A/N: Thank you to all the lovely people who reviewed last time! Please please leave some more reviews when you read! This chapter took a long time to write, but I ended up writing bits and pieces of the next few chapters along the way, so hopefully, the next chapters will come faster. :) Enjoy and please leave a review for me!

A/N2: This is an M-rated chapter, so beware ;D ... Edit: I've been reconsidering whether I should keep the story as T-rated or bump it to an M-rating. I'm not so sure what to do here, but since most of the chapters aren't graphic, I'll stick with the T rating for now. Let me know your input (or preference) please!

Chapter 10

During dinner that night, Lorelai definitely noticed that Rory and Jess were eating too fast. They glanced at each other too often. Even Rory's banter seemed off somehow, always a split second too late. She was getting irritated at the two teenagers making googly eyes at each other; her funny jokes weren't getting any recognition. She wondered how they could still have that palpable tension between them, even now that they practically live together.

In many ways, she could see it on Rory's face that this was different. It wasn't the kid crush she'd had on Dean; that safe, comfortable relationship was gone. She saw a longing, a fire in Rory's eyes and it scared Lorelai more than she could convey. Jess didn't deserve Rory, not even close. There was no doubt in her mind about that. But the little punk sure looked pretty dazed himself, like he was somewhere else completely. Lorelai sighed; of course, she wanted Rory to have this fiery love, this reckless jump-off-a-bridge-for-you kind of love. She'd always promised she wouldn't stand in Rory's way as a teenager. They trusted each other, and she wasn't Emily Gilmore. She just hoped she could step in when need be and keep Rory from actually jumping off a damn bridge with this guy.

'Okay, both of you, for God's sake. Stop playing footsie under the table!' Lorelai said, exasperated. At that, they at least had the decency to lean back and look embarrassed. It was a bit too enjoyable to see Jess very obviously squirming.

Those two were definitely planning something for tonight, Lorelai thought, suddenly wishing for her 12-year old Rory back. Things were so much easier when her daughter didn't know boys existed and buried herself in her books. Maybe she should've let Mrs. Kim handle the talk about sex. Maybe she should've whacked Jess on the head with a frying pan after all. She just hoped she had some earplugs to get her through tonight.

Later, when the house was quiet and dark, Jess opened the door to Rory's bedroom. His eyes met her wide blue ones staring back at him in surprise.

'Huh, what are you doing out of bed at 12:30 in the morning?' Jess raised his eyebrows, his eyes playful.

'Same thing you're doing at my bedroom door at 12:30 in the morning.' Rory gave him a pointed look.

'12:30 seemed like a good time.'

'Very good time.'

'I had to wait for... I mean, to make sure Lorelai's asleep.'

'Good call.' Rory nodded approvingly.

'Second time you're sneaking out.' Jess remarked and took a small step towards her.

She also stepped closer. 'It's my house. You're the one sneaking out, mister.'

'Hey, I just came here to borrow that book.' He widened his eyes and put up his hands in mock-innocence, gesturing towards her bookshelf. 'Did you think I was here for any other reas–'

Rory rolled her eyes and closed her fists around his shirt, pulling his lips to hers and making him smile mischievously. He wrapped his arms around Rory's waist, embracing the warmth of her body, as he deepened the kiss. With their lips still locked, he shut the door as quietly as he could and guided Rory against it. Her back hit the door with a soft thud while he continued to suck on her lips.

They both felt a sudden restlessness, as they realized they'd been interrupted so many times before and had to rectify that tonight. Rory wasted no time at all, as her hands slipped under his shirt to feel up and down his back. She rubbed soothing circles with her fingers and instinctively pulled him in. After she pulled his shirt halfway up, she tugged at it insistently until Jess slid it over his head and tossed it to the floor. She gave a small approving hum and resumed her work from earlier, exploring his chest with nimble fingers.

Jess was definitely impressed with her speed tonight. Not that Rory hadn't surprised him before when they were alone; he remembered many times when she'd been the one throwing him to Luke's couch, making the best use of the 10-minute intervals they had in Luke's apartment. Of course, back then, they'd only ever gotten to second base. Now, they were definitely headed for something more.

