A sudden change at band practice sends them down a new path- escaping Possum Springs through music! "We're finally getting out, Casey. And you're coming with."

Ethan Mitchell isn't your average 17 year old runaway. His only sole reason to leave was to get away from the former life he referred to as "Hell". He ends up in the lesser known town titled Possum Springs, where he soon finds himself making an unlikely bunch of friends who may just be the key to help him thrive as he struggles to live in a town where he is the only human resident.

Unsure of his surroundings, and if he belongs in this world, he attends high school with fellow classmates Gregg, Casey, Mae, Bea, and Angus. Though every once in a while people discuss a random person named 'Queen Alicorn', whom he doesn't seem to like. Weirdo...

For Mae life has been an endless foray of ups, downs, depression, and misdemeanors. Always teetering on the edge over the void. Now, faced with the prospect of death at the bottom of a collapsed elevator shaft, she must face these feelings or be swallowed whole.

When another former Possum Spring resident returns, its only a matter of time before the Writer's neurotic behavior gets the attention of the rest of the townsfolk. Especially when Mae notices a few...weird similarities to the story he wrote and recent events in the town.

Gregg and Angus have dinner together in their apartment.

It's been a month since their encounter with the murder-cult. Mae has begun to come to terms with herself, but as time passes she watches her best friend, Bea, slowly fall to pieces. She want's to help her, but she's still trying to fix herself. Can she find a way to help or will worse come to pass?

She's right in front of what should be where her old house stood, but all the homes here are so similar it's hard to really know. [Sort-of angsty future 'fic pentadrabble]

But at the same time, Bea starts to grow feelings for Mae, which leads Mae to make hard choices that could either make or break her current relations. It's all in the cards to decide if Mae has a flush, or junk.

Mae is coming to the realization that her friends are moving forward while she's been stuck in the past. In order to catch up, she needs to grow, they aren't kids anymore, and life waits for no one. Along the road, there will be many surprises in store for our characters, and not always good ones. Anything can happen in this Night in the Woods adventure!
