A/N: Welcome to the TWENTY-FIRSTchapter of Abnormal Childhood where Goku will take on the Ginyu Force. So, without further ado, I turn it over to Lorren. Enjoy!
"Just relax," Goku told Krillin.
"Oh, well, alright," murmured Krillin.
"What are you doing, Dad?" inquired Gohan.
"I'm going to read Krillin's mind," Goku informed us, closing his eyes.
"Wow, seriously?" I replied as Goku opened his eyes after only a moment.
"Thanks," said Goku, removing his hand. "I understand everything."
"How?" asked Krillin.
"I'm not really sure," admitted Goku. "That was my first time. It's weird. I finished my training program on the ship, and something happened. I didn't think it was any big deal, but I guess exercising at 100 times normal gravity has its benefits."
"What? A 100 times?!" exclaimed Krillin. "How is that possible? You'd be crushed!"
"I guess I must have tough skin or something," figured Goku. "I feel fine."
"Part of being a Saiyan, I guess," I mused.
"I'm really proud of you guys for everything you've done so far," Goku told us. "What an ordeal. Until I saw your thoughts, I didn't realize how much of a struggle it's been for you three."
"Thanks," responded Krillin. "We tried our best not to let you down."
"None of you could ever let me down," Goku assured him as he took out another bean.
Now, if you'll excuse me for a second, there's a little something I have to do. Vegeta!"
Goku tossed the bean to the injured Saiyan who caught and stared at it. "Eat it, Vegeta!"
"Hey!" yelled Krillin. "We can't be sure about Vegeta. Are you nuts?"
"Why'd you do that?" inquired Gohan while Vegeta ate the bean.
"And now he's stronger than before," I muttered.
"Listen, Goku!" said Krillin. "I hope you know what you are doing because I sure don't! You're taking a huge risk!"
"I owed Vegeta a favor. If it wasn't for him, that guy who freezes time would have finished you three," Goku reminded us.
"That's fair," I conceded, albeit begrudgingly as Goku walked forward.
"Hey, wait!" urged Krillin. "Where are you going now?"
"To teach these guys a lesson," replied Goku.
"What?" yelled Krillin. "You're gonna take them on by yourself?"
"I'll be fine," Goku reassured him.
"Be careful," murmured Gohan.
"Go get 'em, Goku," I said.
"You must think you're pretty hot stuff, huh?" remarked Recoome.
"Oh man," muttered Krillin. "What the heck is Goku thinking? That 100 times gravity must have crushed his brain. This is crazy. It's suicide."
"I don't know, Krillin," argued Gohan. "Dad does seem different somehow."
I nodded. "Gohan's right. I have a feeling Goku's gonna be okay."
"This is turning out to be a really fun day," declared Recoome. "Hey, how about getting a read on this little punk's power level, you guys?"
"Don't sweat it," Burter told him. "It's only 5,000."
"Aw man," complained Recoome. "That really bums me out. He's like the rest, all talk. I'm not even gonna have to try."
I smirked. "Gotta love it when the bad guys are idiots especially when we powered up right in front of them."
"Alright, let's do this, tough guy," challenged Recoome causing Goku to smile. "What the heck are you smirking about? You do understand that I'm about to kill you, don't you?"
"Don't be so sure," warned Goku. "You won't even lay a hand on me."
I whistled as Recoome laughed. "Oh boy, that's a good one. Hear that? He says I won't even lay a hand on him. Guess I'll have to beat him with my feet instead."
"I've never seen your dad so calm before. Have you, Gohan?" I asked him. Gohan shook his head. "He must be really confident."
"Maybe he's bluffing," suggested Krillin.
"My dad wouldn't say something unless he could back it up," said Gohan.
"Okay, enough of the comedy routine," declared Recoome. "What do you say we get down to business? Hands, feet, whatever. It won't matter. You're still gonna die. Prepare to be scared. Now feel the power! Die!"
The big idiot charged Goku who disappeared.
"Wow," I breathed. "I didn't even see him move."
"Neither did I," murmured Gohan. "Where is he?"
"No clue," replied Krillin.
I glanced at Vegeta who was looking up at the sky and followed his gaze to see Goku was standing behind Jeice and Burter. "Amazing. Guys, he's up there!"
"What's going on?" demanded Recoome.
"You guys have caused enough problems here," Goku told them. "It's time for you to leave. Go back to your ships and get off this planet. Otherwise, you'll face me."
Jeice and Burter tried to him but Goku dodged.
