Ellen reloaded
On Monday, Miley had to leave the house pretty early. The video was done, but if she wanted to make some last minute changes, she would have to tell the production team as soon as possible. After watching it a several times, she only wanted a few details to change, and 3 hours later, everything was ready. As planned, she would present the first single from her new album this afternoon. The single had the same title like the album, which was Younger Now, and as a surprise, she would also present a second song, Malibu. She met Hans for a late lunch and afterwards, they were heading to the studios where The Ellen Show was being recorded.
What Miley didn't know was that Hans had already talked to Ellen while she was finishing the video. His girlfriend never failed to mention that Ellen only managed to scare her once, but after that, Miley was just too smart to let that happen again. And that was exactly what they would be testing today. Since both of them knew that the young popstar couldn't go pass a mirror without checking herself before such a tv appearance, Ellen made sure that there would be only one outside of their dressing room. This one was prepared to change from a mirror to a simple window by switching on a light, and as soon as that happened, an actress, disguised as a terrifying ghost, would scream and run towards Miley.
Just like Hans expected, he was ready a lot earlier than his girlfriend, so he already left the dressing room and was looking for the best spot to hide. And he definitely wasn't surprised that Ellen had already chosen the same exact spot. This was one of the things that Hans loved about her, and which was probably also one of the main reasons for Ellen's huge success, she simply loved her job and her guests, and people could see that every single episode.
A little bit later, it was show time, Miley had left the room, looking for Hans or to just walk around for a bit, it didn't matter because everything just turned out like planned. As soon as the singer saw the mirror, she stopped in front of it to take a look at her appearance. Ellen and Hans were hiding, giggling like little children, behind the corner, and a few seconds later they heard Miley scream, followed by some solid cursing:
"Fuck you, fuck you, all of you. Where are they? I hate you!"
But as soon as Ellen and Hans came around the corner, both of them in tears of laughter, she couldn't be mad anymore. It was just too funny to see how these two, seemingly, adult and mature people were so proud because their prank worked out. Especially when Hans put his arms around her, the world seemed to be perfect again, even if she hit him in the shoulder as hard as she could…you know, just to make sure he didn't get too proud of himself.
About 10 minutes later, the show started, and they were waiting for the signal to join Ellen on her stage. The show was planned a bit different than usual, where Ellen was having 2 to 3 main guests who came out separately and each guest stayed for about 15-20 minutes. For today, Hans and Miley were her only guests, since she planned on doing a more detailed interview with them. What was more, Ellen really appreciated the fact that they agreed to have their first public appearance on her show, and she really wanted to use that as much as possible. And after the interview, Miley would perform her 2 songs, and last but not least, she also had a special surprise for Hans, and she couldn't wait to let him suffer.
As soon as they were announced, people started to cheer. Of course, Perez Hilton's blog and his opinion on the young couple had been noticed, but so had been the support of Hollywood's finest. And people were just curious to know what they had to say about their relationship. Did Miley really put a hold on her party life, drugs and scandals? How was it possible that America's most wanted bachelor had fallen in love with this rebellious artist? Was it a real relationship, or was it just a PR campaign after all? So many questions…
With a smile on their face, they gave Ellen a hug and sat down on the couch. The audience was still cheering for them, and it took another minute before Ellen could start with the interview:
"Miley, it's a bit of a different welcome than last time, isn't it?"
"Haha, that's true, and thinking back to the last couple of years, it's definitely a bit of a change, but I could get used to it"
"And I have to say, you look amazing. Besides that, it almost seemed like you had kind of vanished over the last few weeks, what have you been up to?"
"Well, first of all, we wanted to take some time to get to know each other better, since we only met for the first time at this famous photo shoot. We also went to Europe for 10 days, so I got to meet Hans' family and we attended the wedding of one of his closest friends. Afterwards the concert in Manchester, working on my new album, he's working on a new movie together with Will…you could say that we have been quite busy."
