One year after the Rebel flagship was destroyed, the federation wants to shorten the war. So they have recruited a small crew to send a diplomat to convince the Engi to make an alliance with them and destroy the Rebels together. Captian Crolo and his old friend Drozan find an unlikely crewmember; a young Zoltan named Hani must fly through deep space to help win the war.

A Zoltan peace envoy is attacked and captured by a trio of Mantis pirates. One side is individual and pacifistic, the other hivemined and warlike; can something still come out of the wayward mission for nonviolence in the universe?

Three men enter. How many will leave? K for later space and possible hand-to-hand combat.

Years after the destruction of the flagship the Rebellion is on the defensive. However, a new and potential threat awakens on the edge of Engi space; one that is ancient and could be a great asset to the Federation. Or be the harbinger of destruction to all life...
