Within the Palace…
The servants and guards were shocked to see the princess marching back in with a little boy, holding her hand.
The boy must have been an urchin by the dirt on his face and the tattered clothes he wore with no shoes. It was surprising to see such a child with a princess and see the heir so angry. Whatever was going on was something not good at all.
"W-where are we going, Princess Jasmine?" Wahid stuttered as he tried his best to catch up, worried about his adoptive dad.
"To speak with Jafar. He'll let your father go and we can have this ugly mess cleared up." Jasmine told the boy.
"Do you think he'll be okay?"
Jasmine did not have time to answer as she spotted the advisor.
"Jafar!" She shouted in rage as Jafar looked a little spooked.
"Oh, princess." He bowed and touched the wall as if to hide something from the Princess, "How may I be of help?"
He then spotted the boy.
"And who is this... child?"
"He is the son of the boy you imprisoned. The guards told me you took him away on your orders!" Jasmine accused as Wahid glared at the bearded man.
"Where's my dad, you crook!" Wahid demanded as he charged at him but was stopped by Jasmine.
"Oh, your father appointed me of keeping Agrabah safe, the boy was a criminal." Jafar smoothly, ignoring the child.
"What was his crime?" Jasmine demanded with her hands on her hips.
"Why, kidnapping the princess of course." He answered her as Wahid looked outraged by that accusation.
"My dad would never!"
"He didn't kidnap me! I ran away!" Jasmine explained as Jafar gasped a little.
"Oh, this is such a great error. I seemed to have misunderstood. If I had known! Oh my." Jafar uttered.
"What are you talking about?" Wahid asked, afraid to do so.
"Sadly, the boy's sentence was already carried out."
"What sentence?"
"Death. By beheading."
In the servants quarter late at night...
Wahid tried to run, to return to the marketplace to find his dad, to not believe the lies of the advisor.
This was just a bad dream. He'll wake up and his dad and Abu will be there! But the Guards were told to have him stay in his room as Jasmine was speaking with her father. The boy was an orphan, and it was all her fault. If she never met Aladdin, if she didn't run away, he would still be here.
The door opened to reveal the Sultan.
"Hello there, Little One." He greeted the boy gently, "You must be the young child my daughter is so fond of."
Wahid sniffed and nodded his head.
"I am so sorry for what happened. There has been a great injustice and it is something I cannot ignore." Sultan.
"What can you do? I'm all alone and my dad is gone!" Wahid cried as he curled into himself.
The sultan then pressed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"Young Wahid, we will not through you out and you do need a family." The sultan began, "We took that from you from an error of judgment, and only we must repay you. You will be adopted as my Grandson and this palace will forever be your home."
Wahid sniffed as he looked at the old man.
"We cannot be the family you lost, but I promise to take good care of you. You will be loved here, and I swear I will speak to my advisor about this." He promised as the boy hugged him.
He can't forgive Jasmine yet, but at least he's not alone. He can have a family and maybe after his life had reached its end, he can see Abu and his dad again.
What he didn't know was that he would see his dad sooner than he thought.