"Hans, what were the reactions in Luxembourg? It had to be quite a surprise for them as well?"
"Well, apart from the fact that literally everybody seemed to be surprised that I have girlfriend at all, I have to say that the reactions were very positive and…calm. My parents were just happy that finally one of their sons presented a girlfriend to them, only a couple of friends were a bit excited and surprised that I managed to date such a celebrity. I suppose I'm too normal for them…when it comes to other people, it was pretty uneventful. Miley isn't as popular in Luxembourg as she is over here or in England, so we didn't get bothered too much."
"Sounds great. But the most important question Miley, how are you? The last time you were here, you revealed that you basically have been miserable for the last 8 years, which sounded a bit frightening to me, coming from such a young and successful woman."
"That's true, and I'm still fighting with some fears and uncertainties, but unlike before, they usually disappear after a short time, and I finally got to a point where I can say that I'm absolutely happy again"
"I'm so glad to hear that, Miley. But what fears are you talking about? Getting back into old habits, hanging out with the wrong people or trusting the wrong management?"
"No, I would rather call it a fear of loss. Especially after this so-called VIP blogger published his articles, I was afraid that Hans would get tired of dealing with all these public hostilities and ask himself if this relationship is really worth all the trouble"
"Hans, these articles were pretty rough, to say the least. The first one was only directed towards Miley, in the second one, both of you have been openly attacked, even on a personal level. What was your reaction when you read these articles, and what do you think about Miley being scared that this might be a reason for you to break up with her?"
"Well, to be honest, I really don't care at all if this person attacks me. When we found out about his second article, we were just in Manchester, and like I explained to Miley, I'm happy with every insult directed towards me, because that's one less that she has to take. What I can't tolerate though is if someone attacks my girlfriend, especially on a personal level, even more because I know how much she suffers from this. Considering her fear that this might make me question our whole relationship…all I can do is to try my best to comfort her and make her understand how ridiculous that is. I don't care a bit if people think that it's just a PR thing or if Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddlestone are still the number 1 It-couple on this planet…all I care about is Miley and that she's happy. And nobody will be able to change that."
"The accusations that are made are partially very serious, and like you said, very personal. Ugly, wannabe popstar, drug abusing whore, bitch…how would you react if you met the author of these articles?"
Hans started to smile as he replied:
"It depends…would there be any witnesses?"
"Eh, to keep you out of trouble, let's say at a public event…"
"Hard to say, I would probably just ignore him. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that he would try to take advantage of the situation and have a go at Miley. And then…I really can't say what would happen"
"What's your view on the different allegations? That the whole relationship is just a well-planned scam, which is easy to spot due to the fact that Miley is not the type of girl you used to date, too ugly and not in the same league like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry or Kendall Jenner for example, who would be a much better fit for you?"
"You know, not being my type…to me, that sounds somehow so disrespectful to women…like us men going on a hunt, and just take the one we like most as a prey and take her back to our cave. But ok, I have to admit, Miley is completely different from the women I used to date before her. But at that point, I had never met her, and so I had no idea what was the missing piece in my life. Too ugly for me…I mean come on, look at me, that would only make sense if you turn it around. But you know what people say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Let me ask you a question Ellen, who is, in your opinion, the most beautiful woman in the world?"
"That's easy to answer, Portia of course" Ellen replied with a smile.
After that answer, Hans stood up, took a microphone and went to a middle-aged couple in the first row:
"Hi sir, may I ask your name and your occupation?"
"Sure. My name is Derek, I'm 51 years old, I live in Pasadena and I'm working for Hewlett Packard"
At this point, Ellen had to say something:
"Are you taking over my job?"
"Don't worry Ellen, only for a couple of minutes. Derek, who is this lovely young lady sitting next to you?"
"That's my wife Karen"
"Now, let me ask you the same question, who is, in your opinion, the most beautiful woman in the world?"
