Andy watched Sharon's day go from bad to worse. Not only did she miss her flight, but she wouldn't get another one until The next morning. She was going to miss Christmas morning with her kids and parents.
He'd set her between himself and Provenza at dinner. The whole time he'd tried to get her to laugh. Even Provenza tried to lighten her mood, but there was still an underlying sadness.
Andy thought about his own situation just as his phone started ringing.
"Lieutenant Flynn." Andy answered as he watched Sharon help Willie Ray clean up the dinner left overs.
"That's the greeting I get?" Sandra asked. "And here I was calling to be kind."
"Sandra, sorry. I didn't look to see who was calling just answered." Andy explained. "Again I'm sorry I couldn't make it earlier. We had to get this kid in a home for Christmas."
"Yes, I know. Jack Raydor's wife called and explained how you had been key to solving the case. She asked that in the spirit of Christmas, I give you another chance to see your kids."
"Sharon called you?" Andy frowned looking at the woman in question.
"Sharon? First name bases are we? You two a couple?"
"No." He frowned.
"You know I've always liked her. I wouldn't mind it if you were."
"We're just friends." Andy smiled.
"Hmm, so you've tried and she shut you down?"
"Something like that." Andy chuckled.
"Well she call on your behalf. She seems to think you've changed. So how about breakfast tomorrow morning with the kids?"
"I'll be there." Andy said trying to hide his excitement. "Thank at you so much, Sandra."
"This is your last chance." She warned.
"I know." He assured her. "Thank you."
"I'll see you tomorrow." Sandra said before hanging up.
Andy put his phone in his pocket and went to Sharon.
"Captain Raydor," Andy walked to the sink where she was doing dishes. "Chief Johnson asked if I'd take you home on my way. So just let me know when you're ready."
"Go on ahead, Sharon." Willie Ray insisted. "Brenda Leigh can help me finish up."
"Thank you, Willie Ray." Sharon gave the older woman a hug. "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas." Willie Ray waved goodbye.
"I have to grab my luggage." Sharon patted his arm with a smile. "I'll meet you at the elevator?"
"I'll be there." He returned her smile. He grabbed his jacket and headed to the elevators.
"Chief Johnson didn't ask you to take me home did she?" Sharon asked when she came to stand by him at the elevators.
"No." Andy shook his head his hand brushed against hers. "I wanted to talk to you."
"About?" Sharon asked as the elevator opened.
"You called Sandra." Andy took her luggage for her and they stepped into the elevator.
"I did." Sharon nodded. "I just explained to her that she should be more grateful to have you as her children's father. You've come a long way."
"Thank you." Andy wanted to tell her she'd been the motivation in the beginning, but decided not to.
"She asked me if we were sleeping together." Sharon smirked.
"What did you tell her?" Andy asked with a smile of his own.
"I told her we were just friends." Sharon shrugged as the elevator stopped and they stepped out. "She seemed disappointed."
"She likes you." Andy bumped her shoulder with his walking to his car.
"I like her too." Sharon admitted. Andy wondered how many nights Sharon had called Sandra or Sandra had called Sharon looking for their husbands. He knew they had spent hours on the phone trying to help one another through the tough times He and Jack had put them through. "You did her wrong."
"Yeah." Andy admitted. "I did."
They talked about the kids and work on the way to her condo. The closer they got the less he wanted to get there. Then when it came to turn onto her road he went straight.
"Andy, that was my turn." Sharon frowned.
"I don't want you to spend the night alone." He reached across the console and took her hand into his. "I want you to spend the night with me."
"I've spent many nights alone, Andy." Sharon rolled her eyes.
"But when is the last time you spent Christmas night alone?" He asked.
"I've never spent Christmas night alone." She sighed looking out the window.
Andy could see her reflection in the window. Her face full of sadness.
He turned onto his road and into his drive way he put it in park.
"Sharon, I'm offering a bed and a hot shower." Andy said turning to her. "I'm not going to pressure you into something you don't want to do. I'll take you home if you don't think you'll be comfortable here."
"I'll stay." Sharon sighed.
"Okay." Andy kissed her hand and got out of the car.
"This is the guest room." Andy said giving her the tour of his house. "The bathroom is across the hall and my room is right next door."
"Okay." Sharon looked around at the Dodger memorabilia. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." He placed her suit case on the bed. "There's towels in the cabinet in the bathroom if you want to shower."
"I think I might." Sharon nodded. Her muscles aches from running around the past few days trying to get out of LA. "You don't want to take a shower first."
"I have a master bath in my room." He shrugged stepping out of the room.
Sharon opened her suitcase and pulled out a set of pajamas. She picked a pair of peach colored shorts and a matching button up short sleeved shirt.
Sharon's father always kept the cabin so hot she had to wear so thing cooler to sleep in at night.
Sharon showered, brushed her hair, and dressed. She was coming out of the bathroom when she heard Andy in the kitchen.
She went to ask about a bottle of water when she saw him leaned against the counter reading a newspaper. He was wearing a tank top and pajama pants. His hair was still damp from his shower.
"Feel better?" Andy asked putting the newspaper down when he saw her walk in.
"I do." Sharon nodded. "I was just wondering if I could have a bottle of water for my bed side table?"
"Sure." Andy opened the refrigerator and pulled her out a bottle. From the looks of it that was all he had in there.
"Thank you." Sharon took the bottle from him.
"You're welcome." Andy nodded. "Have a goodnight."
"You too." Sharon flashed him a smile then went back to the guest room.
She tossed and turned. The sheets smelled like him. Every time she closed her eyes he was there. Touching, teasing, and tasting her.
Sharon finally gave up. Her hand slipped into her shorts. They'd agreed to be friends but he didn't have to know she was thinking of him while she touched herself.
Sharon closed her eyes and imagined him there. His mouth on her. His tongue working her clit while his fingers stroked her core.
Sharon covered her mouth when she moaned out loud. She continued to touch herself with him in mind until she finally came with a whimper.
She climbed out of bed and went to the bathroom to clean herself up.
It was pure agony knowing Sharon Raydor was in the next room. She'd smelled so good earlier in the kitchen, it was all he could do not to take her there.
He could imagine popping those little buttons on her shirt open until it fell open and her breast were bare to him. He could tell she wasn't wearing a bra.
Andy felt himself growing hard while he laid in bed. He tried to push his thoughts out of his mind, but then he heard a groan from the other room.
Andy listened so closely he held his breath only breathing when absolutely necessary. Then he heard her whimper and knew what she'd been doing.
Andy's member was rock hard by then. The image of Sharon touching herself in the next room made him want to do the same.
He grabbed some lubricant from his bed side table. He pulled his pants down and put the lubricant on his hand. It wrapped around his member.
Andy closed his eyes and imagined Sharon's mouth wrapped around him. His thumb circled his tip like he imagined her tongue would. Then he began to stroke it imagining Sharon's head bobbing up and down.
His hand worked faster as he got closer. Soon his release came with an embarrassing groan. He hoped she hadn't heard him.
Andy pulled his soiled tank top off and cleaned himself up. He tossed the tank top in the laundry basket.
Andy pulled his pants back up. He closed his eyes and sleep took him.
