A few hours later at the Princess's room…
Wahid took a deep breath as he could hear the princess.
He promised his dad he would give her a chance after their date. So, once she came back, Wahid was practicing what to say to her. Once he found the words, he was ready to face her. He still felt anger towards her since she almost got her father killed. If that hermit didn't come in, though to backstab Aladdin, his father would not be here, and Wahid will still be an orphan. She was even a jerk to his father even after coming here. But a promise was a promise, he'll try to get along with her and hopefully, things can smooth over.
"H-hey, Princess?" Wahid began as he kept the words he trying to say in his head.
Jasmine grinned to see the boy and walked toward him. She was in lighter spirits as she knew that the boy, she met at the marketplace was the prince to visit her. Jasmine also figured Wahid realized this too as Aladdin or Ali confirmed this.
"Hello Wahid, I am so happy you're here. I know that things were a little rough between us, but I think we can bury the past behind us and look forward."
Wahid smiled a bit as he was glad to be on the same.
"Yeah, yeah that sounds good. Dad wants me to try to make a bond with you and if you make Dad happy, I'll accept it." Wahid sighed as they shook hands, then Jasmine hugged the boy.
It was a tender moment.
"Jasmine? Wahid?" The Sultan's voice called in a strangely dazed matter.
Wahid and Jasmine looked up, the boy noticed that were was something wrong with his new grandpa, but the princess did not see. There was someone else with the Sultan, someone dangerous.
"Oh father, I had the most wonderful night. I am so happy." Jasmine swooned with a twirl, but the Sultan still remained daze, something was wrong.
"As you should be… I have decided a husband for you and a father for Wahid…" He announced as the boy had a bad feeling.
"What?" The princess questioned.
"You will be marrying Jafar…"
The advisor and his pet were revealed.
"What?!" They both gasped at the news.
"It will be an honor to wed you, my Princess," Jafar smirked as he held her hand.
"Father, no I chose Prince Ali!" Jasmine refused as she tried to reverse her father's decision.
"Prince Ali left." Jafar lied.
"He wouldn't do that!" Wahid snarled at the man.
"He's right Jafar, better get your crystal ball checked." Aladdin appeared, soaking wet and full of rage.
"Ali!" Jasmine grinned as did Wahid, but noticed he was wet too.
"Tell them the truth. You tried to have me killed!" He accused the advisor who look none the intimidated.
"Oh, your majesty, he's obviously lying," Jafar spoke as his snake staff held power over the Sultan.
"Obviously lying…" He uttered as Wahid figured it out.
The staff, that's how he does it!
"Father, what's wrong with you?" Jasmine pleaded.
"I know what's wrong!" Wahid announced, quickly snatching the staff from Jafar's hands, and using all his strength to smash it!
When it was destroyed, the spell was broken.
"Good boy, Wahid." Aladdin praised as he was given the staff by his son then turned to the confused Sultan, "Your Majesty, Jafar has been controlling you with this!"
"W-what? Jafar… You-you loathsome traitor!" The ruler fumed with fury as Jafar stepped away trying to himself out of the mess, he was in.
"Your majesty, I can explain-."
"Guards! Guards!"
It was not too long before Jafar was grabbed and arrested but he had one more trick up his sleeve.
"This is not done, yet! Boys!"
He destroyed the vial and released a smokescreen to escape!
At night after the engagement announcement…
His father gave him a hug and Princess Jasmine kissed his forehead before the Sultan came in.
He was bundled up in his big bed with a stuffed elephant and monkey in his bed.
"Even though it is a joyous occasion, we need to be certain that you and Jasmine are safe. So, there will be guards to watch over your door. If you see Jafar, inform them right away. I don't want you to be hurt." The Sultan advised the young boy.
"Okay, Grandpa." Wahid smiled with sleepy eyes.
"Now, get some sleep, you have a big day tomorrow."
"Goodnight, Grandpa."
"Goodnight, Wahid."
Oh yes, tomorrow will be big, for everyone.
