BPOV

I get out of the truck greeted by Edward holding a bouquet of Yellow roses, he didn't forget my favourite flowers… I shake my head "What are you doing here?"

He walks towards me "I want to talk… Please…" I nod once,

"I think I can give you that I think we both need it…" I relinquish, I had to try to let go of the past,

"Will you come with me?" He asks stepping towards me tentatively, I nod "These are for you!" He hands me the flowers

"Thank you, they are lovely, I'm just going to put them in water…" He nods letting me past him and I let myself into the house, What have I agreed to!? I suppose I need it, he probably did to. I put the flowers into a vase and set them on the kitchen table as well as a note to my dad,

"I've gone to meet Edward, I'll be home later Bella x"

I go back out to Edward, "I'm ready… shall I follow you or?" I ask shyly, he shakes his head,

"Come with me, please", He held the passenger door open to his car, I nodded while getting in the car, "I just want to talk, I have a lot of explaining to do…" He looks guilty but I don't want to give in too easily.

The drive is quiet and actually quite awkward, I'm unsure of what to say to break the silence, we don't drive for long before we are back at the forest clearing, we get out of the car silently, and I follow Edward silently, what I see in the meadow makes my breath hitch, right by the memorial is a beautiful picnic set up with a blanket, food and drink.

"Edward, this is beautiful, thank you…" He smiles at me and I swear he blushed a little,

"Please, take a seat, would you like me to get you a drink?" he sits and gets a bottle of fizzy water out, I nod taking a seat next to him, he hands me a glass "How do you want to do this? Shall I just talk or do you want to ask questions?"

I shake my head, "Just talk I'll ask when I need too" I nod at him taking a shaky sip at my drink…

He clears his throat, I can see him writing his hands in his lap,

"I guess it starts years back, my Grandfather Edward Senior, he was born in Ireland, moved here with his father when he was 7 and his father started the Cullen family. Then my grandfather took over at 25, my grandfather didn't have any sons, when my mother married my father and had me and Emmett, it was always going to be one of us who took over. Emmett, he's not very smart or business minded, so it came to me" he paused, "it's not easy and I haven't fully taken over yet, when I do… it will change my life forever and I need you to know before we get back together." I arch an eyebrow at him

"Get back together? Hold up…you have been back two days" I'm angered by his upfrontness,

"Shit sorry, I just I still love you so much, Bella seeing you again it's just shown me how much I adore you… I left and that was the worst thing I did. I will regret that forever, but I will never ever stop repaying you and apologising to you" he explains

"You never said, what is 'The Cullen Family'?" I ask and he sighs heavily,

"This is where your going to hate me… Bella 'The Cullen Family' is the biggest Mob family this side of the US." I feel my eyes bulge out of my head, he carries on talking but I can't hear him,

"Mob…Mob as in mafia?!" My voice barely above a whisper, he nods not saying a word and I jump to my feet, "Does Charlie know? He can't, he's a cop! He'lol arrest you! You hurt people!" I try to scamper away from him as he advances to me,

"Charlie knows Bella. It's okay Baby Girl come here I won't hurt you…" he steps towards me but I shake my head,

"Leave me alone, Charlie wouldn't let this happen!" I shout

He takes a step back, "I will leave you alone for now as that's what you have asked but talk to Charlie, and I will be here Baby girl, I am not giving up on you." He says with a conviction that almost scares me,

I all but run from the clearing and grab my phone from my pocket my hands shaking as I call Rose,

"Rose, Diner now!" I say rushing towards the diner

"Right now Bells? I'm meeting Emmett for dinner tonight!" She says,

"NO! No you can't meet him! I will explain just meet me at the diner!" I say, I'm sure I sounded crazy.

"Bella what's going on?" She sounded concerned, "Are you feeling okay?"

"Diner Rose, I'll be there…" I say hanging up the phone before calling Charlie telling him to meet me too, I'm so busy rushing to the diner I don't notice the black sedan following me the whole way.
