The Cook and his helpers put food on soilders mess kits
Food they were serving was meatloaf mash potatoes gravy corn the drink was coffee
Lt Cody had his mess kit out he got meat loaf mash potoatos with gravy and coffee
Lincoln and William got there food and they sat down next to Cody

William" so lieutenant When will we show Hitler and Rommel what the United States Army can do.
Cody" I see you have quite the spirit do you private.

Cody" right but keep in mind the this is Britans war as well as Russia's war.

Lincoln" I actually enlisted cuase I wanted to serve my country just like any soilder would do heck if we were in peace time I still enlisted.
Cody" I enlisted in the army during peacetime and becuase I seem to show good leader ship I got rapid promotion fought my way in North Africa and when it was over I was promoted to Lieutenant and well here I am.
William" you were in North Africa?
Cody" yes.
Lincoln" what was it like?
Cody" hot and sandy nothing but desert not sure why the kruats wanted that strip of sand.
William" ah i see.( takes a spoon full a mash potatoe and takes a bite )
Cody" I have some advice don't get excited about seeing action

Cody" i know replacements when i see them saying were the kruats let me At them were going to go to Berlin five days later there laying in a pool of blood and guts screaming for help crying for there mama or a medic if I were you i stop dont be like what I was when I got shipped out.

Lincoln" he is black were i am from we can be friends with anyone regardless of race color religion or status.
