Sorry for the short chapter, but I figured it was better than nothing. Life has been getting in the way of my writing. I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Has anyone noticed the weird coincidence between Gilmore Girls and the Resident? Rory's little sister's name is Georgia but goes by GG. And on the Resident, Conrad's daughter's name is Georgia but goes by GG. I'm sure its a silly coincidence, but still. It struck me as funny.

Rory woke up the following morning to the sound of the buzzer on the front door. Logan rushed back up the stairs with a to-go order and a tray of water, tea, and juice. They had a chance to talk about her upcoming trip to the United States as well as make a plan for the day. They decided to FaceTime Emily later, because of the time difference in the United States.

Logan was extra-quiet which concerned Rory. "Hey, is everything okay?" she asked.

"Yep. I'm still annoyed with myself for that stupid fight we had last night. I'm really sorry," he said as he tore a bite off his bagel.

She gave him a soft smile. "Its okay. Its over. Really." she tried to console him.

"Okay," he sighed. He reached over and caressed her abdomen. "Its still amazing to me."

"What is?" she asked before taking a bite of fruit.

"The fact that there is actually a tiny person in there. I mean, I know about biology and all, but its still completely crazy." He shook his head and took a sip of tea.

"Are you scared?" she asked him shyly. "Because I'm SO scared."

He nodded quickly. "Out of my mind scared. I have no idea how to do this. And a lot has happened in the past week." He reached for her hand and rubbed her knuckles. "And if you see me being quiet or deep in thought, don't worry. Its just a lot to process."

Rory nodded. "I know. Me too. I'm SO happy about everything – please don't think that I'm not – but its just SO much." She lay back against the pillows and sipped her juice. "I'm having a baby, moving to a new country, I have a new job, and…. you."

"Yep. Me." He glanced at her, grinning.

Rory continued, "I wanted to talk to you about Odette." He nodded. "She was nice."

Logan replied, "Yeah, she's nice. That was never the problem."

Rory nodded, "She seemed to be genuinely happy for us. What in the world?"

Logan took another sip of tea. "So, she was never thrilled about this either. We were two friends who were thrown together, and we didn't object as loudly as we should have. But she was happy when I finally had the nerve to call things off."

Rory was thoughtful. "Really? Wow."

Logan nodded. "She knew about you the whole time. She also thought I was stupid to never ask you for more than Vegas." Logan took a bite of his bagel. "She was right."

Rory sipped her juice. "She is SO not what I expected. I think I built her up in my mind as someone cold and horrible, because I hated her because I was SO jealous of her."

Logan groaned, "I know. I get it.…."

"Do you think we'll hear from your mother today, since she is here in London?" Rory asked.

Logan shrugged. "You never know. She never comes here – she's actually never been here. Its not big or fancy enough for her so she pretends this place doesn't exist."

Rory smirked. "Cool." She set her drink on the nightstand and rolled over towards him. She kissed him on the cheek. "Hey, thanks for breakfast. This is fun."

Logan smirked at her. "Anything for my baby momma." Then she hit him with her pillow.

Later in the afternoon, Rory called Emily on Facetime.

"Rory! This is a surprise!" Emily said as she answered.

"Hi, Grandma. How are you?" Rory smiled shyly at Emily.

"I'm great. Its beautiful here. Cold, but beautiful." Emily panned the camera to the beach to share the view.

Rory asked, "Have you had any snow yet?"

Emily shook her head. "Not really. A little dusting, but nothing that accumulated yet. Where are you anyway?"

Rory grinned. "That's what I was calling to tell you. I have some great news to share."

Emily replied, "Well, please share. I love great news!"

Rory took a breath. "Okay, well, I got a job writing for Time Out Magazine, which means I'm moving to London."

Emily responded, "Rory! That's terrific. I'm so happy for you. I'll miss you, but it sounds like a great job."

"Thanks, Grandma. There's more," Rory said.

"More?" Emily asked skeptically.

"Yeah, um…. Logan and I have reconciled," Rory said with a smile.

"Logan Huntzberger?" Rory nodded. "Really?" Emily asked.

Logan was sitting next to Rory, so she panned the camera over to include him. "Hi, Emily," Logan said as he gave her a small wave.

"Logan, I could have sworn I received a 'save-the-date' for your wedding several months ago." Emily squinted at the camera trying to make sense of everything.

Logan nodded and said, "You probably did, but it wasn't right so I called it off." His arm was wrapped around Rory's waist and he rubbed her side.

Emily nodded, "Well, if it wasn't right then its best that you called it off. Happiness is too important." She said it all very simply.

Rory smiled, "Thanks, Grandma. So, we wanted to tell you all of this in person but I'm too excited about everything. We're in London right now, but we're visiting next week. I can't wait to see you in person." Rory reached up to brush her hair from her face and Emily saw her engagement ring.

