Hey, guys here is a better in into the mind of Quinn and how Sam and she were with each other. Enjoy and remember I love your predictions these reviews give me life.
The moment Sam left Mercedes, he knew he needed to tell Mercedes the truth. He needed to come clean with both her and Quinn. He still was unsure of what he wanted, but he knew he needed to tell them that he was in this situation. And he needed to let Mercedes see that she was enough. Because she was.
He went right to work when he woke up the next day; he set his emotions in play, then he grabbed his phone calling Quinn; they needed to talk, really needed to speak.
Quinn had been up for two hours when her phone rang; seeing it was Sam, she hit the speaker and went back to her case file. She and Sam had been together all their lives, basically. He was, for all intended purposes, safe and uncomplicated. That is what she needed in her life; her career was busy enough, so Sam being at her side when she needed him was perfect. She loved him for sure and knew that as long as they followed through on their plan for their lives, she was good."
"Hey, Sam, what's going on? Feeling better?" She asked.
"Feeling better? I wasn't sick."
Quinn scoffed. "You asked me to have phone sex with you, Sam; that's just not you. We don't do that kinda thing."
Sam sighed. "Quinn, I love you, but I don't know if I can do this."
Quinn sat up. "Do what?"
"Haven't you ever wondered what would happen if you just…took a step back, did something for yourself?"
"I work, I work out, and I have you and my friends; I am living for myself."
"Well, I am not! I want more, Quinn. I want excitement and fun. I want it all."
"Sam, all this because I won't have phone sex with you?"
"IIt'sall because you won't do anything with me, Quinn! We go on these pre-approved dates. Where we eat, tell lame jokes, and kiss each other goodnight. We make out, but the moment I get handsy, you push me away, like I make you sick. We are Quinn, a 32-year-old virgin's Quinn!"
Quinn sighed silently. "Sam…fine, you want the truth. You remember in college when I went abroad for a year."
"Yeah, we barely spoke, but you said it was good for you."
"Sam, I met someone, and he was adventurous and smart. I laughed and did things…He was my first, and I wanted to tell you, but…."
"You cheated on me?"
"It wasn't cheating…we both agreed to keep an open mind while I was gone, but it was a mistake, as much fun as I had with him. He wasn't you, Sam. it took being with him to make me realize that. To make me realize that my future is with you. And I told myself that we would wait, and so we will wait."
The line was silent, and Quinn frowned, wondering what Sam was thinking. Biff Macintosh was Quinn's first; he was everything that she wanted or felt that she wanted. He begged her to run away with him, but she couldn't. A life without rules it terrified her. So she returned to the states, to Sam, and left the past in the past.
"You cheated on me the entire time you were gone and just decided what was best for us after? Who gave you the right?"
"Sam, it wasn't like that! Look, I know you are mad, and you have every right to be, but please don't leave Sam. I didn't want to tell you… didn't want you to feel this hurt." Sam closed his eyes. "I ummm…"
"Sam, look, I have to go. I need to get to court, but please, can we talk about this more later?"
Sam sighed. "Sure." He said, hanging up. Quinn looked down at her computer and sighed heavily. Picking up the phone, she called her assistant Madison.
"Hello, Ms. Fabray; how can I help you?"
"Clear my schedule for the next few days and get me a flight to Hawaii."
"Yes, ma'am."
Quinn hung up and moved to her room to pack. They needed to talk in person, and he needed to know that she was sorry. She would take some leave and get her relationship back on track.
While the meeting was underway, Sam kept tabs on his plans with Mercedes. He should have been pissed at Quinn. But, while a part of him was upset, another part was ready to see what would happen when he confessed everything to Mercedes.
He sent her a text asking her to be ready at 7.
Looking at the papers Artie handed him, he smiled; happily, they were finally on schedule. With the way things were going, they would end up ahead of schedule.
"Everything looks, good guys. I think we can end this meeting early."
Closing his folder, he stood and turned to leave before someone cleared their throat.
"Dude, are we gonna talk about your cousin?" Jordan, his project manager, said.
"Yeah, that dude is having so much fun while sharing your face. For a moment, we actually thought it was you having a good time. But, you definitely need to loosen up." Rick said.
Sam sighed heavily, shaking his head. He was tired of lying, and since he was going to come clean, he might as well start now.