His hands reached up to touch her cheek, steadying her gently as he slid down to kiss her neck, licking his way down and pressing kisses all over her throat. He could feel her breath coming out more and more erratically, as her hands slid up and down his chest.

'Nice pajamas.' He teased between breaths, as he took in her deep blue pajamas, dotted with what looked like tiny cupcakes. It was something he always liked about Rory, that she dressed as herself, so genuinely herself, with nothing extravagant or fake. Feeling like he just walked in spontaneously into her room with her so carelessly dressed made him feel even closer, more intimate to her somehow. He wondered absently whether she was wearing a bra.

She smiled at him nervously and guided his hands to the buttons of her shirt. Soon, it was tossed away too, confirming Jess's thoughts about the bra. He dipped his head lower to kiss her chest, while his hands held her shoulders firmly, pinning her to the door. Licking and kissing all over her breasts, he let himself get lost in her soft, delicious skin. He was vaguely aware of her hands reaching back to lock the door, before she jumped up unexpectedly, her legs wrapping around his waist. She was as restless as he was tonight, that's for sure.

'Damn, Rory.' He sighed, burying his face in her breasts and enjoying the new angle. She was panting against him, massaging his scalp, his neck, his shoulders. Her thighs squeezed him tighter and he let out a small moan.

'Shhh.' Rory said as she tilted his face towards hers and drew him in for a kiss.

Before long, Jess was walking them towards the bed. He gripped her waist, lowering her diagonally on the bed. His knees hit the edge of the bed, making him tumble on top of her, still kissing intensely.

'You ok?' He whispered.

Her eyes were so unfocused, her face red and her hair sticking to her cheek. Jess couldn't think of anything more gorgeous. 'Yes, so good,' she whispered back, pulling his lips in again.

His hands slipped away from her waist, to push his pants down, desperate to get the fabric out of the way. Rory's hands moved to mirror his own, sliding her own pants down. Suddenly, they were all hands everywhere. He squeezed her hips, her waist, massaged her stomach and traced along her thighs. She was responding to his every touch and exploring his body with curious fingers. Her fingers wandered over his back, slid down and gripped his hips, her nails scratching wonderfully. Their kisses were becoming more and more breathless as their hands gradually slid lower.

'I think we should…' Rory said shakily.

Jess turned to kiss her neck, pressing his lips down her throat and licking his way up again. His mind barely registered her words and he could only grunt in response.

'Jess... Top drawer.' Rory's hands squeezed his shoulders.

His lips never left her skin, sucking on her jaw while his hands fumbled Rory's bedside table. He knocked over something, a book maybe, before he found her drawer. He felt around it for a while before he found a condom and held it up in triumph.

Once it was rolled on, their hands went back to their desperate roaming. As Jess's fingers teased up and down her thighs, Rory's hips rolled towards him, demanding more and making him almost lose it completely. He heard her gasp when his fingers made their way between her legs. He watched her face scrunch and pant as he drew circles with his fingers, the wetness making them glide easily. She gripped his shoulders and when she tensed up, buried her face against them. Not much later, her whole body spasmed against him as she came with a loud gasp.

Her breath was still against his ear, faintly tickling him. 'Oh, wow.'

'My turn.' He responded, before pushing his hips into her. His mind went totally blank, completely delirious. He gripped her waist again, feeling her hips thrust against him. She was getting him so close to the edge, as he tried to make himself last. He was faintly aware of himself mumbling her name and holding her tighter when he finally came against her, sinking into her in bliss.

Afterward, as they lay together quietly, Rory marveled at her boyfriend yet again, noticing how unguarded his face looked, and how easy his smile was. He looked so content, with his arms wrapped around her waist and his fingers trailed her arms soothingly, occasionally threading through her hair. He was staring at her with a small smile, like he was completely fascinated by her features, studying every inch of her face. It seemed like the walls he always had around him were momentarily knocked down, his face completely open. She realized she was seeing a totally different Jess, a version of him that existed only for her.

Still self-conscious, though definitely not uncomfortable, Rory had put on a t-shirt. Jess's t-shirt, specifically. Of course, he'd complained lightly about her getting dressed, and tried to tease her into taking it off, but to no avail. When his pleading failed, he'd bit at the neckline, pushing it down with his teeth to reveal her shoulders before resting his lips there. She closed her eyes for a moment, letting his breath tickle her shoulder and breathing in his t-shirt. It smelled like him; soap, faint smoke and that spicy Jess-scent that made him so irresistible.

