Eclipsa Queen of the Blood Moon

Author's note: this story is based on the concept presented by Reptile edge. Read his Eclipsa Queen of Blood and Darkness fanfic for the better story.
Chapter 7: The Hunter
the windswept mountain whirled and howled as the two cloaked figures climbed to the top.
"Burr, care to tell me why we are going up this mountain countess?" Mina asked the chill creeping up her back.
"queen eclipsa told you the goal of our mission lady mina… she will have her leech." Hekapoo said looking up to see that the two were only half way up the mountain.
"why does it have to be this dingus? He couldn't even beat princess star." Mina was immediately grappled by the throat.
"do not speak the name of the usurpers daugther. She is thief and her death will slow and painful as the queen has decreed… understand!?" Hekapoo's eyes flashed a bright red.
"Yes, my countess." Mina squeeked out.
Hekapoo nodded her head and dropped Mina. "I believe we are high enough to use celerity to surge up the mountain." Hekapoo would love to just fly to the top of the mountain but to use that discpline you'd have to mix protean with celerity which is advanced discpline that mina couldn't do even if she had protean… which she didn't.
"Excellent! Race you to the top." Mina surged forward her body a blur as she whisked up the mountain.
Hekapoo let out a sigh of annoyance. "I do not know what my queen see's in her but I will not question her decision." Hekapoo followed and caught up with mina almost instantly.
The two vampire lady's reached the top of the mountain in a matter of seconds. Mina was breathing heavy.
"I thought I wouldn't get tired anymore? What the heck?" Mina said gasping for breath.
"you didn't conserve your blood pool and you've made yourself hungry… we'll need to get you something to drink after this." Hekapoo said rolling her eyes. Why did she have to carry this new blood… well newer then her.
"okay where is this dweeb?" Mina asked looking around.
"shush, do you hear that?' Hekapoo said her ears picking up the skittering of clawed feet.
"Yeah what is that?" Mina asked oblivious to the shadowed form of a great bird swooping down.
"Look out!" Hekapoo leaped and slammed mina to the ground barely dodging the claws of a great eagle.
"What the heck!" Mina exclaimed looking up.
A shot of web grabbed hekapoo's leg and tried to pull her. "it's him, he has these beasts loyalty." Hekapoo explained scratching at the web.
"I thought they turned against him when he sided with toffee?" Mina said grappling with the eagle as it pecked at her.
"I guess they made up." Hekapoo looked on to a horde of mice rushing from the cave. "I guess I'll have to put them on ice." Hekapoo summoned a cone of cold to freeze the horde whole.
"nice pun countess." Mina said punching the eagle knocking it to the ground. "I guess these beasts ain't so tough when they're fighting vampire royalty." Mina chuckled when a spider jumped on her and bit her neck paralyzing her.
"Idiot! How could you let that thing ambush you." Hekapoo rushed forward with celerity and kicked the spider off the cliff.
"It seems you have gained new abilities since last we meet hekapoo." The voice said from the cave.
"show yourself… ludo." Hekapoo said.
"might as well." the image of ludo came out of the cave looking at them with a blank stare. 'there is nothing I can do to avoid arrest."
"we're not here to arrest you." Hekapoo said looking down at the creature.
"then why are you here?" Ludo asked, tilting his head.
"we wish to offer you immortality and power. All you have to do is work for our queen." Hekapoo replied her eyes flashing a bright red.
"queen moon wishes to employ my service… I find that hard to believe." Ludo said. "look I know you're here to arrest me for my crimes with toffee… I knew you were coming eventually… there is no need to play to my ego… that is too bruised to be useful."
"Queen moon is not my leige anymore….queen eclipsa is and she can use a man with your skill and mastery of beasts?"
"queen who now?" Ludo asked. "the name doesn't ring a bell."
"the bride of count corvid? The king of the castle lochwayren in the forest of certain death? Come on it is monster one-o-one. You have to know this!" Hekapoo exclaimed.
"you mean the count corvid… the vampire king of mewni… that count corvid! I would gladly join his ranks!" Ludo exclaimed. Count corvid was a legend amongst monsters, a hero who stole the princess of mewni and made her one of them. He was a god amongst most of ludo's kind and they all speak of his fateful duel with solaria which cost the queen her right eye and the use of her left leg. He was a legend.
"yes that one… so you'll join us?" Hekapoo asked, glad the ludo knew who she was talking about.
"Of course I'll join you? Wait, you're not gonna turn me into some kinda rank and file minion are you… I want a commander position, preferably second in command."
"I'm afraid that the second in command position is taken… by me. But I wish for you to become the queens leech." Hekapoo said.
"you mean like a pet? Forget it!" He said turning his pack. "good day madame!" he began walking to his cave and was cut off by hekapoo appearing in front of him her red eyes glowing and glaring into his heart and soul.
