Episode 4 - Freaky Fightday (Part 2)
We continue where we left off, as Zach, our misguided artist begins his punishment, he has to paint the walls to cover his graffiti and his distant grandfather Ivan is keeping an eye on him while sitting in a beach chair, the knight then says, "Nicely done, keep up the good work." After a bit, Riley comes in and says, "So how is Zach making out?" and the knightly Golden ranger says, "Very well, young Zach here has gotten a hang of his service, though he's not as happy taking off his graffiti as he is putting it on." The green ranger then says, "Well I brought you a drink." and Ivan assuming it's his says, "Thank you I am parched." but actually, the drink is for Zach and Riley responds, "Here you go Zach."
The knight then questions him, "You're helping him?" Riley says, "Oh come on lighten up Ives, everybody makes mistakes." And upset, Ivan gets up and leaves, almost knocking down the umbrella above his chair. The two have a laugh and Zach sips his smoothie and responds, "Mmm, lime's my favorite." Riley says, "Good, mine too." The artist says, "You know this kind of painting is hard work." The green ranger says, "Yeah I know, I've done it the last 3 Fridays." Zach feeling remorse now, as he caused Riley unneccesary work just for his art, he responds with, "Oh well, sorry about that." The green ranger says, "It's a shame too, some of your stuff is really amazing." The artist says, "Thanks. Yeah, I practice a lot." Riley responds, "Yeah, by messing up other people's property." Zach retorts with, "It's not a mess, it's art." He then leans back against a crate, taking a sip of his smoothie. The weight however causes a tray of orange paint to fall onto him, spilling onto his hat and his vest. He exclaims, "Oh this is my favorite vest, it's ruined." Riley then retorts, "Hey yo, it's not a mess, it's art." At first, the artist looks seriously, but after a short smile, he gets the joke and realizes his lesson, the two share a laugh and Riley responds, "Hey I shouldn't have said that, but now you know how it feels when something you really like gets destroyed by a bunch of paint." Zach responds, "Yeah, I guess that makes sense." The green ranger says, "Alright, let's get you cleaned up, so we can finish this up, alright." Zach agrees and Riley says, "Great." and everyone was civil.
After he has finished, Zach is at a table in the café with six of the Rangers surrounding him - Riley, Chase, Shelby, Koda, Tyler and Damon. Then both Ivan and Miss Kendall Morgan arrive at their table and the curator says to him, "Well, you did a good job Zach, it looks good as new." The artist replies, "Thanks. Yeah guys I'm really sorry, I never realized how much work it is to clean up. But I promise I'll never do that again. To anyone." Kendall then says, "Well, we're glad to hear that." Damon says, "If only there was a way you could express yourself without spray painting walls." Ivan then says, "I might have the answer, as Zach has one more lesson to be learned." The worn out artist then groans and says, "Oh man." The knight replies, "Don't 'oh man.' me, my boy, you are going to learn about true artistry from an expert - Me." and Zach just stares, completely baffled.
The two then arrive by the lake where Ivan is wearing a long artist cloak and a red beret showing Zach a sketchpad, he says, "Ah feast your eyes on this painting of the Knight of Zandar." It shows knight on a horse, flying in the clouds with his sword drawn, supposed to be Ivan in the suit. He continues his statement, "Ah, shadows, lighting, if this doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will." Zach replies with, "You know that is kind of interesting. How about if you posed for me?" Completely intrigued, the knight responds, "Music to my ears." So Ivan stands like a statue with his arms held at different angles and Zach grabs the paint tray and begins painting. It begins a montage of the day going by, as different people arrive and later leave the park.
Afterwards, Zach has completed his painting, he responds with, "Alright, that's it. You're done." Ivan says, "Very well." and he goes over to the easel and sees what Zach has created, the artist turns the painting over and Ivan takes a look, but is shocked and replies, "What?" It does show the knight with his sword drawn among the clouds, but instead of a horse, he is riding a flying silver motorcycle that has a horse head. Ivan responds, "This makes him look like a court jester, Look at the colors, the proportions, this is not art." Insulted, Zach picks up the portrait and says, "Well that's just your opinion, man." and walks off discouraged. The knight then stands in shock, until after a second, Riley appears and says, "Hey Ivan, we've got trouble.", pats him on the side and runs off, leaving the knight there reeling until the green ranger, once again signals him, "Ivan, come on." and he replies, "Oh yes.", removes his beret and follows Riley.