"Hans, I think you know the answer to that"
"Let me guess. Miley?
"Haha, I have to admit that Miley is a beautiful young woman, but no. My wife Karen of course"
"And that's exactly how it's supposed to be. Oh, just out of curiosity, how would you react if someone would call your wife an ugly drug-addicted slut?"
Derek shrugged his shoulders and said:
"I would rip his head off"
"Anyone else?" Hans asked to the audience.
There was no specific answer, but all the men in the audience started the cheer and clap, and Hans turned around to Ellen:
"See? I'm actually way too nice"
He went back to the couch and continued:
"What I'm trying to say is, of course not everyone will say that Miley is the most attractive or beautiful woman in the world. And not enough of a celebrity? Please, what does that even mean? Fact is, to me, Miley simply is the most wonderful and beautiful human being I've ever met. And if there are 10 people that think we shouldn't be together or 100 million, that just doesn't matter. She makes me happy, and I love her like crazy…and that's the only thing that matters to me"
The audience and Miley were touched by this first public love announcement, and she shortly squeezed his hand to show her appreciation.
"What about you Miley? How do you feel being in this relationship? It seems like you have no reason to be scared of anything"
"It's hard to explain. When I met Hans for the first time, I was probably at the lowest point in my life. Just the fact that he managed to get me out of a very dark place back to where I'm enjoying my life again…that's something I will never forget and I will forever be thankful for. And besides the fact that he's simply the best in everything, it's the first time that I feel like every woman should feel in a relationship. Absolutely loved and secure, knowing that no matter what's gonna happen, no matter how hard life will be, as long as he is there, everything turn out fine"
This statement made a lot of women smiling knowingly at their partners.
"Miley, you're almost making me jealous. And, to put an end to the discussion of this relationship being just some sort of PR thing, we wanted to show you a couple of pictures"
Now Hans became suspicious:
"Pictures?"
"Are you scared?"
"A little…"
"Don't be. Not yet. I just want to show the audience a few picture we received from the concert in Manchester"
The first picture that Ellen was showing was from the red carpet, where Hans was smiling at the camera, as intended, while Miley was looking at him. Another one showed Miley, posing with Ariana Grande, while Hans was in the background, looking at his girlfriend with a smile on his face. And Hans had to admit that this was exactly the kind of pictures, where you could see that nothing was staged, that erased any doubt about this relationship being real. Sometimes, Ellen was a real sweetheart.
"Miley, something else, I heard from a very reliable source that you like to claim you would know all my tricks and I wouldn't be able to surprise you anymore."
"I wonder who that source might be" she answered, giving Hans a nasty look.
„You know I can't reveal my sources, but anyway, here's a short video of what happened earlier backstage"
The video started with some of Ellen's employees preparing the mirror, the "ghost" getting his makeup done, then showing Hans and Ellen hiding behind the corner and finally Miley, checking herself in said mirror. And although Hans had already seen everything before, he was laughing like crazy as Miley started to scream and cursing at anybody crossing her path.
Ellen had a great time too when she suddenly turned her attention to Hans:
"Well, these young guns just can't keep up with us. But what about you, are you someone who's easy to scare or are you a bit tougher to prank?"
"Well, let's say, I suppose you would have make a bit of a bigger effort to get me" he answered innocently.
"I see. But, how long has it been since you visited me for the first time, about 3 years if I remember correctly? I just want to show a short clip to my audience from that show"
Hans turned around skeptically to take a look at the big screen. A short clip was played where Ellen welcomed Hans and he seemed to wipe something out of the host's hair before they burst into this legendary flash of laughter.
"I'm pretty sure you remember this?"
"Yes…"
"Until today, we haven't really revealed what happened back then"
"No…" Hans started to feel very uncomfortable and was sweating a bit.
"Don't you think it would be about time to release the backstage video?"
"Wait, I thought these recordings were unusable?"
