Mario and Luigi are sent a treasure map from Princess Peach, who invites them on a fun treasure hunt. However, the quest takes a serious turn after Princess Peach is abducted by Grodus's X-Naut army.

Mario and Luigi's daughters Bubblegum and Clover have to save their parents from the evil Bowser.

After realizing that the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms still don't get along even with the peace treaty that was established, Rosalina, the grand protector of the Cosmos, takes it upon herself to change that. How will she change that, you might ask? By having them play a totally wacky card game, of course!

When the Toads are told that there is temple with lots of treasure, Toad, Toadette and the Toad Brigade embark on a journey to find it and return to Toad Town with the treasure, but Wingo kidnaps Toadette and our 3 heros must get help from the Mario Bros to rescue her, will they be able to find the treasure, rescue Toadette and make it back alive, or will they return empty handed?