Down in the city, in a back alley way, are three monsters we are accustomed to - the chalkboard-head villain Professor Strickler and two revived monsters Game-Face and Nightmare. The two returning villians are exercising to be prepared for any threats. The professor says, "Well done, you are just about ready to fight." And then in a short moment, a group of four rangers start running up to them - Chase, Koda, Tyler and Shelby. Tyler says, "It's Game-Face and Nightmare." Chase also says mockingly, "And a walking chalkboard." Strickler responds, "Switch their bodies!" and Nightmare takes the eraser and replies, "You got it teach." He turns the eraser and it swaps Tyler and Shelby's bodies. He also says, "Next." and it swaps Chase and Koda's bodies. In shock, Tyler says, "I'm in Shelby's body?" Said girl responds with, "And I'm in Tyler's body?" Koda says, "Me in Chase body?" and the skateboarder says, "I'm in Koda's body?" Shelby screams in shock, Tyler says, "This is not cool." And like that, Strickler responds, "Welcome to the school of hard luck." and himself, Game-Face and Nightmare begin their attack on the disoriented rangers.
The rangers do their best to defend themselves in their new bodies, Tyler, now in the pink ranger suit, "Let's power up. Dino steel." They all respond, "Armor on.", they each appear in 4 squares on the screen with the armor appearing on their suits. Tyler is taking on Nightmare and the monster responds with, "Ha ha ha, having a little trouble?" The team leader responds with, "Oh man, I'm not used to Shelby's weapon." Nightmare gets out of the way and Tyler proceeds to land the Tricera-drill into a wall, getting it stuck, replying, "No wait, come on, Tricera-drill." and the monster responds, "Gotcha.", knocks him down, releasing the weapon.
Shelby, now in the red ranger suit, is fighting Strickler, she responds with, "Why is this so weird?" The professor replies, "Allow me to make it worse." and when she aims Tyler's T-Rex blaster, he shoots an electric bolt which shocks her.
Then, Game-Face is fighting against Koda, who is in the black ranger suit, the caveman throws Chase's Parachopper, which Game-Face ducks and the weapon ends up in the wall. The caveman responds with, "Oh Parachopper not for throwing." The sporty monster says, "It's game over for you." and grabs hold of Koda and pushes him down. And just before he tries to throw a punch, Chase, now in the blue ranger suit, says, "Don't even think about it, you basket case." pushing him out of the way. Koda replies with, "Don't worry Chase, your body just a little bit bruised." The skateboarder replies sarcastically, "Thanks Koda." Nightmare then says, "They're so confused, let's finish them." and the battle rages on, the rangers struggle adapting to their new weapons. And when it seemed like our friends were finished, three other rangers appeared - they were Riley, the green ranger currently in Ivan's body, as the Gold and the Knight is in his fellow swordsman's body, as the Green. Along with them is the orange ranger Damon. Ivan responds with, "Dino saber, power slash.", hitting all of the monsters with a green bolt of energy. Riley responds, "I finally get to try this, lightning strike." and a bolt of lightning knocks down Nightmare. The orange ranger then says, "That's not all vile ones, Giganoto quake!" landing his orange weapon on the ground, causing the ground to shake, disorienting the monsters. He also responds with, "Glad they didn't get me." And Riley responds with, "And lucky we're good swordsmen." All three run over to join the others. Tyler and Shelby cheer for their friends' quick abilities, "Awesome! Good job!"
After getting back their footing, the three monsters pull themselves off the ground and Strickler says, "Even with switched bodies, they're too strong." Nightmare replies with, "Come on let's get out of here." and they all respond with, "Class dismissed.", bow down and then teleport away. Tyler responds, "Huh, where did they go?" Chase says, "I don't know, but I'm pretty sure they'll be back."