"Oh, did I say that? Well, fortunately, one of our editors found a way to fix it" Ellen replied with an evil grin.
"Oh hell no"
„What do you think? Shall we take a look at the video?"
„Is there any way I can prevent you from doing this?"
"I don't think so. But what does the audience think, would you like to see what happened 3 years ago before the show?"
The reaction of the audience was clapping, cheering and screaming…American people were just crazy when it came to their tv shows.
"Well, I think the answer is pretty clear to me" Ellen said to Hans, who asked her in despair:
"Why are you doing this to me? I thought you liked me?"
"I do, but I also think that these people deserve to know the truth"
Hans sighed and buried his face in his hands:
"Ellen, I really didn't expect this from you, you are just a bad person"
Everyone could see that Miley had no clue what was going on, so of course Ellen had to make Hans suffer even more:
"I suppose you told Miley what happened?"
"No" Hans murmured.
"Excuse me? "
„No, I haven't, apparently the video didn't even exist anymore " Now Hans turned from murmuring to whining.
„Well, looks like you were wrong. Ladies and gentleman, dear Miley, I present you one of the bravest people this city has ever seen, Jerome Hansen"
Hans sighed:
"God, I hate you", but he had to admit that he was curious to see how ridiculous this was going to be.
The video started with Ellen hiding in the bathroom and Hans coming into the dressing room a bit later. You could see how he was checking everything and hear him say to Ellen's assistant:
"Well, I suppose she thought she couldn't get me anyway"
After this, the video was forwarded to the point where Hans took the sandwich from the delivery guy and entered the bathroom to wash his hands. And just as he entered and Ellen jumped out from behind the door, the video stopped.
"Just to make sure you'll be able to fully appreciate the unbelievable coolness that you're about to see, I advise you to put your focus not only on what you can see, but also on what you can hear"
The video continued with Ellen jumping out and screaming, and you could see and hear how Hans jumped backwards, with a loud screech, against the wall, smacking his sandwich right into Ellen's face. Ellen had shown a lot of videos where she was scaring celebrities, but this one with Hans' reaction and both of them lying on the floor, tears of laughter running down their cheeks, Ellen covered in sandwich ingredients, just topped everything. When they replayed the scene from the following show where Hans swiped some mustard out of Ellen's hair and both of them just lost it again, the whole audience was going crazy, Hans tried to hide his face under his t-shirt and Miley was laughing so hard she couldn't almost breathe. After two minutes had passed, Hans got up from the couch and bowed to the audience, which only made them cheer even more.
It took a couple of minutes before everybody had calmed down and Ellen announced a short break.
"After a short commercial break, we'll be back with our guests Miley Cyrus and Jerome Hansen, and they will tell us about their plans for the near future and we will talk about Miley's new album. So please stay with us, we'll be back in a minute"
Ellen turned to her guests and smiled at Hans:
"Didn't see that coming, eh?"
"I didn't, no…I hope that was the last surprise for today"
"Who knows…probably…maybe…"
„What is that supposed to mean?"
"You'll see"
Before Hans could say anything to this, the commercial break was over and the show went on. Ellen took the lead again, and if Hans had thought she would let him off the hook now, he was very wrong:
"So, before we move to the next subject, Hans, I have to ask you a couple of questions. First of all, what was that weird sound coming out of your mouth?"
"God, Ellen, please, haven't you embarrassed me enough yet?"
"You smacked a sandwich right in my face so, no, I don't think I'm done yet"
Hans sighed and said:
"What can I say? I almost shat my pants, I didn't really focus on what was coming out at the upper end of my body… "
"Um, ok. Last question, I promise. Why, in God's name, does someone take a sandwich with him when he goes to the bathroom? "
"Well, you never know when you have to defend yourself with a nice sandwich bullet" Hans replied with a big smile.
