The Troop took the boy back to the headquarters for some answers.
"So, you said that you created the snark?" Jake asked the boy in confusion.
"Yes, but first an introduction," the boy said. "My name is Zeon, and the reason why the snark didn't work on me is because I'm not really human."
"You're a monster like Cadence?" Kirby asked.
"I'm not a monster either," Zeon said. "I'm a celestial entity."
"Celestial entity?" the four of them said at once.
"You see, celestial entities are actually the very first beings to appear after the big bang created the universe three billion years ago," he explained. "The universe had nothing in it until the celestial entities gave themselves a mission to create everything in this entire universe; they created galaxies, planets, stars, and even life."
"What did you make in this universe?" Hayley asked, like she actually believed him.
"Nothing," Zeon said. "I didn't really agree to what celestial entities were supposed to make, so I was kicked out of your world. But it took a while to have my powers of creation taken away, so I made myself another world, one where I can make anything I want."
"That must be the monster dimension," Jake said.
"That's right," Zeon said. "I placed in forests, deserts, oceans, and even mountain ranges, but I spent so much time creating all those landscapes and the laws of physics in that world that I wouldn't be able to create any life forms in time before my powers disappeared, so I created a lab with the right kind of technology for creating life forms. I even gave myself super intelligence so that I would know exactly how to create them, and my powers were gone right after I gave myself that kind of intelligence."
"Quite a busy guy," Kirby said. "Or being."
"Though if you were kicked out of our world," Hayley said. "Would other celestial entities know that you're here?"
"I'm permanently stuck in human form," Zeon said. "So, they wouldn't recognize me."
"Okay, continue…" Cadence said.
"I planned to get started on creating my life forms right away but just calling them life forms wouldn't really be all that cool," Zeon said. "After much brainstorming, I came up with what to call them, 'Monsters'."
"That's a bit of a coincidence," Jake said.
"I first had to find the right kind of DNA from the right planet in your world. I chose Earth since it has the right kind of life forms that are suitable for monster-creating," Zeon continued. "To get there, I created a machine that generates these little creatures that can tear open a hole through space and time to the human world; they're what you call dimension mites."
"The portals were supposed to open up to any place in your world through the time when the first living organisms appeared on Earth to the 21st century; I then gathered DNA from every kind of plant, animal, and even human in your world through that timeline to create the monsters."
"Even dinosaurs?" Jake asked.
"Especially dinosaurs," Zeon said. "Anyway, after creating them, I kept them in captivity in simulated environments so that they can adapt to the environment and populate so I can eventually release them into the real wild."
"Did you know about this, Cadence?" Hayley asked.
"I was born in your world, so I never heard anything about that," she said. "I don't even think that my parents or anyone from my family knew."
"When did you start doing this?" Kirby asked Zeon.
"For me, it was about a billion years ago," Zeon said.
"A billion years ago," Hayley said with surprise. "It must've taken a while for the monsters to evolve for that long."
"Actually, they don't evolve at all," Zeon said.
"Why?" Jake asked.
"Because I wanted to keep my creations just the way they are, I placed the monster world in an infinite time loop," Zeon explained. "Everything in the monster world stays the same year after year, month after month, week after week, day after day, and night after night. Even the monsters stay the same for so long even when in the human world, though they still go through their life cycles; first they're born and then they die."
"That's quite a story," Kirby said. "I wish that we could learn more about the monster world."
"Maybe we can," Jake said.
"What are you saying?" Hayley asked.
"We can take a trip to learn more about the monster dimension,"
"That's crazy," Hayley said. "The last time we were in the monster dimension, we almost got eaten."
"Don't worry," Zeon said. "I can be your guide, and I even have ways to prevent you from getting destroyed."
"Sounds like a plan to me," Kirby said. "But what would we tell our parents?"
"You can tell them that we're going to take a friendly road trip across the US," Cadence said.
"Care to join us, Mr. Stockley?" Jake asked.
"I would if didn't have plans to take my nephews to Splash Down World on the other side of Lakewood for a few weeks," he said. "And then again, I wouldn't since I wouldn't be able to take running into monsters. I'm an adult and have outgrown my days of hunting monsters."
"Okay," said Jake. "What about our parents? they might try to call us or track us on our phones."
"We'll let Troop Grid take care of that," Mr. Stockley said.
"So, meet me down here at 10:00 am tomorrow so that we can head over to my world," Zeon said. "But leave your portable Troop Grids here since I learned that their unique frequencies could leave a portal open if they're in the monster world."
"I can tell that this is going the be the Lakewood Troop's excellent adventure," Jake said.
