Chapter 13 – Club-Forming Hurdles

It's been 2 weeks since the events of the Volleyball Club and Ikumi-san. And everything's been mildly peaceful so far. Ikumi-san came back to school and kept her promise of joining our club. Bringing our member count to 3.

And due to the numerous support from the student body, Rukia got her Volleyball team back. Minus Ikumi-san, Kinohata-senpai, Inose-senpai, and the three girls who beat up Ikumi-san.

I heard those three got expelled. I hope they can still do well in their futures.

As of right now, we were up on the rooftop attempting to think of ideas for the club. The same stuff as last time, too.

"You two got anything?"

"N-No."

"I am drawing a blank."

And like last time, we were having trouble with it.

"Ugh! Even after all this time, we still can't think of a damn thing for this club! It's so infuriating!"

"Ch-Chinatsu-san, calm down." I said to her. "W-We just need to think a little harder."

"You expect me to think now after being forced to for nearly 7 hours before this point? You're really asking for a lot, Kyouko."

"Y-You really don't like school, huh?" I asked with a sweatdrop.

Starting a club is a lot harder than I originally thought." Ikumi-san said. "There are so many things that we have to set up on our own."

"Y-Yeah, no kidding. E-Especially with the new guidelines we were given."

"Geez. I feel like that damn prez is totally screwing with us." Chinatsu-san said.

"C-Come on, Chinatsu-san. Sh-She's only trying to help."

"I don't remember being flat-out rejected becoming a way to "help" people. Why can't she just give us the damn funds already?"

"Th-There are rules, Chinatsu-san."

"Rules are meant to be broken, Kyouko." Chinatsu-san responded with a smirk on her face.

"*sigh* Th-There's just no convincing you, huh?" I gained a sweatdrop.

As to what these new guidelines are, it happened a few minutes ago after school today.

*EARLIER…*

"Oh. Th-That History test…I-I think I failed it bad."

"Yeah, I had a feeling you did." Chinatsu-san said to me as we were walking out of our classroom. "You were shaking repeatedly and your hands were drenched with sweat. I honestly thought you were going to have a panic attack right then and there."

"*moan* I-I really hate History."

"Hello, Kyouko-chan. Chinatsu-chan."

"H-Hello, Ikumi-san." I greeted her. Ikumi-san's in Class 1-C with, oddly enough, Rukia and Tsu. So, it takes her a while to meet up with us.

"Hey, Ikumi. You're here." Chinatsu-san said. "Now we can all tackle her at once."

"Huh? Tackle who?" We asked.

"Who else? The Student Council Prez. We still need her to make our club official. And hopefully, no distractions will get in our way this time."

"R-Right. I am sorry about before." Ikumi-san said with a sad look.

"Huh? Oh, don't worry about that, Ikumi. I ain't got any hard feelings for someone who got her pussy ravaged by a demented pedophile."

"D-Did you really have to say that?" Ikumi-san and I both gained a huge sweatdrop.

"Eh, whatever. Let's just go already."

"H-Huh? H-Hey…Ch-Chinatsu-san!"

"Please wait for us!" We both then followed after Chinatsu-san after she had suddenly started speeding off to the Student Council room.

When we got there, we saw that it had gotten a new door. And on that new door was a sign posted in big bold letters.

""Please Do Not Kick This Door Down." I think this is targeted towards you, Chinatsu-chan." Ikumi-san said.

"Tch. So what? I got other ways to open this damn door. I'll just give it one good…"

"Oh, there is one more underneath. "Please Do Not Punch This Door Down."."

"Goddamnit! She beat me to it!"

"L-Let's just open it normally, Chinatsu-san." I said before knocking on the door.

"Come in."

"Pl-Please excuse us." I said as the three of us walked inside the room.

"Oh. You three. It's been a while." Chéry-senpai said. It was her and Ohmuro-san in the room as usual. Thankfully, Ohmuro-san wasn't pleasuring herself like last time.

Still can't believe she has that much boldness to do that at school…

"Yo, Prez." Chinatsu-san said. "You got a lot of nerve posting that sing on the door like that."

"I had to, Yoshikawa-san. We just got that door replaced and I don't want it kicked down again."

"Although, I added the Don't Punch sign." Ohmuro-san added. "Just an extra precaution to make sure nothing interrupts my masturbation! Hahahaha!"

"I keep telling you to go freaking home if you want to do that kind of stuff." Chéry-senpai gained an annoyed sweatdrop.

"It's good to see Sakurako-chan as her normal self once more." Ikumi-san whispered to Chinatsu-san and I.

"Define "normal"." We both replied.

"Anyway…I'm pretty sure why you three are here. It's about your club, right?" Chéry-senpai asked.

"Y-Yes." I said. "W-We were hoping if we can get it approved this time."

"Well, that depends. Do you have an advisor?"

"Y-Yes. I-It's Azuma-sensei."

"Okay…do you have a place to meet up?"

