Dismas and Alhazred are sent to kill another testament of the Ancestor's crimes. The Ancestor's sins seem to have no end to them. One head gets cut off only for another to replace it. Answers to the eldritch truth only go so far.

When he wakes up in a clean bed in the sanatorium, he finds a pair of flintlocks and a rosary lying on the night stand next to him. Not that he has the slightest idea where he is, or how he got here in first place. As he tries to gather himself, a group of people wearing unfamiliar faces enter the room. They tell him this place is called the Hamlet, and that his own name is Dismas.

One of many scenes I envisioned happening between my various party members during my play through. Originally written for the 750words monthly challenge.

The new Lord of his family's venerable estate must restore the honor of his line and destroy the horrifying abominations set loose by the mad folly of his ancestor. Gathering together a group of unlikely heroes and mercenaries they must delve deep into the dark abyss and battle creatures out of nightmare. The Houndmaster looks for a missing man. The Leper looks for a woman. The Plague Doctor has come down with an unnameable illness. The Jester will do anything for her. These desires and the full Moon pull the heroes towards the cove.

Travelers reflect together on what would possibly drive someone to be desperate enough that they willingly crawl through the most horrid places imaginable.

"The Hamlet gathered the desperate, the humble and the devoted. . Wanderers from all sides, carried by an ill wind, bringing bad news, or a spark of e indigent and the faithful came in numbers, banding together to brave the perils of the journey. The fools who tried to reach the Estate of Malemort on their own were never seen again. Until now, apparently."

Very short story about the middle part of an expedition. I wrote this in a flurry of inspiration a few years ago and never did anything with it. Errors and poor writing abound, but I'm happy with it. It stands on its own and is considered complete.

"Ruin has come." Marcus Dolton had checked and rechecked the letter. He was prepared. Soldiers hired, debts paid, loose ends tied. He was ready to go home... after all these years. From the looks of things its worse than ever. "Grandfather, what have you done?" It doesn't matter. It was his responsibility there was no one else. After all... he wasn't afraid of the dark.

These are the events of the game seen through the eyes of a highwayman, written in the form of a journal.

This is the story of a Hellion who made death itself afraid to take her back. One-shot. Complete.

This is basically a series of diary entries for versions of the heroes in the game which would end up becoming the monsters instead of the bosses we're familiar with.

Greedy, naive, knowing, curious-but never outright evil. They were just unfortunate enough to pick the wrong person to romanticize, to share camaraderie, to inform, and it turned them into servants of the unnamable things. But what if everything shifted just a tiny bit, saving those who would become monsters from their fate, and putting our favorite heroes into the line of fire?

Reynauld comes back from the dead. Or at least, some of him does, and Dismas tries to pick up the pieces.

This work is my attempt to piece together some of the Leper's dialogue into a poem that I could see his character actually writing. In other words, some of the lines are directly copied from his barks in game, and everything else is my attempt at matching his poetic medieval style.

Reclaiming a land twisted with evil isn't a task for the lighthearted. It is a hero's task, and several contenders want to take it on. Join these hopefuls in a collection of short stories/chapters that chronicle their quest against the darkness.

One-Shot. Dismas is looking for redemption or death, whichever comes first. Being hired by some noble to escort them down the Old Road seems like the right start.