"Look, I don't have a cousin; Artie was just protecting me. But, I met someone amazing, and I didn't want everyone in my business. And as much as I would love to hear your take on my love life, I have a date to get ready for."
Sam threw up the peace sign and walked out of the meeting. Going to his room, he debated over his outfit for a while. This night was important, and he needed her to see the real him but to also see the change she made in his life. He wanted her to know that he appreciated her for being open, for being here, and so he decided both. He wore his suit, all black with a crisp white shirt. But added a piece of her. A tye-dye tie just for her. He took the liberty to grab some purple lilies and took a deep breath, praying she wouldn't hate him.
He made his way to her door and knocked, chewing his bottom lip as he waited for her to answer. Opening her door, she smiled, taking him in. "Cam…wow, you look amazing…and I feel underdressed." She said, looking down at her Sundress and flip-flops.
"No, you look amazing," Sam said, moving closer to her. "Breathtaking."
She blushed. "So, where are we going, Cam?"
"It's a surprise. But I promise it's worth it."
She nodded. "Okay, well, let's go."
Sam took her hand and led her out of the hotel towards a private cove. He covered her eyes with his hand and led her inside; this was a place that the crew had found and decided they would allow people to rent it. It's right along the beach, and inside was a space for a beautiful picnic beneath a waterfall.
Sam removed his hand from her eyes, and she gasped. "Cam, this is! This is beautiful."
She turned towards him, and Sam frowned. "It's Sam."
"What?"
Sam moved closer and took her hand in his. "You have been nothing but honest to me. And I haven't been with you, but I want you to be. I want you to know all of me."
She pulled her hand away from him. "What are you talking about?"
Sam ran his hands through his hair. "I lied about my name. Everything else is me but that, that is…I want to be honest with you."
She looked at him shaking her head. "Who are you? Why lie?"
"My name is Sam Evans." Her eyes widened as he continued. "That night I met you, you didn't know who I was, and it was nice to have that, to have someone who liked me for me and not for my name or money."
She stared at him with tears in her eyes. "I-." She sighed. "I wouldn't have judged you."
"I know, and that is why I want you to know it all because you won't judge me; you never would. So if you want to walk out of here and never see me again, I will do it. I won't stop you. But if you will let me, explain things. I can."
Mercedes stared at him for a moment, then nodded. "Okay…tell me the truth."
Sam led her to the blanket, helping her to have a seat. He stood, taking a deep breath. "I am Sam Evans, CEO of Evans Resorts and Hotels. I am 32 like I said, and I am as uptight as you called me out for being. This suit is me, I wear suits all the time because I pretty much am the job, but this tie…this is you, the bright spot you have made in my life."
"Was all this a game?" She asked quietly. "Are you really a virgin? Were you just playing the dumb girl?"
"What?" He asked, confused.
"You just used me like Finn did…get what you want from me and move on, right? I told you it's all I am good for."
Sam moved to her and cupped her face in his hands. "No. Never. Baby, I told you, everything I said is true. I am a virgin who never took time off and never did anything for himself. You let me be me, Merce."
She looked down, and Sam lifted her face to his. "The only thing that wasn't true was my name. Everything else was. Ask me anything, and I will be honest with you."
She stared at him for a moment. "Why do you like me? Sam, you own this place, pretty sure that makes you rich, and I am just me."
Sam laughed. "That's exactly why I like you. God Mercedes, you tell it like it is; you are witty and funny, Gorgeous. And I know that you think you are only good for a good time, but I swear to you, you are so much more than that."
Mercedes stared at him for a long while, tears coming to her eyes. "I want to believe you, so damn bad."
Sam closed his eyes. "Please…"
She shook her head. "I cant…I can't let myself be hurt again. Cam or Sam or whoever you are today, you lied to me, used me."
Sam shook his hand. "No, baby, I never used you, and I could kill myself for hurting you."
"I need to go; we both know I wouldn't fit in your world; you are better off without me." She said, moving away from him slowly.
"Tell me you don't care about me. That I was fooling myself into believing that this is something worth having."
She stared at him, fear clouding her mind.
"I am gonna let you see a side of me no one has ever seen."
She looked at him, confused, but he kissed her hand before he grabbed his phone. "Artie was kind enough to get the instrumental for me…."