"Yeah, it's that room in the practice building that hosted a shit ton of orgy sex parties." Chinatsu-san said.

"Wh-What?"

"Woah! Orgy sex parties?! Damn, I wish I was a student here earlier!" Ohmuro-san cheered in excitement.

"Sakurako-chan…" Ikumi-san gained a sweatdrop.

"Wh-Whatever." Chéry-senpai continued. "List of members."

"M-Myself, Ikumi-san, and China…Mmmf?!"

"Hey, take it easy with using my first name, will you?" Chinatsu-san said as she had quickly covered my mouth. "Not that many people actually know it and I want it to stay that way."

I guess she's still embarrassed about it…

"M-Myself, Ikumi-san, and…Y-Yoshikawa-san."

"What was that just now?" Ohmuro-san asked.

"N-Nothing, damnit. Mind your own business." Chinatsu-san retorted.

"Sheesh. Pushy."

"Wait, it's just the three of you?" Chéry-senpai asked.

"Y-Yes. Wh-Why, is that a problem?"

"In order to form a club, one must have at least five members in their group. That's one of the rules."

"What?! Five members?!" The three of us yelled in shock.

"You seriously didn't know that?" Ohmuro-san said. "That's like just as common sense as what underwear you put on today."

"Sakurako-chan, you don't wear underwear." Ikumi-san said.

Wait, what?!

"Oh, yeah." Was all she said.

"Are you freaking kidding me?! How the hell are we supposed to get two more people to join our club?!" Chinatsu-san yelled.

"I don't know. Ask around. What about Mayu-san and Eri-san? You three know them, right?"

"I had asked them when I was released from the hospital." Ikumi-san said. "They both said they want to focus on college entrance exams at the moment."

"Huh. Well, that's shocking. Coming from those two."

Yeah, no kidding.

"So, until you can get two more members…as well, as a name, an objective, and among other things…I'm afraid your request for a club will have to be rejected."

"Ugh! Great! Just great! Thanks for fucking nothing, you useless president!" Chinatsu-san yelled in anger before storming out of the Student Council room in a fit of rage.

Body slamming the door down in the process.

"Aw, Goddamnit! Not again!" Chéry-senpai complained.

"S…Sorry about the door." Ikumi-san and I said before leaving to catch up with Chinatsu-san. Before she breaks even more stuff with her temper riled up.

She sure does get angry rather quick…

*PRESENT TIME*

"*sigh* Whatever. I don't want to think about that damn prez right now. I'm still in pain from body slamming that door down."

"Y-You really got to stop knocking doors down, Chinatsu-san." I said to her with a sweatdrop.

"You know. I have been meaning to ask…what made the two of you want to start a club in the first place?" Ikumi-san asked.

"It wasn't planned, really." Chinatsu-san said. "I made a deal with Azuma that if I find Kyouko a club for her to join then I can skip going to one myself."

"Th-That is an odd deal…" Ikumi-san gained a sweatdrop.

"Anyway. After wasting our time going through all the clubs, we were outside the building walking around when Kyouko stepped on an old key buried in the ground for some reason."

"M-My foot still hurts from that day…" I whined.

"We took that key all over the school and ended up in front of that old abandoned room in the back of the Practice Building." Chinatsu-san then went silent. Knowing this story well, what's next is something neither one of us had brought up since it happened.

And for a pretty good reason, too.

"*sigh* It was then that…I confessed to Kyouko that I knew about her past."

"Huh? How did you know?" Ikumi-san asked.

"Truth is, I stole her file with intent to use it against her. You know…l-like a bully."

"A-A bully? You were going to bully Kyouko-chan, Chinatsu-chan?"

"L-Look, I admit. It was pretty scummy of me to even think about. But, honestly…my heart and mind are filled with as much hatred as Kyouko's right now. As in…I've been through similar situations as the two of you."

"Really? As in what?"

"I…I don't want to talk about it. Just thinking about it makes me boil in anger."

"I-Is it truly that bad?" I asked.

"Kyouko…Ikumi…you know how you both said that you can never escape your nightmare-ish past no matter how hard you try? How it forever haunts you traumatized mind?"

"Yeah…" We both answered.

"Well…you can say that it explains my current personality. How I'm a total bitch to pretty much everyone around me. And how I'm hated all across this goddamn school. *sigh* Fucking sucks…"

"Ch-Chinatsu-san…" I started to worry about her.

"Hey…I'm gonna head home. I'm not in the damn mood to be thinking about this club crap. I'll see you two tomorrow. I guess."

"Uh…o-okay."

Neither I or Ikumi-san tried to stop Chinatsu-san as she got up, grabbed her schoolbag, and left the school rooftop without saying much of anything. Once she was gone, though, the two of us looked at each other with sad worried looks on our faces.

"Do you think Chinatsu-chan will be okay?" Ikumi-san asked.

"I-I…I-I'm not sure…I-Ikumi-san." I replied.

