Kyle's feet slammed at the concrete ground, not waiting a moment to lose. He panted as sweat began to prickle on his forehead from acceleration. His right clutching the green wooden mask without much care since it was durable of anything really. People walking beside him looked back in confusion wondering what a ten year old boy would be running in the middle of the night like this. Kyle didn't care what the people thought as he ran past them, nearly reaching his destination. Just a few blocks away.

"Kyle? Kyle, where are you going?" A voice called from a distance. But Kyle did not dare stop to see what the voice belonged too or shout in response. Ike's life was at stake by Cartman. As he turned left to the wide alley seeing two figures standing by a brick wall. Kyle sucked in his breath seeing the terrible as Cartman was holding Ike by the waist. While Ike squirmed and scratched his way to set himself free. But to no avail.

"Well, well. So Kahl, Do you have my mask?" Cartman asked in a way Kyle hates a lot. Then again, what choice did he really have? If he doesn't give in to his demands, his little brother will get seriously hurt or worse. Kyle holds out the Mask, he exhales in defeat knowing what the others will think of this if knew. But if this saves Ike from Peril then so be it.

"Kyle, wait!" There was that voice again as Kyle to see there was not one but two girls standing side by side. Wendy and the new girl, Maraline from school. What were they doing in the night?

"Don't give it to Cartman! You know what he'll do with it." Wendy said while Maraline started at the Mask Kyle was holding in curiosity. So that's what my parents were talking about! She thought to herself though skeptical of its appearance. The Mask was ancient looking not at all like one of ones you wear with a costume or to a masque ball. If it really did bring her parents closer back at Edge City, then it truly has powers. But the question is though as Wendy put it earlier that Mask was evil. Did that mean that it turned her Dad evil when he put it on? Did it turn the other two kids like that, too?

"I have to! He's going to hurt my little brother if I don't give in." Kyle replied then faced Cartman again seeing he was struggling to keep Ike from squirming his way through his fat arms.

"Stop it!" Cartman seethed.

"Give it to me! Now!"

Kyle took a few steps forward holding the damned Mask in front of him, but before Cartman could snatched it out of his grasp Ike bit into his arm making Cartman let go and cry out in pain.

The bite wasn't too painful to break through his flesh but it hurt enough to leave a mark and soar. Kyle grabs Ike by the hand, running out of the alley with the two girls. While Cartman shouts about their deal. They outrun him since he couldn't catch up to them since well…you know.

"Hey! What are you kids doing out at night?" A policeman was hot on their trial as the group passed him. They couldn't stop and explain everything to blow their cover or their friends. The police wouldn't understand since they does not believe in mythology or superstitions. Unless, they did since most adults here at South Park were not very bright. But the Broflovski's and the girls could not risk that at any cost. No matter what happens. They turned a corner throwing the policeman out of their path reaching their homes. As Kyle and Ike headed to the backway of their house without their parents noticing. Before they got inside, Ike embraced Kyle in a tight hug. Thanking him for saving him from Cartman.

"Thank you, big brother." his voice muffled from Kyle's jacket.

Kyle wrapped his arms around, thankful his brother was unharmed and whole. The moment ended as the backdoor swung open with their parents with venomous scowls on their faces. Kyle swallowed at the sight knowing what they'll say about this. There was no way out of this. The brothers could take grounding as they had before, but from the looks of it it was going to be a lot worse than that.

Kyle…Kyle.

The Mask whispered that only Kyle could hear.

This is your chance.

Without thinking Kyle drew the Mask closer to his face, before his parents could say anything. A sharp pain invited him through his skull. It was like the Mask was crushing him.

"Kyle!" his little brother cried out before everything changed. Kyle could only hear the sound of rushing wind blowing and swirling around him. The images flashed before his eyes, moving and waving like water.

I know you changed your mind…Now let's have some fun!

Promise me you won't hurt anyone. Kyle pleaded, hoping that he made the right decision

I promise you, so let's begin. This night will be ours!