Back at the base, the Rangers have a lot to deal with, especially the ones who got their bodies swapped, too avoid confusion, the altered Rangers choose to wear their normal outfits, as their voice comes out of that person. So in this case, Tyler in Shelby's body has his clothes on and has a short haircut and Ivan is in Riley's body, so he is wearing his knight clothes. Damon is standing beside them, as one of the three rangers not swapped by Strickler. Shelby in Tyler's body comes out wearing her normal clothes and exclaims, "None of my clothes fit. This is the worst thing ever." Tyler tries to assure her by saying, "Mine are a little loose, but hey, I really don't mind." Kendall says, "Don't worry Shelby, we'll find a way to fix this, I think." Shelby was not thrilled with her response. The other Rangers are also adapting to their normal actions, in each other's bodies - Chase (as Koda) is riding his skateboard, Koda (as Chase) is sitting at a table, eating his Bronto Burger meal, he says to the skateboarder, "Look at me go Chase. Whoo!" Chase in his prehistoric friend's body says, "Whoa, slow down there mate, I worked hard to get that body." Riley, in Ivan's body comes into the base and says, "Hey guys, I was taking out the trash and I found this." He's holding the Knight of Zandar painting that Zach made, now with a paper bag, and pieces of lettuce and tomato and a bun stuck to them. Ivan responds in a non-caring way, "Ah yes Riley, that would be young Zach's work. Quite terrible I say."
Tyler responds, "The Knight of Zandar on a motorbike, that is awesome!" Everyone except Ivan is enjoying Zach's creativity. Koda replies, "He talented. Like cave drawing, but much better.", as he takes the tomato slice off the painting, but Chase stops him. Riley asks, "Then what was it doing in the trash?" The disgruntled knight says, "Can you not see the shadows, the color palette, it's all wrong." Keeper then responds, "Ivan, think for a moment, even if you don't enjoy Zach's artwork, that does not mean it is bad." Ivan replies, "I just want Zach to be a great artist." Zenowing then responds, "Perhaps he already is, you just don't realize it." Damon replies, "You're absolutely right Zenowing, I personally enjoy art and know that everybody has their own opinion on what true art is, maybe you just need to look at in a different view." The knight then says, "You may be right, my friend, now I must go find my Great-Great-blah blah blah grandson. My lady." and he goes off to find Zach, so he can apologize.
Ivan makes his way up to the café, where Zach is just sitting at a table. To keep him from figuring out it was just him in a different body, he takes off his cloak and then walks over to make amends with his descendant, he first says in his distinguished accent, "Ah greetings Sir Zach.", but quickly changes his tone of voice as Riley does not speak like a knight, so he starts again with, "I mean, hey man, mind if I sit here?" And the artist unsure of the swordsman's outfit asks, "What's wrong with your voice?" Trying to pass it off, Ivan says, "Bit of a cold, what troubles you?" Again, not intended to be from his friend, he corrected it to, "What's wrong, dude?" The artist replies with, "It's just that Ivan guy, I can't win with him. I've never had a cousin before, I really hoped the two of us could be friends. It just seems like he hates everything I do." The knight was really shocked from this, he's really glad he wanted to apologize for his beliefs earlier, he was wrong, and now Zach feels like he hates his opinions, he needed to fix this. Ivan then says, "Zach, imagine that you grew up drinking strawberry smoothies, everyday strawberry strawberry strawberry. But one day, someone gives you a lime smoothie. And at first you tried the lime one and thought, 'Ugh this is terrible.', but after a while, you realized that lime isn't so bad, it's just different." Zach then replies, "So my art is lime, but Ivan only like strawberries. Nice story, but Ivan's never gonna like my work." And before he can interject, there is a Red alert on his Dino tracker, so he must leave, but not before he does reassure the artist by saying, "Give him a chance Zach, all he wants is to help you, I'll see you later okay." He takes his cloak and then heads off to battle.
This time in an open field, Strickler, Game-Face and Nightmare are waiting for their rivals, Game-Face says, "Where could those rangers be?" Tyler then says, "How about right here." and out come the seven rangers from the first battle - Koda, Chase, Riley, Shelby, Tyler, Ivan and Damon. Strickler says, "I bet you're ready for Round 2, which will be your last." Shelby says, "That's what you think. Dino-Charger." They all simultaneously say, "Ready! Energize, ha, unleash the power!" and Shelby in Tyler's body appears in the white suit, and the T-rex charge, appears above, changing into the Red ranger, and all the others are in their Ranger outfits. Nightmare says, "Well we switched things up in Round 1, wait til you see Round 2." Ivan in the green outfit says, "Challenge accepted." Damon says, "Yeah let's give these goons a run for their money." Game-Face then says, "Which Ranger is which again?"