"listen you little cretin… let me finish my pitch before you start back talking me. You will not be the queens pet or her top commander. You will be the tamer of her beasts and the head of her hunters… you will have power and comfort. But if you wish to act like a bratty child I will let mina drain you… understand!"
Ludo froze and gulped "yes ma'am! I will accept your offer."
"very well. Show me your neck." Hekapoo said.
"Oh okay… this won't hurt will I- here we go!" Ludo felt hekapoo bite his neck and his body began to seize up.
Ludo's went limp and fell to the ground once hekapoo had finished.
"I can't believe I have to do this. But my queen demands it." Hekapoo pricked her finger with my fang and let a drop of her blood. "rise and be entitled Leech." she said.
Ludo awoke from his death like slumber and gasped for breath. "i'm alive… I'm alive!" he exclaimed looking around. "I feel powerful… I feel strong! I feel hungry." He said coughing as he shouted more and more.
"yes, you're now one of us… regretably." hekapoo said.
"so what now?" Ludo asked.
"Now we see how good a hunter you are… time to fly." Hekapoo walked out t see mina finally recover from the poison in her veins as she was stretching her legs and doing a walk in place jog to put feeling back in her legs.
"Uh, how do I fly?" Ludo asked as they reached the edge of the cliff.
"okay new blood here is what you need to do is to focus on modifying your body to be lighter then air, then I want you focus on being quicker then everyone." hekapoo explained jumping off the cliff causing ludo to look down worried.
"is she going to be okay?" Ludo asked.
His question was immediately answered when he hekapoo flew up over his head. "now it's your turn."
Ludo's eyes went wide… he could fly… without eagle… yes please! Ludo jumped off the cliff and went sailing down. "okay time to fly!" he said as he descended. He thought he could fly… he believed he could so… why was he still falling!
Ludo screamed as the ground became clearer. "come on, come on, help me!" he said as he was to hit the ground his eyes became red and he hovered just over the sharp rocks. "i-i did? I did it! Hooray!" Ludo soared up to the top of his mountain in an instant. He did three loops around the mountain.
"Okay, can you stop new blood? We need you to go hunting. Don't be like mina and waste all your blood pool." Hekapoo said rolling her eyes.
"hey! I resent that." Mina exclaimed.
"okay ma'am… where should I feed?"
"where do you want to eat?"
"I know just the place." Ludo said a wicked grin crossing his face.
The little creature zipped across the night sky. Buildings whizzing past as he reached his destination. He was now completely starved as he looked down to see his father picking up a newspaper.
"Hey old man!" Ludo exclaimed shoting down standing in front of his shocked father.
"what the… ludo!? What are you doing here? And how did you get this much magic?" Ludo's father asked backpedaling a bit.
"I serve a powerful master now and they've given me the power to take my revenge." Ludo said moving forward.
"stll a little pawn as always. I knew you never had it in you to be a ruler. That's why I'm glad toffee used you." his father replied.
"And that's why I'm going to enjoy this." Ludo lunged at his father grappled with him.
The old man tried to fight off his pipsquek son but the boy had grown surprisingly stronger. "what happened to you? How can a pipsquek like you take down someone like me. I used to throw you like a lawn dart."
"well those days are over! I'm gonna throw you into the swamp when I'm done." Ludo bit into his fathers neck and drained him dry. Ludo felt his father's pulse grow thin and his body go limb.
"yes! Yes! This feel amazing!" Ludo exclaimed to the air.
"ludo? Big brother? What are you doing?" ludo heard his brother dennis call from the door. "oh my god! Dad!" he screamed running to his father. "Ludo! How could you!? He was out father. Why!?"
"dennis, listen to me. This is something that had to be done. You know he didn't care about us. But I have someone who does. My master can help you and give you a new life. Come with me my brother and we can become immortal, together forever." Ludo said holding out his hand for his brother to take.
Dennis looked at his brother and thought his offer over. "ludo, I love you. I accept your offer." he said taking his brother's hand.
"Great now hold on." Ludo said.
"Hold on for whaaa–" Dennis soared into the sky as he held his brothers hand and they zipped to meet hekapoo and mina at the foot of his cave.
"alright young blood you eat yet… and who is this!?" Hekapoo asked irriatated.
"he's my brother dennis." Ludo said.
"so you brought me someone from your own family to drain. You're alright for a monster ludo." Mina said charging toward dennis who flinched but ludo kicked her into the wall.
"none of that. If I am to join your campaign against mewni I want the same offer for my brother… understand."
Hekapoo let out a sigh. "that will be up to eclipsa… but I don't see a problem with it."
"Hot dog! Let's go dennis I need to pack."
"keep a low profile we have a few more people to recruit before we are ready to plan an attack."
"gotcha boss." Ludo said flying up to the mountains top with dennis.
"what an idiot. Are you sure we need him?" Mina asked.
"If the queen wants him… then I can't argue with her decision. Besides the hardest recruit is yet to come."
"Oh okay, whose next?"
"Heinous and rasticor… the baroness and scourge of our army."