"Who is this guy?" asked Jeice as Goku flew back to Recoome.
"You cocky little punk. Enough showing off!" ordered Recoome. "We get the idea. You're pretty quick. Speed alone isn't going to be enough to save you. See, I've got this special little move I like to use and trust me, you won't be able to dodge this one, no sir! I'm gonna wipe out this whole place. Everything you see is gonna be rubble. Just one shot and you're all dead. I hope you're ready 'cause I'm gonna send all of you wimps straight to Hell!"
Recoome then powered up, making the ground shake. "Dodge this, punk!"
"Look out!" yelled Krillin.
"Now, full power!" shouted Recoome.
Goku elbowed the oaf in the gut, cutting him off.
"Sorry," apologized Goku. "I saw an opening that seemed to scream out attack, so I did."
Recoome crumpled over in pain and landed face first into the ground.
"Holy cow!" I exclaimed. "He beat him with one hit! That must have been some training."
"Yeah," agreed Gohan. "It's like Dad's a whole nother person."
"You two!" called Goku, staring up at Jeice and Burter. "I'm warning you, leave this planet now and don't ever come back! I don't want to fight you, but I will if I have to and if it comes to that I promise you, you'll both be joining your friend here on the ground. Understand me?"
~ Abnormal Childhood ~
"Now say hello to the Ginyu Force!" roared Jeice, posing. "Jeice!"
Burter posed too. "I am your worst nightmare! Prepare yourself for Burter!"
"Seriously, are they fighters or a cheerleading squad?" I muttered.
"Be ready, you two." Krillin advised us.
"You wanna dance or fight?" inquired Goku.
Jeice and Burter flew past Goku in an obvious attempt to intimidate him.
"Now who's showing off?" I mused as Goku remained where he was.
"Burter, what's the deal with this guy?" inquired Jeice. "He won't even make a move."
"I don't know," replied Burter. "Maybe he's scared stiff."
"I think you're the ones who are scared," I remarked as they landed and blasted Goku. "Move!"
We ducked out of the way as Goku emerged unharmed.
"I'm sick of your little games. We are the Ginyu-," began Jeice but was cut off as Goku punched him in the face, breaking his nose. "How dare you!"
"How dare I what? Weren't the two of you just trying to attack me?" Goku pointed out.
"Why you! I'll destroy you!" proclaimed Jeice as he and Burter punched Goku. Goku blocked and kicked them away then blew them even further away with his energy. "There's no way. Where did he get that power?"
"He channeled his energy into some sort of blast," noted Krillin.
"You know, I don't think these guys are as powerful as we thought they were," said Gohan. "My dad hasn't even fought back."
"I'm not so sure," argued Krillin.
I inclined my head. "I think it appears that way because your dad is the one fighting and he's on a completely different level than us."
Jeice and Burter charged Goku again but he still didn't move.
"No way. They can't even touch him," remarked Krillin. "His speed is incredible. I hardly see him moving."
"So that's it," I murmured.
"Those guys are about to find out how powerful Goku is the hard way," declared Krillin.
Meanwhile Jeice was rechecking his scouter. "I don't understand. His power level is only 5,000. I'm sure of it, but my attacks don't even faze him."
"Goku must be raising his power really quickly so their scouters can't detect it," I surmised.
"Hey, Jeice!" yelled Burter. "It's time for the Purple Spiral Flash attack!"
"Right, Burter! Let's do it!" agreed Jeice. They powered up and combined then sent energy discs at Goku which he deflected with ease. "We didn't even touch him!"
They decided to throw a red energy ball at Goku who simply batted it away.
"He deflected it!" exclaimed Jeice as the attack headed for Burter who dodged out of the way.
"Damn you!" shouted Burter, rushing towards Goku who disappeared. "Hey, where did he go?"
"Look out!" warned Jeice. "Behind you!"
Burter spun around to see Goku standing behind him. "Hi."
"How the heck did you do that?" demanded Burter. "I mean, how did you get behind me? No one's that fast."
"Well, apparently I am," replied Goku.
"Who are you?" asked Burter.
"My name's Goku," he informed them. "And I'm a Saiyan from Earth."
"Liar!" spat Burter. "I defeated hundreds of Saiyans and none of them were faster than me!"
"It must be my diet," guessed Goku. "I eat really wholesome foods."
"Your diet, huh?" sneered Burter. "I'm about to make my fist part of your diet! Playing it cool, are ya? Well, you'll die even faster."
Burter swung at Goku who dodged. "Why don't you stay still and fight me like a man?"
