DDLC: Our Time

Chapter 13: New Idea

"Heyyy." Alex greeted Monika as he came into the classroom. He was expecting to see the normal classroom, but he was surprised to see that they visions of space out the windows, just like before.

"Alex!" Monika greeted him happily, going right up to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, giving him a hug and a kiss. Alex was further surprised by this enthusiastic greeting; it did kinda break the timeline of the story so far.

Nevertheless, he didn't hesitate to return the gesture.

"Oh, heheh, good to see you too." He said with a chuckle. Monika giggled and smiled up at him.

"Heheh, I'm just glad you're here. I loved that message you left me. That was so nice of you." She acknowledged happily.

"Oh yeah I'm glad you did. I would've felt bad if I didn't say anything, so I just wanted to let you know that I hadn't forgotten you."

"You're always so considerate," Monika said, hugging him again. "Well thank you, I really did appreciate it. But you don't have to worry. I don't mind waiting for you, 'cause I know you'll be here whenever you can." She said to reassure him.

It really was hard sometimes to be away from each other for such a long time, but they definitely got some reassurance from knowing that they would be happy to see each other the next time that they could. She certainly trusted him in that regard.

"Thank you for being so patient with me." Alex said.

"Of course! You look really tired." She observed, noting dark circles around his eyes.

"I am tired." He replied with a little chuckle.

"How are things?"

"Very, very busy. I'm pretty sure I've announced this already, but I'm working full-time, and they have me going to college at the same time, so it's a lot of schooling and homework and information." He explained with a chuckle.

"Aww just like school here." Monika giggled at this comparison.

"I wish it was like school here." Alex joked and groaned.

"Aww, I understand. Just don't push yourself too hard, okay? Be sure to get plenty of rest, and take breaks as needed." She recommended. Alex chuckled a little at this.

"This one of your writing tips?" He asked, teasing her.

"Ahaha, sorry. I just wanna make sure you're okay." She said with a smile.

"I know, just teasing," Alex chuckled. "I appreciate the concern. I really do." He said sincerely. Monika smiled and nodded then sighed.

"I just wish I could be there...to do more. But I'm just kinda stuck, you know? But I'm still trying my best." She expressed her thoughts.

"Yeah I know. That actually kinda has something to do with what I wanted to talk to you. I told you that I had a proposition for you." He brought up.

"Oh yeah, right! What is it?" She asked curiously.

"Okay, so, uh, you know how we have this story? Where I come into you game and spend time with you and your friends?"

"Yesss." She answered with a little giggle.

"Well, I was thinking what if we also did the reverse? You come into my world and spend time with me and potentially my friends?" He suggested. Monika gasped at this.

"Really?! I would love that!" She exclaimed right away.

"I thought you would," He said with a chuckle. "I do want to make it it's own separate thing though, so we can take a more realistic approach to it. I wanna treat it more like an actual story, so there'll be character beats and ups and downs, all that good real life stuff." He explained with a wave of his hand.

"I see. Heheh, as long as I get to be free and I don't have to go back in the end." She said.

"Oh yeah, no, when you're out you'll be out out. I don't know how I'm gonna set up for you escaping though. I wasn't even planning on covering that part, honestly." Alex said with a chuckle.

"Haha, I wouldn't know how to set that up either. Obviously."

"Yeahhh I was just gonna start from immediately after your escape."

"Ooh, sneaky," Monika giggled. "What will happen after?"

"I don't know yet. It'll mainly just be about you adjusting to the real world and actually getting to be with me, the real me as I actually am." Alex described.

"Aww that sounds perfect." Monika said with a dreamy smile.

"Yeahhh. Just don't be too disappointed when I'm not as good looking or as physically fit as you." Alex joked. Monika placed her hands on his cheeks.

"Alex...I don't care about that. I love you, okay?" She said.

"Yeah...I was just joking, you know." He said with another chuckle.

"Yeah I know, just saying...and besides, I kinda already know what you look like." She admitted with a giggle, blushing afterwards.

"You do? How?"

"You left your social media usernames in the description of your author accounts. It's not that hard to find you when you want to be found." She pointed out with a teasing laugh.

"Haha, yeah, that's true. Then I guess you already know what you're getting yourself into." Alex commented with a chuckle.

"I do. I'm looking forward to that." She said with a smile.

"Whoaaa haha alright I'm cutting the chapter there. This is a family friendly page." Alex said with a laugh. Monika giggled at this.

"You're such a dork. See you again soon?" She asked.

"Yep." He replied with a smile.

"Great. Can't wait...is it alright if I start calling you pet names? Like babe and baby?" She requested.

"When it's just us, of course. I have no problem with that. I just don't wanna mess up the continuity of this story anymore than we already have." Alex said with a laugh.

"Haha yeah, that's true. Deal. Alright. See you next time, babe. Love you." Monika smiled brightly, holding her hands up in the shape of a heart.

"Heheh, love you too, Monika. See you later."