With nothing left to do and with huge concern for Chinatsu-san, we both decided to stop ourselves and head home as well. As we were walking, we tried to get in contact with Chinatsu-chan.

But…

"*sigh* Sh-She's not answering my calls."

"The same with me as well." Ikumi-san said as she tried on her phone.

"I-I've never seen Chinatsu-san this sad before. N-Normally, it's her being angry, annoyed, or rather smug to a lot of people. M-Mostly the third one."

"I feel really bad for this. Maybe I should not have asked how you two started the club."

"I-It's not your fault, Ikumi-san. Fr-From what Azuma-sensei said, the two of us have a lot in common than I thought."

"What does she mean by that?"

"W-Well…" To be honest, I wasn't really sure. All I really know is that Chinatsu-san had a past that was just as horrible as mine. To the extent of what that actually entails…I have no idea.

And it's not like I can ask someone else. She doesn't have many friends and most of the school completely hates her. Finding someone who won't talk mean stuff about her would be highly impossible.

"Toshinio-san."

"H-Huh?" I panicked a little when I heard my name being called. Then saw who it was and grew rather happy. "O-Oh. S-Sugiura-san."

"Hello, Sugiura-san." Ikumi-san greeted the purple-haired girl.

"I-It's been a while since we last saw each other."

"Yeah, it has." Sugiura-san said. "With your cousin getting the team back and my leg feeling better, I've been rather busy at practice. After all, we are making up for the six members we lost."

"I am truly sorry for quitting the team." Ikumi-san said. "With what I went through, it would be rather difficult for me to keep playing."

"Don't feel too bad about it, Morino-san. We all completely understand. And besides, now we won't have to listen to you, Kinohata-senpai, and Inose-senpai talking about how your pussies are so wet or how finger fucking in the shower feels so damn amazing."

"Pl-Please forget about that stuff!" Ikumi-san yelled with a huge blush on her face.

"Fine, fine." Sugiura-san said with a few giggles. "So, what are you two doing around here by yourselves? Why isn't that delinquent Yoshikawa with you?"

"Ch-China…I-I mean Yoshikawa-san went home. She wasn't in a good mood." I said with a sad look.

"Normally, I wouldn't bother asking considering that girl is never in a good mood. But you seem bothered by the fact, huh?"

"Y-Yeah. K-Kinda."

"*sigh* That girl…still making people around her sad and worried."

"Still?" Ikumi-san and I asked.

"Oh, right. I'm not sure if she told you or not, but Yoshikawa and I went to the same middle school together. And from the looks of things, she still hasn't changed." Sugiura-san whispered that last part to herself.

"Wow…"

Wait…didn't Chinatsu-san say the same thing before? How she knew Sugiura-san back in middle school? If that's the case, then…

"U-Uh…S-Sugiura-san. A-Are you…b-busy right now?" I asked.

"Uh…no, not really. Practice ended about an hour ago and I was heading over to get something to eat. Why?"

"W-Well…s-since you and Yoshikawa-san knew each other in middle school, maybe you can…t-tell us what it was like."

"Oh, I get it. You want to know about Yoshikawa's past, right?" Sugiura-san asked after a moment's silence.

"Y-You saw right through me, huh?"

"I can sense a caring friend when I need to. You're worried about her and want to help her in some way."

"W-Well…"

"Please, Sugiura-san." Ikumi-san said. "If you know anything at all, it would help greatly. Yoshikawa-san in that state of mood is rather…"

"Yeah, I know. While I can't say I know everything about her past, I do know a solid chunk of it. I could help out and tell you girls. After all, you two really do seem to care about her."

"O-Of course." I said.

"We are her friends." Ikumi-san added.

"Friends…" Sugiura-san went silent again. "If only she had made up with her in time…"

"Huh?" We asked.

"O-Oh, nothing. Come on, I'll take you to the restaurant I was going to. You'll have to pay for your own food, though."

"Okay."

We then followed Sugiura-san to the restaurant to learn more of Chinatsu-san's past. What it was like and how it truly changed her. The multiple possibilities were swarming my mind like a beehive. As I was about to learn the no doubt dark history of the first friend I've made in a long time.

I truly hope I can handle it all…

Author's Note: The story returns with club-preventing antics and a sudden change in mood from Chinatsu. And now Kyouko and Ikumi are finally going to learn what happened to her in her past. From Ayano, of all people. How will this go? Find out in the next chapter.

So, have you ever thought that the Yuru Yuri series was dead at this point? Well, I did. And for a while, too. That's until I looked at the wiki and saw that there are STILL stories being made. One's a direct sequel with different characters. One's a prequel starring the four teachers of Nanamori in their high school days. And then there's one coming soon that's going to be based on That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (an anime that I haven't watched yet but always wanted to). Of all things.

It's funny to me that so many stories are being made right now…but Reset! is still on hiatus. That's actually the one I really to read, honestly.

Anyway…Thanks for reading. Later.
