The team stopped for a moment at a cliff near the sea to take a look at some monsters.

"Those monsters look kind of familiar," Kirby said as he took some pictures. "What are they?"

"Those are griffins," Zeon said.

"They don't look a thing like the griffin we've seen before," Jake said. "These ones have blue skin, round beaks, and fin-like ears while the one that Hayley killed had red fur, a long neck, and a crest above its beak."

"You must be talking about a grassland griffin," Zeon said. "These ones are seaside griffins."

"You made different species of griffins?" Hayley asked.

"Yes," Zeon said pulling out a device that showed a hologram of griffins. "The seaside griffin is half beast, half puffin. The grassland griffin is half beast, half hornbill. There's also the desert griffin that's half beast, half vulture, and the darkland griffin that's half beast, half raven. The woodland griffin is half beast, half owl, and then there's the most commonly known mountain griffin that's half beast, half eagle."

"I wonder what those griffins are doing up there," Jake said.

"Let's see," Zeon said.

He pulled out a drone with a camera on it.

The drone flew up to the cliff side where the team could see what's going on the monitor screen.

When the drone got close enough, there was a nest with three griffin chicks in it chirping and screeching at their parents for food or something.

"They look so cute," Hayley said.

Just then, one of the griffin parents noticed the drone, flew straight towards it, and slashed its front paws at it. The drone fell into the sea, and the monitor screen went all fuzzy.

"We better get out of here before they decide to attack us," Cadence said.

Once far out over the waves, the ocean breeze blew.

"This feels nice out here," Hayley said. "It kind of reminds me of the seas back in our world."

"Yeah, it smells salty, and it sounds loud with the waves roaring," Jake said.

"Any signs of sea monsters out here?" Kirby asked with his camera ready.

"No, but I think I see another boat far out there," Jake said pointing to what looked like a sailboat.

"That's impossible," Cadence said. "There shouldn't be other humans out here."

The shape changed course and began moving towards the boat.

It got bigger and bigger as it got closer.

They could then see it was yellow with black stripes on its sail, two legs on the sides of its body, and a mouth with sharp teeth.

"That's not a boat," Zeon said. "That's Monster 1,015, a Ship Creature."

"They are monsters that aren't really dangerous or elusive; they just sail around the sea searching for anything they can feed on."

"Their crests on their heads act as the sail, their tails act as rudders, and their legs fill up with a gas that keeps them buoyant on the water surface."

Kirby pulled out his camera and took a single shot of it.

Suddenly, a bunch of brown tentacles grabbed onto the ship creature, and a giant fish-like monster with four fins, a rocky back, and tentacles in front of its mouth surfaced out of the water and pulled the ship creature down.

"What was that?" Jake asked.

"That was Monster 1,018, a Squid Coral Monster," Zeon said. "They mainly spend their time on the ocean floor blending in and feeding on the large amounts of coral in this dimension, but sometimes they would go for ship creatures as an easy meal target."

As they continued through the sea, they came to an area on the open ocean that was calm, and the water was steady with no sea monsters in sight.

"This seems like a good spot to relax," Zeon said. "Plus the engine in this vehicle needs to rest."

"Is anyone up for a swim?" Jake asked.

"You guys go ahead," Cadence said. "I'm going to stay on deck to work on that tan that humans often talk about."

After changing into their swimsuits, Jake, Hayley, and Kirby jumped into the water while Cadence and Zeon stayed on the boat.

The seas were very much like the human world seas, but the water felt warm and cold. A big bubble then rose out of the water.

"What's that?" Jake shouted to Zeon.

"That's another effect to the laws of physics in this dimension," Zeon said. "Large bubbles of water sometimes get carried away into the sky to who knows where."

Unexpectedly, one of the bubbles burst, and water poured down all over Jake.

The others laughed as Jake chocked and coughed.

The three of them continued to swim until something touched Hayley's leg.

"Did one of you kick my leg?" Hayley asked, clearly annoyed.

"We're both far from you, Hayley," Kirby shouted to her.

Something touched her leg again.

"There are monsters here!" she shouted.

They tried to swim back to the boat, but six monsters rose out of the water.

They had the horns of a manta ray, two black eyes, and a mouth with fish lips.

"Don't panic!" Zeon shouted from the boat. "Those are Monster 338, Bishop Fish; they're very friendly."

One of the bishop fish made a click and then a squeak as all six of them circled around Jake, Hayley, and Kirby.

"I think they want to play with us," Kirby said.

"Or I think they want us to ride on their backs," Hayley said.

"Bishop fish do like it when humans ride on them," Zeon said. "I'll go down with you in my mini sub."

