Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of the Fox and the Wolf. Enjoy the 1000-word chapter. I don't own Seton Academy, Bungo, Cygames and a few others do.

"Ferryl…" Nova muttered as he looked at the hulking wolf girl, his arms crossed.

"Nova." Ferryl said as the duo glared at the other.

Both were two of the tallest students in the school, being 14 feet tall. Nova didn't fear her, he didn't have any reason to. They both knew the other and had met before. It wasn't like he didn't have the ability to fight her.

"Do you remember the deal our families have made with each other?" Ferryl questioned which got a snort from Nova as the fox nodded a moment later.

"Yes…. I'm also well aware of how our last encounter went, you know as well." Nova said, placing his hands in his pockets.

He was well aware of how things had been between their families. He knew more than anyone that Ferryl still had a code and she obeyed their family traditions just as he had with his own family.

Still? Both were quite curious with questions on WHY his parents had made this deal… But he DIDN'T care, it was not his business, Nova honored their tradition.

"Our last battle ended with me breaking your arm." Ferryl said which got a hum from Nova.

"I think you seem to forget your gang did not impede me." Nova responded, his tail swishing backwards behind him. "If it was that easy? Then we wouldn't have had this talk. Second? No, you remember wrong. That battle was a draw, Ookami." Nova said before the duo started walking down the street.

He knew for a fact that things between him and her were tense. He was quiet, unsure what to believe. Nova doubted it mattered since this went back before either of them was born. Still? It wasn't like either could explain at the time.

"Your strong for your clan… I will admit that." Nova said while crossing his arms over his chest a moment later. "And I would prefer to keep the young ones out of our family conflict. I have made sure my brother does not understand the deal between us." Nova said as he closed his eyes.

"You are afraid he would raise a resistance to our talk?" Ferryl questioned while she rolled her eyes with a smirk on her face.

"Would you like me to remind you of how we spoke last time?" Nova asked with a smirk of his own crossing his face. "You shouldn't be speaking between us on something like these." Nova said as he crossed his arms.

Ferryl was forced to stifle a growl as Nova chuckled through his lips. She could only ponder what was going to happen next. There was a LOT to do between their families. It was quite interesting for them, but it was business all the same. Both families knew that at the time was quite valuable to them.

"Don't push things, fox." Ferryl growled as Nova started to think about what business his family had planned.

Then again? It wasn't like he had things to ponder at school… Just focusing on Ferryl was his duty. Nova was not a person that didn't focus on things that didn't have concern on his brother. Things were different, they were almost always different at the end of the day. Nova just decided what happened next, he couldn't control the past.

"Don't act like we both aren't scared." Nova said as he pointed another finger towards her. "We have both bowed to the deal our families say up. I don't want to do something unless they ask… And considering they did ask? I decide to bow to it regardless." Nova added with a huff.

Ferryl was silent, more concerned with what her family would say if he didn't think about what they had asked of her…. Still? There was no reason she had to be civil to her new ally.

"Do not believe I will take it easy in our next encounter. I have no reason to, after all." Ferryl added with a smirk that made Nova knew that things were going to be annoying from now.

'Why out of everything do I have to marry the one woman who both of us share such anomicity torward?' Nova thought to himself, more angered at the moment about how this woman was going to bug him to death one way or another.

It would not really get something to really consider when he thought about it. Nova did not want to anger his father or mother. If that meant putting up with his enemy? Then so be it, there would be more times for them to clash down the road… And far more times for him to dwell on her company.

"Don't forget our familes still must talk tomorrow over smaller things." Nova added as he paused to close his eyes, curious as to what his family thought about what happened next.

"And don't you forget we still have another duel to partake in." Nova heard from Ferryl as he sighed, rubbing at his temples as he thought about the next time that they'd clash sooner or later.

"I do not forget, Ferryl." Nova added as he pointed a clawed finger towards her. "And do not forget at the end of the day just how important this is for both of our families. I would not dare to break this type of deal, that is something nobody in my family would be willing to do." Nova put forwards.