"Sounds reasonable, cause you never know what is waiting for you behind the next door. But I think we can drop this now, I'm pretty sure that Social Media will know to honor this legendary shot. So let's move on and tell us a little bit about your future plans"
"I would say, the most important thing right now is for us to develop some kind of routine, organize our work in a way that allows us to still spend as much time together as possible. As mentioned earlier, my company just started a new movie project, and I'm gonna have to spend some time working out, I mean, now that I have a younger girlfriend, I have to stay in shape. But priority number one will be of course to enjoy and deepen my relationship with Miley"
"What about you Miley? I heard you also have some exciting news? "
"I do, yes. Like I told already last time when I was here, I'm gonna be one of the new season of The Voice, where shooting will start this summer. My new album is almost done and will be released in two weeks, so that will include a lot of promotional work and live performances"
"Sounds like a lot of stress for both of you"
"It is, but I'm at that point again where I can't wait to get up in the morning and go to work, just loving what I'm doing right now. And of course, it's a nice feeling to know that there's someone waiting for you when you get home after a hard day of work"
"Well, we've almost reached the end of today's show, so let's talk a bit about your new album. What exactly makes it different from your previous works?"
"First of all, I would say it's much more mature. It is about the changes that I went through over the last years and months, about my dark times and how I've come to accept who I am and who I was. I can say that this is definitely the most personal album I have ever done"
"I was told that a lot of the lyrics have been written by you personally, or at least you were heavily included in them?"
"That was something that's really important to me. I am already a very emotional person, but music just helps me to express my feelings even stronger and clearer, and I think it helped me a lot to come at peace with my past and to look forward to everything what is about to come"
"I couldn't have said it any better. We'll have one last short commercial break before we'll hear the world premiere of the first single from Miley's new album. So, stay tuned, I guarantee you don't want to miss it"
As soon as the break had started, Ellen had to taunt Hans again:
"Shat your pants? I had no idea you were such a pussy…"
"Pff, you just got lucky that you caught me off guard"
They kept talking for another couple of minutes while Miley went backstage to change her outfit for the performance. Soon, the break was over and the show reaching its final minutes…and little did Hans know that his biggest surprise was yet to come.
"Welcome back everybody to the last part of today's show. Hans, I have a last question to ask you before we'll see Miley perform. Being together with a former Disney star, what do you think about this kind of tv shows, or better asked, who were your childhood heroes?"
"Well, just like everybody, I love Disney movies and tv shows, but I would say that my childhood heroes were a bit more on the tougher side. My all-time favorites are probably Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill, who are pretty unknown in the US as far as I'm aware"
„Oh, I see. Well, have you ever been…how should I say…forced to watch movies as a kid that you didn't really felt like watching? "
This sounded very suspicious again…
"Not that I remember…"
"Oh. Good. But in that case, you have to explain the following picture to us, because it doesn't really match the idols you mentioned"
Hans knew this couldn't be good:
"What now?"
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we proudly present: Little Hans and his first visit to a movie theater. I would also like to take the opportunity and say a big thank you to his parents who were so kind to provide us with this beautiful picture. I don't think that there's another word that needs to be said"
Hans didn't want to turn around and look at the picture, but considering the reactions of the audience, Ellen seemed to have gotten her hands on a very embarrassing one. So he couldn't help himself and take a look, and what he saw was a long forgotten horror of the past, a picture that only a mother could be proud of. The picture showed Hans when he was about 9 or 10 years old, posing proudly with his ticket next to a life sized statue of Ariel the Little Mermaid. He was wearing a very shiny green sweater, a baseball cap that was double the size of his head and showing the biggest smile ever. In other words, it was the kind of picture that mothers loved to show around and children were deeply ashamed of.
"Why, Ellen, why? What have I ever done to you to deserve this?"
"Like you mentioned already before, I am just an evil person. But seriously, Ariel the Little Mermaid?"
"I don't know, I was like 9 years old. And Ariel was…cute, everybody loved her"
"I understand" Ellen replied and looked at Hans with a malicious joy in her eyes. She just loved it to surprise her guests.