Rory loved that moment. It was like the whole world stood still so that it was only the two of them. Their breaths, his smile, his lips, his touch. It felt to her like they were in their own dimension. All her senses were amplified, almost tuned perfectly to every minute movement he made.

She didn't want to disturb the stillness, but couldn't help but want to talk to him, maybe just to hear his voice.

'Hey, Jess?' Rory started, whispering quietly.

'Hmmm?' He hummed back softly, not looking up from her shoulder.

'I'm really glad you stayed.' The words rolled off her tongue easily, almost effortlessly.

Jess smiled into her neck. 'I didn't exactly have a choice.' He looked up, kissing her jaw. 'You were pretty scary that night.'

'You must be going soft.' Rory grinned. 'Cause I didn't even get to use my withering stare on you.'

'Trust me, you were withering enough.' He deadpanned.

'I'm still saving it in case you tried to run away.'

'I didn't even know you could get that mad. It was very Christiane Amanpour.'

In response, Rory turned and kissed him deeply, making him chuckle but return her kiss just as passionately.

When she pulled away, she said. 'Still. You chose to stay and I just… I'm really happy you did.'

'Well, I think seducing me swayed the decision heavily.' He was giving her an amused look. 'I would've done pretty much anything you asked me that day.'

She felt herself melt a little bit. Though he usually acted so rough around the edges, Jess had a tendency to just blurt the sweetest stuff sometimes, seemingly without even realizing it. At moments like that, teasing him became a necessity. 'Anything, huh?'

He rolled his eyes. 'I feel like I'll regret this, but yeah. Pretty much.'

'Oh, you poor boy. You're so whipped.' She cooed.

'I guess I really am.' He gave her a small pout.

She leaned into him coyly. 'So next time there's a winter carnival…?'

'Oh, God.' He groaned.

'Or a spring carnival…?'

He sighed dramatically.

'Ooh. Or the Firelight Festival? Can we go to that? Jess, that one's so romantic. It commemorates the founding of Stars Hollow and the story's just… It's so Romeo and Juliet… And the whole town's always decorated in fairy lights and there's food and music. We are so going next year. You're gonna love it. I know you will.' Rory gushed in one breath.

'Romeo and Juliet, huh?' He said quietly. When she turned to him, he was staring at her with that look of quiet fascination. It was almost like the look he got before he kissed her. Sure enough, after a minute of silence, he went back to kissing and nuzzling her neck, looping a hand around her waist. She was definitely right about him before, Jess is a cuddler, Rory thought to herself as she pushed her hands through the curls in his hair.

They were quiet for a while, lost in each other's touches. Then, Rory touched his cheek lightly. 'Can I ask you something?'

He leaned into her palm. 'Sure.'

'When's your birthday?'

He turned his head up lazily, giving her an amused look. 'That's random.'

'It's just… you know so much about me, but I don't know half as much about you.'

He smiled, the genuine kind she rarely saw. 'That's not true.'

'It is. There's so much I don't know. I don't know anything about you when you were a kid. I don't know your birthday, or your favorite color, or if you had any pets.'

'Yeah, but that stuff's not important. You know the important stuff.' He reassured.

'But… I don't. Like, I don't know much about your mom.' She had to point out.

'Trust me, you don't wanna know about her.'

'I don't know what you did to end up in Stars Hollow.'

'Also not important.'

'Well, I'm not picky. Tell me anything else.'

He paused, then said cautiously. 'It's November 9th.'

Rory smiled. 'Your birthday?'

'Yeah.'

'Wait. November?' She drew her eyebrows close together in thought. 'The dance marathon was in November!'

Jess looked away, shaking his head. 'Really? Huh, maybe, I don't know.'

'It was in early November.' She insisted.

He shrugged.

'So when we first got together, was that on your birthday?'

He paused. 'No…'

'So a few days from your birthday then? Probably the same week.' She gave him an accusing glare. 'Jess, how could you not tell me? I should've done something.'