And in the other's bodies, the Rangers do their role call, though Damon remained the same, as he wasn't swapped. They go through each of them, "Tyler. Power Ranger red!", "Chase. Power Ranger black!", "Koda. Power Ranger blue!", "Riley. Power Ranger green!", "Shelby. Power ranger pink!", "Ivan. Power Ranger gold!" and Damon. Power Ranger orange!" They all then say, 'Dinosaur might, ready to fight! Power Rangers Dino Super...huh?" and out from the ground, came Nightmare holding the eraser and replies, "Got it figured out, then it's time to switch again."
He turns it and it swaps the bodies of Chase and Ivan, Shelby and Riley this time. The sleep-harboring villian then exclaims, "Whoo! I finished my assignment, professor." Game-Face and Strickler arrive on the opposite side, with the Professor saying, "A plus, now let's wipe them out!" Tyler then says, "Guys, let's use Dino-steel." They all say, "Dino-steel, armor on!" Tyler also says, "He switched our bodies, but we've gotta switch our weapons. Take this." He tosses the Tricera-drill to Shelby, who is in Ivan's body at that moment, she catches it and says, "Great idea Tyler, here you go Ivan." She throws the sword to the knight who is in Koda's body now and says, "Much obliged Shelby, for you sir Koda." and gives the caveman his Stego-shield, who then says, "Chase catch." and throws the Para-chopper to the skateboarder, who is in Riley's body and the swordsman gives the T-Rex smasher to the original red ranger, who says, "Awesome, now let's shear this sheep." and him and Shelby start attacking Nightmare, but he throws away the Tricera-drill and knocks them down, Koda continues fighting Strickler, with Ivan and Damon, using his Giganoto-blaster, both assisting but they are all knocked down. Game-Face then says, "They've changed the game on us." and throws punches to Riley and Chase. Tyler says, "That's right, we've got you now." Nightmare then says, "I'll get you first." and charges towards them again, but a bolt of energy knocks all three of the villians down. It is Zenowing, who shoots his weapon and exclaims, "Unleash the power!", changing to his silver outfit. He uses his wings and charges at Game-Face and knocks him down, then attacks Strickler, who then says, "Wow! He's strong, switch us Nightmare." The sleep-monster says, "Switch away, sir." and he turns the eraser, swapping the bodies of Strickler and Zenowing. The dark professor said in the intergalactic bird's body, "The Titano power is mine." The bird said in Strickler's body, "What?" Tyler then says, "They swapped bodies." Strickler then knocks Zenowing down and the other rangers go against them again, doing a somersault over. Tyler then says, "You creeps are gonna pay for that." Damon said, "Exactly, you mess with one of us, you mess with us all. Giganoto-quake!" and causes the ground to shake. Ivan says to their swapped comrade, "We shall fix this, Zenowing." Shelby succeeds in getting the eraser from Nightmare and says, "Gotcha! Now Tyler." The leader then says, "Time to erase this eraser. T-Rex smash!" throwing the eraser into the air, hitting it with the smasher, destroying it, which restores all the bodies. Nightmare responds with, "This is like a bad dream." They all respond happy to have their bodies back. Game-Face then said, "It's Nightmare's fault, Professor." Zenowing then said, "It's time we erased them for good." Nightmare said, "Teach them a lesson, Professor." The skilled intergalactic swordsman then exclaimed while making the formation with his sword, "Gilde prism slash, Titano-saber, final strike!", sending a triangular blast to the professor, ending him for good, him finally exclaiming, "Class cancelled!", destroying him. Game-Face then says, "Professor Strickler, no." Tyler then has chomps his T-Rex smasher to activate his Dino-charger, throws it up to the air and exclaims, "Activate! T-Rex super charge, ready!" They all then say, "Dinosaur might, ready to fight! Combine" The smasher then says, "Dino chargers engage." Tyler then says, "T-Rex Super Charge Victory Maximum, final strike!" aimed at both of the villianous monsters, destroying them as well. And they all cheer in success. However, on Sledge's ship, Arcanon sees this on cameras, and says, "You may have defeated them before, but let's see how you handle this - Magna beam!" and just like that a green ray is shot from space and afterward, all three monsters are revived and as giant creatures, Strickler says, "Fun time is over, Rangers." Nightmare says, "Let's teach them a lesson they'll never forget." Damon said, "Whoa, didn't see this coming." Tyler then says, "Come on guys." They all say together, "Summon zords." The announcer says, "Dino chargers engage." and all of their zords fire blasts at the three giant monsters. Ivan then says, "Activate Dino charge Ultrazord!" Again the announcer says, "Zords combine. Dino Charge Ultrazord, ready!" The knight then says, "Dino charger ready!" "Dino super drive charger, engage!" The Gold ranger stands in the center holding the sword and exclaims, "Dino super drive, activate!" and all seven of them are given the armor with the charger in front, and they all appear on their matching color podium, Damon says, "Wow, this is really cool." Koda says, "Oh it definitely is." Ivan says, "Alright, let's beat these scoundrels." Tyler says, "The terrible three are about to become the terrible zero." The giant Strickler says, "Don't worry I have taught you well." Game-Face says, "Just don't lose your head.", pulling off his basketball head. Strickler and Nightmare run towards them and the professor says, "Get ready." But then with just one hit from the dino-claws, hit Nightmare and knock the other two as well.
