Nova smirked at Ferryl who maintained her stoic nature. She was quite curious as to how he was so confident, however. He acted like he had all the cards. Both looked across each other from a worn-out table that seemed to only come to their hips, it was normal size, Nova always forgot that he and Ferryl were FAR more inhumanly tall then most people seemed to be when it came down to it. Still? It made him simply chuckle.

"Why are you so amused?" Ferryl questioned, gaining a raised eyebrow from the Fox as he did so. "I don't see what you find so funny it at the moment. This agreement affects both me and you." Ferryl stated as Nova nodded.

"Do you remember how we met, Ferryl?" Nova questioned as he crossed his arms over his chest. "How we got to this marriage agreement? I do, I find it funny how we started doing this. You and I got into a fight over something. I can't remember what it was, we were both SO eager to be right. I had never met someone as stubborn and strong willed as you before. It shocked me to the core." Nova added, brushing off his shirt once more.

Nova looked at Ferryl who blinked, unsure of what this meant. Still? She had a small smirk as she began to slowly but surely began to think back over such an issue.

"It was a basketball you had." Ferryl stated to which Nova blinked. "One of my group had taken it and you had taken it back. You said it belonged to your sibling. I said it belonged to my sister and you had to be strong to have it." Ferryl added as Nova nodded, remembering the issue as he did so.

"Yeah, I remember it, then he said something stupid." Nova said as Ferryl nodded, crossing her arms over her chest.

"He called your brother a pathetic runt or some such insult." Ferryl said while Nova leaned back in the cramped chair, causing a crack to ring out as he sighed. "You broke his nose, then we started fighting when I stepped in to defend my pack mate. I was surprised by how strong you were. I hadn't met someone like you who matched my strength on such a level. I remember both of us getting into a much more physical fight." Ferryl said, crossing her legs over her hips.

"And then my brother showed up, thought I was playing with you." Nova responded, looking up at the sky a second later. "It wasn't really like that. I don't remember if I told him the truth. I didn't want to tell him the truth, I don't think I did at all." Nova said to which Ferryl was silent, unsure of her response.

"If it helps? I don't remember what I told my sister at the moment." Ferryl stated, earning a chuckle from Nova as he nodded, unsure what to say in response.

Ferryl only hummed, unsure what to say as well. Nova was caught off-guard by this, but didn't say much to argue with her. It wasn't much like he hadn't enjoyed her company. Ferryl was somewhat his friend after that fight, or at the very least? She decided that he wasn't her enemy at the end, it helped a little.

"You, ok?" Nova questioned Ferryl, getting a nod from the wolf woman as he did so. "Good, I'm glad. I didn't know how that would end up going back then, you know how bad this is?" Nova said as he rubbed at his temples.

"You are very strong for someone I believed was outclassed by every single clanmate." Ferryl said as she chuckled, knowing her group was territorial. "I do have to point out that there will be much more dangerous things in our path then simply our own feelings on this. You should know that." Ferryl said as her nails clicked against the wood of the chair.

"I had to be to protect my family, would you not do the same when it comes down to it? "Nova questioned to which he cracked his fingers against his hips. "Strength isn't worth a lot in a fight, we're quite powerful, skill trumps power. You can be the best fighter in the galaxy, it does NOT make you the most dangerous warrior when it comes down to it." Nova stated while he paused to think about the best option here.

Nova knew something was off. There were always issues when it came down it. There was plenty standing in their way, if something didn't come between them like their own feelings? Then it would be someone trying to manipulate them, both of their families had plenty of enemies, all of them there were eager to cut into this bond.

"How did you parents deal with stuff like this?" Nova questioned, raising an eyebrow as he did so. "There's a lot of political baggage with stuff like this. I'm quite interested in how they figured this thing out, it's not so easy to solve." Nova stated, crossing his legs under him.

Nova watched Ferryl chuckle, amused by how this went next. work was NOT going to be easy between them. There was such much more work to be done, there's plenty of work to be done…

"There is plenty of work to be done, I will have to ask them." Ferryl said, brushing off her jacket as she did so. "If things were quite so dangerous? Then my parents will need to speak to yours. It will be dangerous, there's far too riding on this wedding, there's too much riding upon it." Ferryl added as she slowly but surely stood up.

Nova said nothing, consumed with plenty of thousands of differing thoughts…. All of whom told him something was off, if it was so easy? Then this plan would have been executed years ago.

"I guarantee one of our family's enemies end up killing us before this madness ends." Nova muttered as he slowly stood up. "I could use some air, you?" Nova questioned while he slowly walked towards the door.

"Yes, I could use that that ability to clear my head." Ferryl said, putting a hand to her temples as she did so. "The more I have to dwell on something like this? It clouds my mind at the end of the day. Something I do not need." Ferryl questioned while Nova hummed.

"Please never change, Ferryl." Nova said, pausing as he placed a hand on the wall to keep himself from falling to the ground. "Ugh, my head is killing me." Nova added with a click of his teeth.

Phew. Another chapter done! I apologize for the chapter being short. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show both Nova and Ferryl talking more and bonding and such.
