At night at the Broflovski's house…
Kyle had a hard time sleeping, his eyes refused to stay closed. Why couldn't he sleep? He didn't feel tired at all. Probably had to do with staying up past his curfew for the last two nights, he thought. But no, his mind was nagging him that something was wrong. Well, no one's wearing the Mask right now, right? So what was there to worry about then?
He stood to see the drawer from his desk where placed it inside. Was it still there? Kyle stood up and took deliberate steps to make sure. Surely, Cartman would try to break in and steal it for himself. Though wasn't great at stealth of getting inside the house as he had numerous times before.
Just then his cell phone rang from the counter next to his bed.
Who the hell would call at this time at night? Kyle thought to himself as he came back to see his screen showing an image of Cartman smiling. The words Fatass underneath the image.
"Hello?" He answered tonelessly.
"Hello, Kahl. Why am I calling you now?"
"Because you want that Mask?" Kyle asked sarcastically.
There was a long pause on the other line until Cartman responded with…
"I have your little brother with me. I will give him back to you if you give the Mask."
Kyle took it into words, knowing how ridiculously he sounded. Knowing well enough that he was just bluffing to get his way. Come to think of it, Cartman had done many horrible things if he didn't get his way.
"You're lying. There's no way you would-" then suddenly stopped hearing crying in the background. It wasn't any crying, but it was Ike's crying.
It got louder as Ike had the phone "Kyle, please help."
Kyle's heart felt like it was getting ripped from his chest as he hears his little brother's voice. Scared out of his mind.
Oh my god…
Cartman was not kidding, he really had Ike held against his will.
Then Ike's wailing sounded distant on the other line as Cartman began to speak, this time more venomously.
"No listen, you give it to me. I'll let Ike go. If you don't-"
"Where the hell are you?" Kyle hissed.
As Cartman gave out his location of where and Ike will be waiting for Kyle's arrival. As soon as he hung up, Kyle grabbed his orange coat and shoes on, and opened the drawer as the Mask stared back at him solemnly.
It didn't glow or talk to him, Kyle considered then stuffed inside his jacket.
At night at the McCormick's, Kenny sleeping in his orange and brown parka, tossed and turned in cold sweat. He was having a terrible nightmare where there were two of himself. One was of Mysterion and the other was a mischievous looking character with a green face and vertical black and white suit and bow tie. They fought in front of a huge crowd of people as they all watched in horror and curiosity how it would end. Kenny with a green face sneered at Mysterion and said..
"Sorry, partner. But there's a new sheriff in town now!" At this he spun around and changed into a new outfit. Dressed in as an old western cowboy, the crowd gasped in shock. Could Mysterion dodge or reflect any bullets. The question was answered as he pulled out pistols and began to shoot mercilessly at the caped crusader. Mysterion began to stagger then collapsed backward. A crying girl came by his side, his little sister Karen was crying her eyes seeing her guardian angel dying right in front of her.
Kenny shot up wide awake, he took his hood to breathe better. It was just a dream, that would never happen. He can't ever give up on Karen or the people he cares about. He longer has the Mask to wear to cause trouble.