Ivan then exclaims with his sword raised, "It's our turn to teach them a lesson." They all say, "Titano-cannon!" And the announcer says, "Open Titano-cannon.", the monsters are very afraid of what can happen next. The knight says, "Dino super drive saber, activate!" "Dino chargers, engage!" Ivan first says, "Dino super drive saber." Everyone says, "Titano-cannon, final strike!" The blast is sent to all three of them and after, they all bow and respond with, "School's out!" and this destroys all three of them, the others all cheer and Ivan responds with, "Monster extinct."
Back in the ship, Arcanon is yelling at Snide for his failed attempt, he screams, "Your plan to switch the rangers' bodies was a complete failure. Splitting you and Heckyl in half better pay off. Or I'll destroy you."
Wrench says, "You were right Lord Arcanon, the split emitters were in the forest. Bully, it would grind the rangers' gears if they knew I got it working again." Arcanon simply responds with, "Begin." The assistant then says, "This might tickle." and activates the machine and with it, two pairs of purple and green lights are emitted on opposite sides of the evil personality monster, making an X shape. Arcanon yells, "It's working, it's working!" as it is slowly seperating both figures. After a bit, it is success and on each side are Snide and Heckyl. Afterwards, the now-solo evil creature Snide exclaims, "Seize Heckyl." And while being held by the vivix, the human personality replies in anger, "You villainous scumbag traitor!" Snide then cackles and says, "You are nothing without me!" Heckyl then replies with, "You will all pay!" and is finally dragged off to a cell. Snide responds with, "Enjoy solitary!" and he and Arcanon stand solemly, as it fades back to the Dino Café.
The scene is alright inside the café, Riley is serving their order to a customer. Tyler then walks over to Shelby and asks her, "So is it good to fit in your own clothes again?" The pink ranger angrily replies with, "Are you kidding? It's all stretched out! Those monsters owe me a new hoodie!" and storms off in a huff." Ivan then walks in with a painting and goes over to a table that Zach is sitting at. He says to his descendant, "Thank you for agreeing to meet me, cousin. I owe you an apology, you truly have talent. And I see that now." Zach turns it over, removes the plastic cover and sees his Knight of Zandar paiting, all cleaned up. The artist says, "But I threw this in the trash." The knight replies with, "Fine art does not belong in the trash." Koda then comes in with a tray containing two lime smoothies and says, "Here's lime smoothies you order Ivan." The knight replies with, "Thank you Koda." and hands one of them to Zach, who responds with, "Aw, lime's my favorite." Ivan replies with, "I thought lime would be something new I'd like to try.", so the two do cheers with their cups and Ivan takes a sip of the green smoothie, he seems to enjoy it, but then he yells in mild pain. Zach asks him, "Uh, what's wrong now?" The knight replies with, "My head..it feels like ice." Riley responds with, "I think Ivan's got a..." and all the others say, "Brain freeze!" Damon chuckles and says, "Oh, that's rough man." Though he'll be suffering for a bit waiting for it to subside, he does give a small smile meaning he probably did enjoy it.
Well there you have it, after 2 parts, the first tweaked episode of the "Dino Charge with a Twist" series is completed. It was long and took some work, but now it is done and next time, we'll begin the next episode. Also, once again, sorry for the long wait everyone, I got busy with other projects and this ended up on the back burner. So anyway, until we begin Chapter 5, this is TechMaster, signing off!