He pushed play, and she stared at him as he began to sing.
"Say what you say, push me away, fuck my head up, beg me to stay. How could I be better off without you? When I'm not better off without you."
Sam moved closer to her. "Lie that you're done, like you gon' run. Like you don't love, I'm calling your bluff. Say the waters too rough, but I won't leave you when you're sinking."
He pulled her close to him. "You say you're such a mess; I like the mess you make; think you're too hot-headed, you're not that hard to tame. When your puzzled heart missin' a piece or two, that's good enough for me, I love what's left of you."
Mercedes looked down, and Sam lifted her face to his. "Ocean's away, emotionally, running in place, lying awake. You say your past is gonna cut me; yeah, I can take a little beating. You say you're such a mess; I like the mess you make; think you're too hot-headed, you're not too hard to tame. When your puzzled hearts missing a piece or two, that's good enough for me; I love what's left of you."
Sam wiped the tears from her eyes. "You say you're such a mess; I like the mess you make, think you're too hot-headed, you're not too hard to tame. When your puzzled hearts missing a piece or two, that's good enough for me. I love what's left of you. I love what's left of you. I love what's left of you. I love what's left of you. I love what's left of you."
Sam leaned down to the blanket, pulling her down with him. "How can I be better off without you? When I'm not better off without you. No, I'm not better without you, yeah. You say you're such a mess; I like the mess you make. Think you're too hot-headed; you're not that hard to tame. When your puzzled hearts missing a piece or two. That's good enough for me. I love what's left of you. I love what's left of you. I love what's left of you; I love what's left of you. I love what's left of you."
Sam stared at Mercedes, tears in his eyes as he held onto her hand, held onto her. He wiped the tears from her eyes, leaning in and kissing each of her eyelids, before kissing her softly on the lips.
She stared at him. "Sam…"
He looked at her, praying she wasn't going to say those dreaded words and walk out of his life. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him to her and kissing him deeply. Sam was so relieved she kissed him that he could have pumped his fist in the air out of sheer celebration.
"Did you mean that Sam, that you like what's left of me?"
"It's hard not to Mercedes; you have brightened up my life; I can't go back to not knowing you. Even if you leave me here alone, I will forever be better for knowing you."
"This really is a romantic spot. I like the waterfall, the beauty of it all."
Sam nodded. I was hoping we could get a redo."
She raised her eyebrows. "A redo?"
He looks towards the water in the small cove. "Skinny dipping in the moonlight. Me finding you. Telling you who I really am."
She looked down and smiled. "You are lucky I would kill myself for passing up a chance to swim here."
"Damn lucky," Sam said, smiling like he had just won everything.
Mercedes turned away from him and threw her dress off, stepping out of her pink lingerie and into the surprisingly warm waters. Swimming under the waterfall, she popped out of the water, sighing in contentment. This was a beautiful place, and it just calmed her.
Sam watched her swim for a while. Taking in everything she was, everything she meant to him.
After a few minutes, he removed his jacket and shoes and dived into the water.
Mercedes laughed at him shaking her head. "Goof, I figured you would actually get naked."
"I will, but that's not how we met. I swam fully clothed to save you."
She nodded. "You did."
"Who would have thought you would have been the one to start saving me."
She reached for his tie. "It's time to say goodbye to uptight Sam."
He nodded as she untied his tie and then unbuttoned his shirt. He let her peel his clothing off and toss them to the floor of the cove.
Sam moved her hair from her eyes. "You are beautiful."
She leaned in and kissed him. Feeling bold, he pressed her body against his and wrapped her thighs around his waist. Slow, teasing kisses quickly turned into needy, hungry kisses.
"I need you…." Sam moaned as he kissed a trail down her neck.
"Sam…" she whimpered.
He smiled. "I love hearing my name on your lips." He thrust up, grazing her clit with his cock.
"Oh-" She swallowed. "Here? Now?"
Sam nodded, "Here and now."
"But…" She said breathlessly. "I just…thought you wanted it to be special."
Sam smiled, kissing her softly. "Baby, don't you see, it's special because it's with you. I don't care where it happens as long as it happens with you."
"Still, it would probably be better for you if we were on a flat surface first."
