Kelly and Andy were silent. Pete was asking them about Ryan. The question seemed almost too personal considering the circumstances. Erin cleared her throat. Then, she looked over at Pete,
"Pete, you shouldn't ask that.", mouthed Erin as she shook her head.
Pete didn't said anything back to Erin. Silence wrapped itself around the room. Then, Kelly and Andy finally spoke quickly and almost together.
"He left with his ex-girlfriend, but, I don't need him. He doesn't know about me being pregnant and that's okay. I have Andy.",proclaimed Kelly.
Erin and Pete's eyes widened in shock about Kelly's mature response.
"Wow Kelly! I'm impressed and you're right. You don't need him.",nodded Pete.
"Good for you, Kelly.",said Erin.
Kelly smiled with delight. Andy, also, started smiling around the same time as Kelly. That was when Kelly starts touching her still flat stomach.
"I can't wait to be your mother, little one.",whispered Kelly to her stomach.
