3ª P.O.V.

It wasn't the first time that Diana had the nightmare with spiders that woke her from her sleep. And Kate, who started waking up before her sister to have coffee ready, was getting more and more worried.

"Morning" she said when saw Diana up.

"Hey" Diana whispered.

After breakfast Kate sit Diana in a chair by the desk and start putting a bandage over her sister burn. Meanwhile Diana start looking at Matthew's card.

"Are you going to talk with him?" Kate questioned.

"I don't know. I think that the best is that we keep working on our articles".

"So…we keep living in the Bodleian. Fine" Kate said smiling which cause her sister to smile too.

Kate and Diana dressed and got out of their apartment.

"Hey, isn't that your jacket?" she younger questioned when she saw her sister's jacket on the mailbox.

Diana picked it up and said with a small smile "It must been Matthew".

"It's a cute gesture. You know for someone who almost riped your throat off" Kate commented making her sister smile more and shake her head.

"This is crowded" Kate said to Diana once they got inside the Bodleian.

"Yes. It's weird. Don't think I had seen them here before" Diana agreed, looking at the people who were at the tables.

When they sit on a table facing each other Kate whispered to her sister "I think they are watching us".

Diana was about to talk with Kate when a strange old man stopped next to their table.

"Dr. Bishop?" he asked looking between Kate and Diana.

"Can I help you?" Diana questioned making the men face her.

"My name is Peter Knox. I presume that usually there aren't this many other creatures in the library" Peter said.

"Well, no" Diana agreed.

"I think that the word on the Ashmole manuscript spread" he whispered.

"Sorry I'm waiting on a book" the blond said.

"You're right on wanting to keep it quiet, but I assure you I'm a friend" he ensured and added: "Should we discuss this over coffee?"

"I don't think so" the sisters said serious at the same time.

"Or are you a tea drinker like your mother?" he questioned surprising Kate and Diana.

The sisters got out of the Bodleian and Kate walked in silence on the right side of her sister listening the conversation between Diana and Peter Knox. Even though she didn't trust in the unknown man she liked to see her sister smiling while she learned more about her dead parents.

When they arrived to the establishment Knox ordered tea for all of them but before they sit on the table he turned to Kate and said "I believe this are private witches' business".

Before Kate could give him a piece of her mind Diana intervened angry "Kate is my sister! If you can't say it to her then you can't say it to me".

"Very well. Lets' seat" Peter said beginning to sit.

Kate didn't paid too much attention on what Knox was saying until he referred Ashmole 782 and its disappearing.

"That's odd because I just requested Ashmole 782 this morning and it isn't there".

"Not there?" Diana questioned confused.

"Missing. According to the Bodleian catalog, it's been missing for years".

"But how could it be? That doesn't make any sense! I took it out" Diana said confused.

"You did returned it?" he asked.

"Of course. I would never steal a book from the Bodleian" the blonde answered.

"It could be the date. Maybe the book only shows itself around from the time of the equinox or it could be that there's a spell on it and somehow for some reason you broke it" Knox suggested.

"I'm not my mother Mr. Knox. I didn't inherited her powers".

"What happened when you opened it?" he questioned.

"I only look at one page" Diana said.

"What was on it?" now Knox's insistence put Kate on high alert.

"A picture of the alchemical child" her sister answered.

"It must had been more, you must have seen more".

"Why is it so important to you?" Diana questioned confused.

"Because if this book is what I think it is, it contains the witches' first spells. It could tell us how we created vampires" that was something Kate never heard before.

"That's just a myth" Diana disagreed.

"Vampires have used their brutal power and longevity to gain far too much control but if we created them then we can uncreated them" the homicidal plan of Knox shocked the sisters.

"I won't have any part of that" the blond said.

"You have to try to take it out again. You are the only person who has seen it in years" he said while grabbing Diana's arm. At the same time Kate grabbed a knife, sticking it on his sleeve and attaching Knox's coat to the table. Diana and Peter looked terrified to Kate.

"Leave my sister's arm or I won't miss" Kate threatened with a mortal look in her eyes. Peter let Diana's arm go but Kate kept the knife.

Diana and Kate quickly got out of the coffee and went to their apartment. Diana started doing some coffee and cut two pieces of chocolate cake that Kate brought the day before because with the interrogation of Knox they never finish eating.

"What do you think I should do, K?" Diana asked her sister while they were eating.

"Anything except give the book to Peter Knox" Kate answered with certainty.

"I know, he hates other species. He would use it against them". Diana agreed "I don't even know how he knew in the first place!"

"Only creatures fell it. So it could been demons, vampires or witches, but demons and vampires would never tell a witch how to destroy them" Kate rationalized "So bitchy witches told to other bitchy witches" she added making Diana laugh.

"I just want to live a normal life. I want to be normal." Diana said.

"I know. I get it. But this is a stand that you need to take or people are going to die" the younger sister said making the blonde nod.

"I also think that the next time Matthew Clairmont talks to us we should listen. He did warned us that other creatures would be interested in us, in you" Kate added.

"It looks like he gave up on me" Diana said sounding disappointed to her younger sister.

"Well, don't be so disappointed. He will be back. I know it" Kate said with certainty.