Hans was actually a bit grumpy and said:
"Couldn't you have shown a picture of me going to see Jurassic Parc?"
"Of course I could have, but where would have been the fun in that? But I think you suffered enough for one day. We're almost at the end of our show, and I am very happy to present you the world premiere of Miley's new single Younger Now. Please enjoy"
Miley stepped on the stage where the studio band was already waiting for her. The music started to play and Miley began to sing:

The audience seemed to love the song, and so did Hans. The lyrics were, like Miley had announced before, deep and emotional, they described some of the emotions she experienced in the past, but also since she met Hans. The feeling of finally waking up from a nightmare, the acceptance of her past and the joy of life she was experiencing right now.
And just when Hans thought the show would be over and they would go backstage, he had to realize how wrong he was again. Ellen took the word again, but not to end the show:
"That was Younger Now from Miley's new album, an amazing song. And as a surprise, Miley will perform a second song, a very romantic one, with the title Malibu"
Surprised, Hans looked over to Miley, as far as he knew the plan was to perform only one song. She just smiled at him and had to say a few words before she started:
"The next song is the most personal and emotional one I have ever done. All the lyrics were written by myself, and it is dedicated to a very special person"
She looked Hans into his eyes and continued:
"This is your personal surprise I promised you, and I hope you'll like it"
Hans had no clue what was going on right now. It seemed like Miley wrote a song for him, something he would have never expected. And he was a bit afraid, during his NBA career, he got a lot of presents from fans, so he was kind of used to it, but when it came to movies or music, he was sometimes a bit on the emotional side. Miley gave him one last smile, closed her eyes and the music started to play:

During the last verse, there was a single tear running down on Miley's face, and Hans really had to pull it together to not lose his composure. Right at the beginning of the song, he knew what Miley referred to, their first date in his Malibu beach house. He always thought that meeting some terminally ill children in a hospital in Orlando would be the most emotional experience of his life, but hearing this song that Miley wrote for him, he went through some emotions he had never experienced before. He didn't think it would be possible to love this girl even more than he already did, but there were no words that could describe what he was feeling right now.
Miley somehow managed to turn a whole video on the beach in front of his house in Malibu without him noticing anything. She even managed to recruit Daisy (the rescue dog) as an actress, and the scenes where they were running through the sand or sitting there and watching out to the ocean almost made him crack. He hid some part of his face under his shirt, and everyone could see his watery eyes. Especially the last verse where Miley sang about feeling like she was drowning and him being the one that had saved her touched him deep inside.
When Miley opened her eyes again and looked over to Hans, she was a bit scared about the expression on his face. She didn't dare to keep her eyes open during the performance or look at him, because she wasn't sure that she would be able to finish the song. So she only noticed now how he looked at her, seemingly shocked and with watery eyes. She was afraid that it was just too soon for something like this and that she kind of overran him with it. She had no idea how to react to this when he stood up and came over to her. He didn't say a word and just hugged her, unable to say anything. Just like Miley, the audience was eager to see his reaction and now they started to cheer as he took Miley in his arms. It took him a while to let go of Miley, but finally they made their way back to the couch.
As they sat down, Ellen smiled at him:
"You see? I kept the best surprise for last. How do you feel about Miley having done this for you?"
"Phew, I have no idea. Nobody has ever done anything like that for me, and…I mean…the video…and Daisy…and…Jesus, I'm just speechless"
"Well, I'm happy you liked it" Miley whispered to him and briefly put her head on his shoulder, while Hans was wiping his eyes one more time and looked into the camera with the possibly most stupid grin ever seen on tv.
Ellen joined in by saying:
"And I'm happy that we were able to clear up a lot of things, and I only wish you all the best for your common future. We have now arrived the end of today's show, and Hans, one last thing…"
"What…?"
