Kenny's eyes, disturbed by the harsh glare of the sunlight from his window. Kenny squinted his eyes then got up by instinct. He felt even more tired than before, like most of his energy drain further away from his body.

Not again. Kenny though drowsily too tired to do anything but sit down, eyes closed to fall back to sleep again to recharge. It happened again with the Mask and this time the memories from last were clear as crystal. He did bring the money back to the bank, but there was more he did while The Mask overpowered him. He took Kyle, Stan, and Cartman to an Italian restaurant to hang out, then he saw Tammy who worked there as a waitress. With the powers he had, he prepared a dinner for two himself and Tammy. Then the cops came and ruined everything, so he fled.

Wait a minute! Tammy has a job now?! Kenny now suddenly realizes that part of the nights' events. From back then, Kenny used to date her. She was a grade higher than he and was less wealthier. Though their relationship ended soon when it came with The Jonas Brothers with those purity rings and after that Kenny died from Syphilis. But why did he act the way he did? Sure, they broke up but deep down he wanted to be with again. Kenny's mind cleared as he glanced at the Mask on the floor. The solemn expression carved with a metal bat with three studs covering its nose lay lifeless on the stained carpet. Something about it sent a chill in his spine. The Mask corrupted him twice in two nights, the person he didn't want to be. For he already had a persona; Mysterion. A masked hero who would be Karen's guardian whenever she felt alone. Not some burglar who caused mischief at night.

"Kenny?" A voice that belonged to a little girl named Karen, Kenny's and Kevin's younger sister. She came into Kenny's room, as she peeked her head to look at her brother, shoulder slumped staring at a weird look mask.

"What's that on the floor?" She pointed to the Mask lying on the carpet, she drew closer letting her curiosity guide her. Before she had the chance to have a touch, Kenny grabbed her wrist before she managed to have her index finger contact with it's surface.

"Nooo! Never touch it! It's very dangerous!" Kenny said letting go of her wrist regretting his outburst towards his sister. Karen was taken aback by this, hurt and confused why she wasn't allowed the old looking relic, the kind that belongs in a museum. But the way her brother jumped from his bed like that. Kenny saw the hurt look from Karen's face as he took off his hood and knelt down to get to Karen's eye level.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you. It's just that it's dangerous."

"Dangerous from what?"

"The...Splinters. This has been chipped badly enough that it has splinters. I was going to throw it away."

Karen's eyes softened, her big brother's reassurance always made her feel safer and always told the truth. He is reminded of her guardian angel whenever she's in trouble or feels afraid.

"Why don't we get ready for church, okay?"

"We can't. The church closed down, the green face menace vandalized it, so they closed down. Mom wanted me to tell you that."

Vandalized? Kenny couldn't grasp the memory of it. Perhaps he didn't think as clearly as he thought. Knowing that he and his family had a free day, he wanted to call Kyle or Stan on what to do next. Karen remained still, though she looked if not frightened.

"What's wrong?" Kenny asked worriedly.

"It's just that, the green -faced kid scares me! What if he tried to break in here and…" She stopped in mid-sentence, too terrified to finish.

"Karen, look at me. He will never come here and hurt us. Not as long as you have a guardian angel with you." Kenny hugged her, as she squeezed tight in return. There was one goal in mind, he needed to get rid of that awful mask once and for all. He longer wanted to be his little sister's nightmare, but her protector. The Mask only brought nothing but trouble and changed those who wear it.

It was Sunday night at the park by the Stark Pond, Stan Marsh sitting on a log, waiting for his date Wendy Testaburger who had an on and off relationship with him. He took out The Mask that Kenny gave to him earlier to dispose of it, pondering what to do with it. He could see it in half but that did no good as he tried earlier in the garage. As a result, the buzz saw was totaled, but The Mask was left without a single scratch. Not even a single dent could appear on it's wooden edges. Stan tried everything to destroy it, throwing in the trash or even in the ocean was out of the question. What if someone else found it and tried it on? Stan looked at the inside of it, the movement of light caught his eyes, a streak of light moved in The Mask. The trance of it made Stan drew closer to it, inches from it but stopped. Startled by a sound from a distance. The sound of a twig snapped. Through the sound the twig cracked under not by a small animal, but a foot that belonged to a human.

"Hello?" Stan called out, getting up to check out where it came from. He walked toward east following the noise changes from fallen branches breaking to bushes rustling (though not by the wind itself.
