Chapter 14: the timekeeper

Author's note:

thank you all for being patient. We are almost half way done with this fanfic and I love it so much I am working on another fanfic for this universe. Today has been good and I hope it is good for you all too.

Star and moon entered the domain of the time keeper. It was a vast plain filled with clocks and time bubbles.

"Time keeper! We require your aid." moon called into the void and in the distance on a chatriot comes the seven foot tall blue skinned bald man on top.

He rolls up and stops in front of the two with a smile.

"I expected your arrival." he said, a bored expression on his face.

"then you know why we've come."

"I do."

"then tell us, where is solaria's vault of vampire slaying weapons." moon asked not liking the frown on the normally joll time keeper.

"I can't do that." he said looking to a bubbled memory of him holding eclipsa while solaria looks on with a smile.

Moon sighed and looked at the memory. "I know you were close to both solaria anad eclipsa… but what she has become… she isn't the same little girl you knew before… can't you see that she is gonna destroy the multiverse."

"Moon, maybe the end of days has come… it has to happen eventually, why not now?" his melancholy voice made the realms skies turn a tear blue and several showers of salty tears fell from the sky masking the time keeper as the memories showed all the times he spent with eclipsa…

"Timekeeper…"

"No! She was my goddaugther! She was the one who looked at me with actual care and joy instead of reverence and distsance… and she has returned… to take revenge for the loss of her child and husband…"

"I know what you did… you gave her the spell to reincarnate her husband and child… didn't you?" Moon pointed to the man.

"I did, and I don't regret it." he said looking up into the sky… "If I could I'd make her immortal."

"She's hurting people timekeeper, killing innocents." moon exclaimed trying to plead with the last man who could help them find the vault.

"don't you think I know that! But don't you think we deserve this… for what we did… for what I allowed you to do." the timezone grew red then dark gray representing the timekeepers struggle. He grabbed his face and shook his head.

"I know you're hurting but the innocents of mewni don't deserve her wrath. If you want revenge for eclipsa and her family then I will suffer the punishment but we need your help… please." Moon pleaded on her last prayer.

The time keeper looked at a memory of when solaria first asked him to be the godfather to eclipsa. He didn't need to look though because he remembered it perfectly.

You want me to be your daugthers godparent. He was stupified when she asked and one look at that cute baby with her purple hair made the old mans heart melt.

Of course, you've saved my life more times then I can count… who better to look after my little gir? Solaria was so sweat for a monster killer… she was a warrior no doubt but when she held eclipsa you could see the soft side of her… the side she showed to few outside her immediate family.

I don't know… I'm not the parental type. He had doubts, there was no lie about that. He had a sacred duty to the timeline and eventually he knew that just like solaria he would have to watch eclipsa grow old and die… just like all of existence.

Oh come on… who can say no to this little cutie? He remembered solaria holding eclipsa up toward him like she was a dog being put on display. The big eyes that made every fiber of his being want to say yes.

Ooh, I can't deny she has your guilt tripping tendencies.

So what about it gramps… wanna be eclipsa's godparent.

"yes, I do… oh god, I'm sorry sunny." he felt the sadness wash over him as he wiped his eyes of the tears… he could feel his knees weaken with each moment he stood on them.

"Timekeeper?" Moon asked tilting her head.

"I just got her back… how can you expect me to give you the tools to destroy her." the timekeeper leaned back and then looked at moon. "would you be calm if I asked you to help in destroying your daugther?"

Moon paused and then backed away.

"I didn't think so… but, It has to be done… for the good of the realms." the timekeeper rose from his seated position and began to stretch.

"So, you're gonna tell us where the vault is?" Moon asked confused.

"I was always gonna tell you… I just wanted you to understand that you are asking a great deal of me." the timekeeper said reaching into his pocket and handing the pair a star map of the dimensions with a huge black hole.

"what is this,i've never seen this on any multiversal maps." moon asks pointing to the point in the map.

"that is entropy, a dimension of negative energy and destruction. It is where all live whether true or undead holds no dominion… that is where your armoury is… find it and never ask me of anything again." he said turning from the pair then returning to his chatriot.

"Thank you!"

"Do not thank me, for there is no garuntee any of you will survive… I'm sorry it came to this." he then teleported away to sulk.

The two watched him go frowns clear on their face.

Star who had been quiet in this could only look at each of the points in time with concern as she begins to tear up about what she had to do.