"I think I would also deserve a little hug"
"Alright, but just a little one. And only because the last surprise was amazing"
Under the applause of the audience, he gave Ellen a big hug, only to jump in the air a second later because he felt an electric shock going through his body. It wasn't strong enough to hurt him, but he got a damn scare out of it. He jumped away from Ellen and started cursing as he ran out of the studio:
"Fuck, why, why, why? God, I hate you"
Just a few seconds later he reappeared, went to the first row of the audience and sat down next to an elderly woman. He put his head on her shoulder an asked, with the saddest look in his eyes he was able to show:
"Why is she being so mean to me?"
"Oh honey, I have no idea" the woman laughed and rose to the occasion by putting her arm around Hans. The audience was going crazy, Ellen and Miley were having a great time, and a memorable talk show came to an end.
Ellen tried to pull herself together to say her goodbyes:
"Thanks for watching a rather unusual episode of the Ellen Show, I'm sure we're gonna remember this one for a long time. Take care and see you next time. Hans, don't be such a baby and come back over here."
"What? No thanks, I'm fine here"
The show had come to an end and Hans took the ladies' smartphone to take a selfie with her and as he gave her the phone back, he gave her a big kiss on the cheek. Unlike most celebrities who always left the stage after the show as fast as possible, Hans usually took some extra time for selfies and autographs. He was joined by Miley, who loved spending time with her fans and was again surprised how thankful people were that these stars took a few extra minutes to spend time with them and just do a little more than expected. Of course Ellen didn't want to be left behind, and the next day, social media were overflooded with pictures of the 3 of them posing with fans and taking time to chat with them.
On their way home and also back in the mansion, Hans was unusually quiet. After they had eaten something and Miley was taking a shower, he poured himself a glass of Whiskey and went outside to sit on the bench in the corner, to enjoy the view of the city. Miley felt that something was bothering him and went outside to join him:
"Hey, is everything fine?"
"Hm? Yes, of course, why are you asking?"
„I don't know, you have been so quiet since we have left the studios. I'm somehow a bit afraid that I kind of blindsided you with this songs and that things are moving too fast for you."
"What? No, trust me, when it comes to you, things can't move fast enough for me. I just have to take everything in." He turned around and looked at Miley:" I mean, I have never received something as…personal…as today, that was by far the most precious gift I have ever received. And I have no idea how I should handle this. All these years I was convinced I had everything in my life and I couldn't be any happier, and suddenly you come around the corner and show me all the things I've missed, and how much more there is. I feel like you're the missing piece that completes me, and with this amazing song, you just showed me how much you care about us. And that makes me…happy. I don't know Miley, but this might have been the first time in my life that I have been completely speechless."
"So you really like the song?"
"Like it? I just love it. But you have no idea how close I was to just tearing up when I saw you and Daisy sitting at the beach. That was mean. But how long have you been planning this? I had absolutely no clue at all."
"I would say, the idea started to form pretty soon after our date. You still don't realize how close I was to having just a complete breakdown before I met you, and how far I was into this swamp of parties, drugs and alcohol. I did everything to avoid dealing with my depressions, and this date was the first time that I felt happy again"
"I had no idea it was that bad. But what about your depressions, you still have to battle them? I thought that would be something that stays with you for a long time?"
"I suppose I still wasn't completely caught up in them yet. I felt down and sad the whole time and was in a self-destructive phase, but I never thought about hurting myself. But still, it was a very dark time, and with this song, I just wanted to show you how thankful and happy I am"
"You definitely have. But 8 years? That's a very long time to be miserable. I guess I can understand now why you're still having these anxieties from time to time"
"I'm just happy that these days are over. Look, I never realize how beautiful LA is from up here"
Hans turned his sight to the skyline of Los Angeles, and he knew that, somehow in this huge crowd of more than 4 million people, he had found his own personal angel. A little smile appeared on his face, and for the first time he felt deep inside what he already told Miley back in Luxembourg…he was home.
