To those of you who've read this story. For some reason this chapter went haywire and got erased. I tried to remember the best I could. This is what I came up with.

Sharon sighed as she took off her heels. It had been a long couple of days. She was both emotionally and physically drained.

Andy was angry with her for investigating him with out his knowledge. Then she'd worked tirelessly with Major Crimes to prove him innocent.

Sharon could still hear him yelling at her as she dressed for bed. The raw distrust in his eyes. The hurt.

Sharon tried to go to sleep but she tossed and turned. This thing with Andy needed to be settled.

Sharon climbed out of bed and pulled her coat on over her night gown. Grabbed her purse and key and was out the door.

Andy set down in his chair trying to get as comfortable as possible with his injuries. His bed was out of the question. If he did lay down he wouldn't be able to get back up.

He pulled the lever to recline back and closed his eyes. All he could see was the hurt face of Sharon Raydor.

He'd yelled at her. Accused her of things he knew she couldn't control. He knew he wasn't going to get any sleep until he resolved this.

Andy put the recliner back down and stood. He didn't bother with a jacket. It had been hell getting it off earlier and there was no way he was getting it back on.

Andy opened the door and came face to face with Sharon Raydor.

"I'm sorry." They both said at the same time.

"I'm sorry." Andy cupped her face with his good hand. He wanted to hold her. "You were doing your job."

"I didn't get the call until I was walking out of the hospital." She sighed. "I should have given you a heads up."

"You would have been breaking the rules." Andy shook his head. "You would have risked your job. You shouldn't have to do that."

"So now what?" Sharon asked.

"I think this just proves what we already knew." He pressed his forehead against hers. "This won't work as long as your in IA."

"I'm sorry." She whispered.

"Don't be." Andy kissed her cheek. "I knew what I was getting into the first time I kissed you. Seems like a life time ago."

"Yeah," Sharon half laughed. "So long ago. Maybe we should just be friends."

"I think that's for the best." Andy agreed.

Sharon took a step back and held out her hand.

"Friends?"

"Friends." Andy shook her hand.

"Goodnight, Andy." Sharon gave him a sad smile.

"Goodnight, Sharon." Andy returned her smile and made sure she was back in her car before he closed the door.