Sam smiled. "So, does that mean that you want to deflower me?" He teased.
"I'm thinking about it, not sure you can handle me." She smiled softly.
Sam beamed. "I am sure I can't, but I damn sure would like to try."
Mercedes chewed her bottom lip as she held him close. "Okay…but only if you are sure it's what you want."
"You are what I want." He said, moving her hair from dripping into her eyes. "Come on." He said, swimming her over to the edge of the cove and laughing with her as they moved under the waterfall. For a moment, Mercedes pulled him back, kissing him as the water pelted them. Then Sam tugged her towards the blanket, helping her out, grabbing a towel, and wrapping it around her before holding the other one.
She ran her fingers through her hair, wringing it out. Sam watched her pulling her to him and kissing her desperately, moaning against her lips as she ran her hands through his hair. Sam let his lips travel down her body, reached her breast, sucking on her nipple, causing her knees to go weak.
Tugging her down to the blanket, he pulled out the duffle and basket she missed in the corner and pulled a pillow out.
She smiled, shaking her head. "What all do you have in there?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?"
She nodded. "That's why I asked."
"I didn't want to assume anything, but if something was to happen, I wanted you to be comfortable. So I packed food in the basket, and a pillow, another blanket, and well, condoms," he said with a blush.
"Are you actually blushing?" Mercedes teased.
"I just…you make me feel things I never have, you know? You make me do things like that too."
She leaned in and kissed him softly, pulling him down with her as she lay on the pillow. She tugged off her towel fully, letting his hands roam all over her body. It didn't take long for things to get to the point of no return; Sam had her screaming as two fingers pushed deep inside of where he desperately wanted to be. Kissing a trail down her body, he flicked her clit rapidly, wanting her to fall over the edge so he could finally have what he had been craving.
Mercedes arched up, gripping his hair as she came hard, screaming out his name. And it turned him on to no end to hear her scream Sam and not Cam.
Mercedes pulled Sam up to her, kissing him hungrily. "I need you, baby." She moaned out, wrapping her thighs around his waist.
"I need you too. I want you, please." He practically begged, brushing his shaft against her clit, and she needed it. "Yes! Now! Yes!"
With no hesitation, Sam lined himself up with her, staring into her eyes as he pushed slowly inside of her, savoring the feel of being inside of her. She was so tight, squeezing him just right.
"Fuck! You feel incredible." He groaned.
Mercedes let her head fall back, gripping his back as he pulled out just to shove right back inside of her. The pace started out slowly, even though everything in him wanted to speed up, wanted to just pound inside of her, but he couldn't do that, wouldn't do that to her. Not yet.
His hand reached beneath him, gripping her thigh; he didn't know why; he just wanted something to hold on to.
"Sam! God!" She screamed.
Sam stared at her, thrusting. "Beautiful…so beautiful."
"I need you, Sam, go faster, deeper." She pleaded.
That was all Sam needed to hear; he gripped her tighter and thrust faster, harder. Feeling that build, that need grow inside of him. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"
"Yes! Sam! Sam…oh God! So close." She screamed out. Sam could feel her falling apart. "Cum for me, baby." He cooed, needing her to cum first.
"To-touch my clit." She hissed.
Sam nodded, reaching between them and teasing her clit, moving it faster as he pumped harder. Mercedes tensed cumming, screams coming from her lips, crying out over and over how excellent Sam was. Sam followed her lead, cumming right after her. Moaning out and as he spilled everything he had in her.
It took them both a bit to recover, Sam laying on her chest and Mercedes stroking his hair.
"Tell me a secret, Sam, something no one knows about you?" She asked silently.
"I am dyslexic. No one knows, no even…only my parents and my siblings. It made things hard, but I pushed through it."
Mercedes smiled to herself, running her hands through his hair before smoothing it back down. "Wow…thank you for sharing that with me. I like getting to know you, getting to see sides of you no one does."
"Well, I like sharing with you; in fact, what are you doing tomorrow?"
"Depends; what do you have planned?" She asked.
"We are going to get into my car and just drive. Have one of those adventures that you were talking about."
Mercedes sat up and smiled. "Really?"
He nodded. "Yes. Get ready baby, it's gonna be me, you, and the open road.
Ya'll can't tell me Chord didn't slay on that song, its one of my faves!