'Probably why I didn't tell you.' He rolled his eyes in amusement.

'I throw great parties.'

'Eh. Parties are overrated. I didn't want a party. I wanted you.' He grinned, pressing a kiss on her cheek.

Rory shook her head, frowning.

He continued. 'And I did get you, so trust me. It was a great birthday present.'

'Oh come on. You have to let me throw you a party next year.' She pleaded.

'No.'

'Please.'

'I don't do birthday parties.'

'It's one of my duties as a girlfriend.'

He tried to act serious. 'And next thing, I'll be wearing a dress and putting glitter on my hair.'

'Oh, stop it. You're already just a big cuddler.'

He had to chuckle. 'Well, I haven't celebrated a birthday since I was like… five.'

'All the more reason to let me throw you one.'

'I'll accept other birthday presents… Like this.' He pointed between them, giving her a suggestive look. 'Here, or in the garage, or anywhere else.'

'Glad to see you've got your priorities straight.' Rory approved.

'Definitely.' He nodded at her somberly.

'Tell me something else I don't know about you.'

He pondered for a moment. 'Hmmm, what do you wanna know?'

'Have you ever… crashed a party?' Rory asked, trying to sound casual.

'A birthday party? Oh yeah, I made a habit out of bursting balloons and making little kids cry.'

'Sure, you did, Mr. Grumpy-pants. But no, I mean normal parties, like parties we could go to.'

'Ah. Those parties… Yeah, I've been to a few. Some of them even ended in cop raids…'

Rory rolled her eyes. 'Oh, you party animal.'

'That is me.' He deadpanned.

Rory pursed her lips. 'I was thinking more like, what if we… crash prom?'

At that, he sat up, leaning on his elbows and meeting her eyes. He stared at her as if she'd grown a second head. 'You wanna crash prom?'

'I'm just… No, I don't know.'

'In Stars Hollow?'

'I didn't say that.'

'You wanna crash prom in Stars Hollow?' He said, breaking into laughter.

'It was a hypothetical question.'

He was still chuckling. 'Wow. Guess I've been rubbing off on you lately, huh?'

'It's fine, just forget it.' She grumbled.

'You'd be committing a felony. You might get arrested. What will the townspeople say?' His eyes widened in horror.

'Hey, stop!'

'They'll mob you, with pitchforks. You'll be Stars Hollow's most wanted.'

Rory threw her hands up. 'It's the middle of the night. I'm rambling and tired and…'

'And sexed out. That's the best time to plan prom-related crime.' He nodded conspiratorially.

'I wasn't planning. Just suggesting. Not even that, just imagining. But, seriously, forget it.'

'Okay, if you say so.' Jess said easily.

'Okay.'

He paused for a moment. 'And no, by the way.'

'No, what?'

'I never crashed a party before. Parties aren't really my thing. Too loud, too many people.'

'You say that about everything.' Rory rolled her eyes.

'It's true for most things.'

'You seemed fine at the Distillers concert.'

'Well, that's 'cause it was with you.'

Rory sighed. 'But, yeah, you're right. We can't crash prom. It's stupid.'

'I didn't say it was stupid…' His eyes softened, running a hand through her hair gently.

'Jess, really, don't worry about it.'

'You wanted to go. I should've taken you.' He said apologetically.

'Yeah, but there'll be other parties and prom was only about this deal I had with Lane.'

Jess sighed, contemplating silently.

Rory poked his chest. 'I don't even have a dress, so it doesn't matter.'

He tried to smile. 'I don't think the dress is the problem here.'

'And oh God. Crashing prom... Is that really a felony?' It was Rory's turn to be horrified.

'You're adorable.' His lips curled up and he shook his head slowly, as he leaned down to kiss her.

Rory decided she didn't feel like talking anymore as their heads fell back into the pillow. Their kiss was lazy and they made it last for a while. It made her head spin, so she closed her eyes, enjoying the dizziness. When Jess drew back, she searched for his lips again and finally felt them on her forehead. When he switched off the night lamp next to her, she realized how tired she was, as she sank into a deep sleep, her lips still tingling wonderfully.

A/N: So that was a lot of fluff, hopefully you enjoyed. Please please give me some reviews!