"Rory Gilmore! Are you engaged?! Is that a ring on your finger?" Emily was incredulous.

Logan replied for her, "Yes, Rory finally agreed to marry me."

Emily gave them both a huge smile. "That's terrific," she said wiping a tear from her eye. "I just wish Richard could have been here to see it. Logan, he thought the world of you, and he would have been SO pleased."

Logan tried to swallow the lump in his throat. "Thank you. That means so much to me. I adored Richard."

Rory sniffled, "Thank you, Grandma. I love you."

Emily replied, "I love you both. And people may give you a certain amount of crap over this. Ignore them! Don't forget that Richard was engaged to someone else when we got together, and we were married over fifty years. We had the best marriage and the best life. I wish the same for the two of you." Emily wiped a tear away and smiled.

Rory was too choked up to speak. Logan finally said, "You always know the perfect thing to say. Thank you, Emily. I appreciate your words more than you realize." Rory just nodded beside him.

Emily continued, "And if Shira gives you any bullshit, just know that its her problem, not yours."

Logan and Rory both raised their eyebrows and exchanged a glance. Emily explained, "Logan, I know she's your mother, but let's be honest. She doesn't like anyone, and I've never forgiven her for being a bitch to my granddaughter."

Logan chuckled, "Fair enough! Neither have I, Emily. Neither have I."

Rory decided to go for broke. "So, Grandma, there IS one more piece of news."

Emily smirked, "Well, hit me with it."

Logan said, "Emily, we're expecting a baby. You're going to be a great grandmother."

Emily couldn't hide her glee. "Oh, that is terrific news! I'm so happy for you both. Wow!"

Rory asked, "Really, Grandma? You're okay with this?"

Emily waived away any concerns. "Of course! You and Logan have been dancing around this for so long. I'm thrilled that you are finally going to be a family."

Logan smiled a wide smile. "Thank you, I appreciate it so much."

Rory asked, "But, I thought you might compare me to Mom's situation."

Emily shook her head. "Absolutely not. Your mother was a child, having a child. You're a 32-year-old woman, marrying the love of your life. You both have jobs, Ivy League educations and you have each other. The two situations don't compare."

Rory smiled. "Thanks, Grandma. You always surprise me and make me feel at ease. Thank you."

Emily said, "Rory, I love you and I'm thrilled for you. You and Logan being together is a long time coming." She wiped another tear and said, "Hey Logan, welcome to the family. I'm thrilled to have you."

Logan was touched, "Emily, I owe you a huge hug. Thank you so much."

Rory said, "Grandma, we want to see you next weekend. I'll call in a few days and make plans, okay?"

Emily nodded. "Perfect. I love you both. Goodbye!"

Logan replied, "I love you too, Emily."

Rory called, "Love you, Grandma. Bye!" and she disconnected the call.

Rory threw her phone on the coffee table and sighed deeply. "Those calls never go how you think they will, do they?"

Logan laughed. "I guess not. I didn't expect her to react that way. And since when does she CURSE? What has happened to Emily Gilmore?"

Rory shrugged. "Not sure, but I guess its better to have her on our side than not. Right?"

"Definitely," he replied.

"That was exhausting. Any chance you feel like a nap?" she asked him.

Logan grinned at her. "To you mean a nap or a NAP?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

She got up to dash to the bed. "Whatever you want…." She said as she pulled off her t-shirt and threw it at him.

The next few days passed quickly. Logan took Rory to the airport himself on Monday. They had trouble saying goodbye. "I'm going to miss you SO much, Ace," Logan said as he held her close.

"I'm going to miss you too, but this isn't the same. I'm going to see you Friday AND this is completely different than the last time. We are together, we know we're going to see each other soon and I'm eventually coming home to you." She tried to convince herself as much as him.

He nodded, "I know, but four days is so long. And I'm still making up for lost time."

She scoffed, "Yeah, but pretty soon you will be completely sick of me. Enjoy your alone time while you have it."

He breathed in the scent of her hair and kissed her on top of her head. "I love you. Be safe and call me when you land, okay?"

"I will." She kissed him deeply. "I love you too. And you really didn't need to send me in the jet."

He shook his head. "I absolutely did. My family travels as safely as possible. You both are my family," he said as his hand grazed her stomach.

"Okay, I have to go." She kissed him again. "Bye."

"Bye, Ace." He was sad to see her go but knew that he would see her in a few days.

She boarded the plane and didn't turn to wave like she planned to. She knew that if she did, she wouldn't leave. She would stay there with Logan – but she promised Lorelai that they would spend some time together.

She made herself comfortable and settled in for the flight with a blanket, a book, and a bottle of water. The seats on the private plane were large, soft, and comfortable. She fell asleep soon and dreamed of her grandmother and grandfather being young and engaged.
