The Capitol was bored. The Hunger Games were getting boring. The Capitol needed something more to watch when the Hunger Games weren't on. So, Snow thought of a new game to play. The Marriage Initiative! A new show to watch throughout the year and would give Snow even more power. How will 16-year Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark handle now being forced to get married?

After the Sixth Quarter Quell, the peace Panem has seen for the last 75 years has been shattered. Two leaders assassinated. A country on the verge of war. With a rebellion looming ever closer, the Capitol has one last shot to stop the renegades and keep the peace. Can the mistakes of the past be righted or will the Third Rebellion be ignited by the renegades?

This truly intriguing idea fell into my head, and it would not leave me alone. I don't think a pairing like this exists, which made me wonder all the more: what if Katniss had a romance with Peeta's father, the Baker? Impossible, you say? There are always those that are burdened with memories. They can never forget those that are gone. But even if they aren't ready, the cycle is about to start all over again. The 124th Hunger Games is just around the corner, and there's no telling what that could mean for Panem.
