided a name in my early pregnancy, and it will be Amara," she then breaths out, suddenly feeling a little lightheaded, she shakily licks Amara's head, "my fifth child… second daughter," then with that she slumps her head on the thick root and her breathing has stopped. Then with that everyone wept a little before Binga brings Amara in her arms, Bunga kissing the top of Amara's head.
Kion sighs heavily as he looks in Kopa's blue eyes, "We should get her away from this place, big brother. This new dark era is not safe for her, especially if our sister despises her since she was in our mother's womb."
Kopa nods and turns to his two grandfathers, "Will you two be ready to go with Kion, Bunga and Binga… and baby Amara?"
Kovu emerges of some trees and gazes at Nala with watery eyes, he knows that she's dead and gazes at Amara that was in Binga's arms, then turns to the others. "What are we going to do with her?"
"I think it will be best if we bring her to the Tree of Life." Kion simply says, Bunga stands up and goes to him, he shakes his head which causes some interrogation stares.
"No, I think we and if Kopa and Kovu wants, we'll go to the jungle where my king bro was raised," says Bunga as his arms is crossed, "our little Amara will be safe there, there'll be no evil lions, it's far enough from the Pridelands."
Timon and Pumbaa looks at each other with worry, Kopa and Kovu nods approvingly, Kion just nods as he says, "Well, if you want Bunga, so I take that you don't want to return to the Tree of Life?"
Bunga sighs, "No, Binga, my uncles and I will be happy that we'll go there and hopefully that Kovu and Kopa will follow."
"Don't worry Uncle Bunga," says Kopa with a nod, "It will be a pleasure to do so, and to the looks of it the lions are too powerful, let's wait a couple of years to battle them. Let's not alert the others prides yet, let's wait when the time comes, we don't know when but one day."
"Good idea nephew," Bunga is suddenly cheerful, probably because he's being called 'uncle' but then turns serious, he rotates to Kovu as he says, "Kovu, bring Amara with you right away, if these lions sees you, you'll get killed like king bro and that we don't want that."
"Wait! I just realized she would need a lioness milk, go bring her to the Tree of Life so she can have milk and when she'll be healthy and strong, you can bring her to the jungle!" declares Rafiki, whacking Bunga on the head, and that made everyone agreed with the mandrill.
Kovu takes a deep breath and nods once more, he takes Amara in his mouth, even thought that they know the cub's too young to travel, they have no choice, they absolutely want her out of the Pridelands, out of the new darkness. Timon and Pumbaa looks at each other as they kiss their small granddaughter on the cheek, Timon pets gently her forehead, "Have a nice travel, granddaughter," and wipes a tear away while gazing at Kovu, "Take care of her, grandson-in-law. She's in your paws now, Pumbaa and I doesn't want anything to happen to her. We love you both."
Kovu nearly drops Amara but he puts her down for a moment and looks at Timon with a risen eyebrow, "I'm still your grandson-in-law even thought…"
"Yes Kovu, you'll always be our grandson-in-law," Timon feels more tears leaking out of his eyes, he feels a hoof on his shoulder, Timon turns to Pumbaa with a weak smile. "Don't forget this."
"Uncle Timon…" Bunga trails off, not hoping that they'll stay in this new dark era. They hear some hollering from animals, they even stopped hearing Thurston after he just yelled, "Panic and…" and that was just it, meaning the lions have killed him. Thunder were heard, smoke of fire was smelled, there were no more time to fool around, especially with Amara. Kovu hugs Timon and Pumbaa before he takes Amara in his mouth again and disappears.
Kopa and Kion spins to their grandfathers in shock, Kopa gulps as tears filled his blue eyes. The brothers and the honey badger couple weren't ready to hear this phrase from the duo but they had no choice.
"We're staying here."
Author's Note: Now, let me explain for the beginning of the chapter, yes, Simba is king but he was still afraid of his family's reactions and... he and family can be protective towards their family members (just like Timon and Pumbaa were with Nala in the beginning of the chapter) in my headcanon. Mkatili means cruel in swahili, so here he is with his clan and Mheetu, and no Mheetu in my actual headcanon is just a little crazy but not evil.
I imagine Nala and Bunga had sorts of dreams that were true. So yeah, it's the end for the Kiara and Kovu couple, Kiara has become evil and her new king Mkatili wants Kovu to be executed if Kovu's putting a paw in the Pridelands (this part he doesn't listen to his queen) again, that's why he needed to leave rapidly, he was very lucky he didn't get caught. You know what's funny? The death of Simba wasn't supposed to be like that, it was supposed to be like Nala's dream in the first chapter and Kiara wasn't to be evil but because I saw some AU drawings of the LK, I decided to make it a little darker.
I can tell you, that she isn't completely evil at first because she lets her family live but in the next chapter it will change. You'll understand in the next chapter why the duo wants to stay close to Kiara. Anyways, what do you think of the introduction of Mkatili and Mheetu?
Oh and thank you DakotaKion for the review.