"This guy seems to have so much on his hands." Jake whispered to Kirby.

The three of them rode on the backs of the bishop fish while wearing masks and oxygen tanks for them to breath underwater.

The bishop fish were swimming down so fast with their flipper-like arms and their two flipper-like legs.

Zeon was following them in his mini sub while Kirby was taking a couple of shots of the three of them riding on the bishop fish; his camera was in a protective bag to avoid water damage.

They swam deeper and deeper until the light from the sun was gone.

"Why aren't we getting crushed by the hydrostatic pressure of the water as we go deeper?" Hayley asked through her mask.

"Because like the laws of physics in this dimension," Zeon said through a speaker from the sub. "The hydrostatic pressure is a bit different, so you can now down 8,000 feet before getting crushed like a shell."

When it grew completely dark, the tips of the bishop fish's horns began to glow.

They then came to a wall.

"Why is there a wall down here?" Kirby asked.

"The wall fells squishy," Jake said as he touched it.

The wall then began to light up in a rainbow of colors.

Whatever was making the colorful display was humongous.

It turned a head that looked like a hammerhead sharks head with two other eyes on eyestalks and lifted up two jelly like arms.

"Monster 397, a Jelly Grourta," Zeon said. "These monsters are often docile and despite its huge size, they can be quite timid."

The grourta then made a rumbling sound then slowly swam away.

It was so big as it swam that the team almost got kicked by its huge, webbed feet and then its long tail.

The lights on it dimmed down, but another set of lights appeared from behind the team.

They turned to find a big black monster with wing like flippers, two blue glowing eyes, and four glowing feelers on its face.

"Monster 076, a Black Lurker," Zeon said softly. "Everyone stay still and quiet."

The black lurker looked closer at them and opened its mouth to reveal rows of needle-sharp teeth.

It blew bubbles at them and swam over them.

It kept on swimming until the lights lining down its sides were gone.

"Why didn't it try to eat us?" Jake asked.

"The black lurker dwells down in the dark depths of the ocean its whole life that it didn't know what you guys were," Zeon said.

"We better get back to the boat," Hayley said. "It's starting to get spooky down here,"

Zeon attached his mini sub to the bottom of the front of the boat while Jake, Hayley, and Kirby climbed onto the deck.

"What did I miss?" Cadence asked.

"Nothing much," Jake said. "Just had fun riding on the bishop fish and encounter two giant deep-sea monsters,"

"Did you get some shots of those monsters?" Cadence asked.

"It may have been too dark for us to see at first," Kirby said. "But I got some good shots of a jelly grourta and a black lurker thanks to their bioluminescent lights,"

"Thanks for the ride," Hayley said to the bishop fish.

The bishop fish clicked, squeaked, and swam off beneath the water.

Later during the night, everyone was asleep.

When all seemed quiet, a strange and beautiful sound came from outside.

Jake and Kirby woke up and began to walk outside as if they were mesmerized by the sound.

They came close to the edge of the deck about to jump in, but a horn blared, and the lights turned on as they jumped with surprise.

"What happened?" Jake asked shaking his head. "Why are we both out here?"

Before Kirby could say anything, a strange creature jumped onto the boat.

It had the head and body of a human with green scales and two yellow eyes, two big bird wings on its back, two legs with bird talons, and a fish tail.

The monster screeched at them revealing razor sharp teeth in its mouth.

A couple more of them jumped out of the water and slowly crawled towards Jake and Kirby.

Kirby pulled out his camera and took a quick shot.

The flash from the camera blinded the creatures.

"Do you carry your camera everywhere you go?" Jake asked.

"You never know when you're going to need it," Kirby said.

The monsters roared loudly at them and retracted their claws on their webbed hands.

Just then, Zeon came out and blasted the Circutron at them.

The monsters got scared and dove down into the water while most of them flew away before diving into the water.

"What were those things?" Kirby asked Zeon.

"Monster 960, Sirens," he said. "They sing those songs that put humans in a trance and then lures them to their death, so if I hadn't snapped you out of it with the vehicle's horn, you would've been siren chow."

"Why didn't Hayley get caught in a trance?" Jake asked.

"Sirens can only put certain people in a trance with a certain gender," Zeon explained. "Male sirens can only put females in a trance while female sirens put males in a trance."

"So, all those sirens were females," Kirby said.

"You guys better get inside before they come back," Zeon said. "I'll turn on the soundproof mode on the vehicle so that you won't hear the songs again."

Kirby and Jake went inside and fell back to sleep for the night until the next day in the monster dimension.