"That does it!" announced Jeice. "I've had enough! No one makes a fool of the Ginyu Force!"
Jeice joined the fight causing it to speed up, making everything a blur.
"This is so awesome," I stated excitedly. "Too bad we can't see what's happening."
Goku disappeared, resulting in the two morons hitting each other.
"Idiot!" yelled Burter.
"It's your fault, you dope," Jeice shot back.
"Hey, guys!" interrupted Goku. "You wanna dance or fight?"
Goku kicked Burter, sending him flying then punched him to the ground before catching his opponent with his palm pressed into Burter's stomach.
"Oh yeah!" I cheered. "He's definitely done."
Goku tossed Burter to the side. "You've been deceiving yourselves. This fight is fruitless. Listen, it's not too late for you to leave this planet. Your choice but if I were you, I'd get out of here."
"Don't be a fool, Kakarrot!" yelled Vegeta. "He's destroyed more men than you can count!"
"Don't you remember, Vegeta? We let you go on Earth," Goku reminded him. "Don't you think they deserve the same chance?"
"He's running away!" realized Gohan as Jeice fled.
"Gosh, he's some friend, isn't he?" remarked Goku. "These guys might walk funny for a while, but they'll recover just fine. Strong fighters but with weak characters."
"Hey, you are Goku, aren't you?" asked Krillin.
"What? Of course I am, Krillin," Goku assured him. "Don't be silly."
Vegeta suddenly started to attack the fallen Ginyu fighters.
"Hey, stop!" ordered Goku. "Vegeta, that's enough! What are you doing?"
Vegeta did not respond instead he blasted Recoome.
"Jerk," I muttered. "That was totally unnecessary."
"What's your deal?" inquired Goku. "You know how to receive mercy, but you can't give it. Too bad. I was hoping you might have changed."
"They don't deserve any favors!" retorted Vegeta.
"Neither did you," I shot back.
Vegeta ignored me. "They're scum, Kakarrot, believe me. Would they have taken mercy on your son and your friends? If you'd arrived ten minutes later, they'd be gone right now."
"Wow, I didn't know you cared," I said sarcastically.
"You're too soft to be a Saiyan," continued Vegeta. "That freak you let go could cost you your life."
"No way, not him," argued Goku.
"He doesn't have to be stronger than you to beat him," replied Vegeta. "He could take your kid hostage and make you walk right into their hands like a lamb. These people are ruthless savages, Kakarrot. They're warriors and they'll do whatever it takes to win the game and here you are, Mr. Nice Guy. They're gonna chew you up and spit you out with that attitude."
"We'll see," responded Goku. "I don't think having a little compassion is a disadvantage."
"You poor fool!" jeered Vegeta. "A fight with Frieza is a fight to the end and it will be your end. You're nothing compared to Frieza, Kakarrot."
"Excuse me," interjected Krillin. "I hate to interrupt but who's gonna beat who here? You saw how Goku handled those guys earlier. He was in a league of his own. They couldn't even touch him and this guy's supposed to beat him? Not likely!"
"Kakarrot's strong," acknowledged Vegeta. "But he's not strong enough and besides, Frieza's been after the Dragon Balls and if I know him, he's probably already made his wish by now which means you won't be dealing with an all-powerful maniac. You'll be dealing with an immortal."
"No, I don't think that Frieza guy has used the Dragon Balls yet," Krillin disagreed.
"Why not?" demanded Vegeta. "Explain!"
"Well, on Earth when you summon the Dragon, all kinds of crazy stuff starts happening," explained Krillin. "For one thing, the entire sky turns pitch black. Plus, there's always a lot of lightning, radical lightning, and high winds. Nope, the sky's been real calm."
"What?!" exclaimed Vegeta. "Then Frieza hasn't summoned the dragon yet?! But why not?! He's bound to have had them for a while now."
"Hey, I think I know why," said Goku. "I'll bet Frieza doesn't know the password, huh? These balls aren't like the ones on Earth. Here you need the password."
"A password?" repeated Vegeta. "Then there's still hope."
Goku grinned and turned to face us. "Hey, that means there's still a chance to wish Piccolo and the others back to this dimension!"
"Alright!" cheered Krillin.
"What do you say, Gohan?" Goku asked him. Gohan smiled. "You guys should be proud. This means all of your hard work might still pay off."
"Everything's gonna be okay!" sighed Krillin.
I grinned. "Let's go get those Dragon Balls!"
Goku nodded. "Thanks to you guys, we still have a chance."
