This is pure silliness because I wondered what it would be like to read the books from Kitten's perspective. No, I am not writing them again! This is just snippets of Kitten's perspective on the books as I have re-written them. Each chapter is a book. Please read and Review.

Jon sat again, heavy at the end of the table. He placed his face in his hands, then lifted it, fingers dragging to chin. Numair wondered if the same feeling of fatigue had overtaken him. "You once told me it was for her Numair. That you would live your life for her." Jon glanced at the window Daine had flown from. "I live it for them..."

This is my rewrite of Book 2: Wolf Speaker from Numair's point of view. This was my least favourite book of the quartet but has actually been my favourite to write from the quartet. Please read and review.

Numair resorts to magic to try and cure himself of his love for Daine. Now if only he could figure out when he first fell in love with Daine. Daine/Numair. Post ROTG AU where they didn't get together.

Being sent over the border to marry a powerful man she hadn't even known existed, much less met, was distinctly not in Daine's life's plan. She makes the best of it. [Daine/Numair, canon AU]

Numair crafts his marriage in reverse and mostly by accident.

"Magelet, is this about the boy, the Magpie or the horses?" Mutely, she held up her necklace for him to see. The badger claw. There was a tiny metal ring, warped enough that it was no longer a perfect circle, also tied to the leather strap. A charm had once hung there and now did not. Set in an AU four years after ROTG.

Numair was silent for a long moment. "You said that the notion, however laughable it may be, that I don't find you attractive doesn't bother you 'anymore'". The smile slid off of her face like a shutter slamming shut. "I guess that is what I said."

So many paths; so many journeys. So many ways to find one another. Collection of prompt-driven shorts focusing on Daine and Numair as they navigate shared moments. Each entry stands alone and is not connected to one another. Mix of genres, and canon-compliant and au-based.

Set between the prologue and first chapter of ROTG (because I don't feel there is enough written during this time). This will be a series of one shots about Daine and Numair realizing they are in love. I am not sure how many chapters this will be yet.

[AU] This is a story base in modern times. Daine is a wildlife expert that never thought much for the human race and neither did she bother to involve herself with them unless it concerns the animals. However she will find that Fate has something more install for her life than she could imagine.

A love story for those who chronically lose their cars in busy parking lots. [Daine/Numair; modern AU]

When Daine said, mostly joking, "Well, you didn't like Perin, either; why did you never approve of my boyfriends?" to Numair at the tail end of her college graduation party, the very last answer she expected to hear was: "Because I'm in love with you." / D/N; modern!AU

As it turned out, when your wingspan was easily twice your height and your flight feathers barely cleared the ground when fully spread, there were always a few spots you forgot or couldn't reach. Wingfic!AU

She looked down at her feet, one booted, one not. "Thats why I did what I did...and I'd do it again." A conversation between friends, on the boat home from Carthak. Canon Compliant.

Jonathan didn't think he himself would recognize it now, had it not been juxtaposed with the hatred in Numair's eyes. Jonathan knew now the danger he courted. To lose one would ultimately mean losing the other.  Canon Compliant. A conversation about returning to Carthak. Set just before Emperor Mage.

The light was blinding, but it wasn't the light that was making him stare. He couldn't figure out what she was. She looked like a two legger, but she glowed like a god... and she felt like people.
