I know this is a bit of a short one, but I've got a script to follow XD each chapter has a certain number of things scheduled to happen in it, and I risk messing up everything if I break that schedule. XD Sorry, I hope you'll enjoy this one none the less X3

Casper slowly blinked awake. His head hurt, and it was dark. (Well, as dark as it could be when you, ever so slightly, glow) He was laying on something rather computable, and…leathery? He forced himself to focus and sit up, he realized he was laying on top of Thatch. In any other circumstance perhaps he would be flustered, but he was far too concerned at the moment.

"Thatch, wake up." The ghost whispered, trying to shake the vampire awake.

He tried to gently shake the others face, but stopped when he felt something wet, and warm. He pulled his hand away from Thatch's head and looked horrified at his palm.

Blood, and lots of it.

He pulled Thatch over to a sliver of light from the tunnel entrance, and examined his head. The vampire had a large gash on the side, it was incredibly bloody. Luckily the wound didn't seem too deep, but Casper was no doctor. Either way, it needed to be bandaged up.

Casper looked around frantically for a sharp rock, once he found one, he cut off the sleeve of his sweater. Then he reached up his sweater and cut off a good chunk of his t-shirt. The T-shirt was cleaner so he used it as a makeshift gauze, pressing it firmly over the wound to stop the bleeding. Then he wrapped the cut sleeve around Thatch's forehead, holding the fabric scrap in place.

He started trying to wake him up again, shaking him, calling his name. The vampire was unresponsive. He couldn't find a pulse, couldn't tell if he was breathing. He started wondering if maybe….

"No, no! You are not dead!"

Did Thatch need cpr? Was he even alive? How long had they been knocked out? Was it too late? Casper was panicking.

But then, Thatch started to stir. Casper sighed in relieve.

The vampire blinked awake, his head hurt like hell. He slowly sat up, head in hand.

"Where… the f are we…?" He asked groggily, squinting as his night vison adjusted.

"Some sort of underground cave system?" Casper answered.

"That much I can tell." Thatch rolled his eyes.

"Well, you asked." The ghost shrugged.

Thatch groaned and felt at the bandage across his forehead.

"God, my head feels like it was hit with an iron."

Casper grimaced. "You're not too far off, you've got a big gash on it. I wrapped it up the best I can, but you need to disinfect it, and get some actual bandages." He explained.

T; "No disinfectant."

Caser sighed in annoyance "Thatch, we've done this song and dance before, you need to disinfect it." He argued, putting his hands on his hips,

"I'll do what I want, thank you very much." The vampire looked away with a pout. "Like leaving this cave, for example…But first…What exactly were those things chasing us?"

"Hands from the monster catcher." Casper answered grimly.

Thatch gave a highly confused look.

"The what?"

"The monster catcher, It's some sort of a build in defense system for the school, stored in a secret attic. My uncle Jasper worked on it, but that's all I know." The ghost explained, shrugging. "One time a spider got in the control box and caused it to kidnap the whole school, I'm hoping it's the same thing this time." Casper explained, clearly thinking.

"Oookay." Thatch stared at the other, a little weirded out and still kind of confused.

C; "I know, it's a lot of stuff in one day."

T; "Yeah."

There was a moment of silence.

"So…what are we gonna do now." Thatch asked, raising a brow.

"Well, first off, we gotta find a way out of this cave. We could try and crawl back out the way we came, though it's steep, and the dirt's very loose…" Casper trailed off with an unsure tone.

"I'd turn into a bat, but shape shifting while injured, is just asking for trouble." Thatch responded tiredly.

"And that's another thing, we need to find you a place to stay until I fix the machine, somewhere the Monster Catcher can't go…" the ghost looked deep in though, but was snapped out of it by a annoyed Thatch;

"Wait, why do I gotta stay behind?!" The vampire snapped.

"Because you busted your head open, that's why!" Casper snapped back.

"So?!" The vampire snapped again.

"I'd prefer not to risk getting caught you caught." The ghost huffed angrily.

"Too bad, I'm not sitting around while you go off on your own! What if something happens to you? I'll be screwed! I don't even know how to get to this "Secret attic!" Thatch exclaimed with annoyance.

Casper thought about it for a moment before reluctantly responding.

"…Ok, a fair point…"

"Besides, maybe I can…distract the machine while you fix it. I'd at least be backup" The vampire suggested with an unsure tone.

Casper blinked. That was a good idea, and a rather unexpected response from Thatch. When they were younger, this was the kind of opportunity he would have taken to make himself look better. But now, here he was, offering to be bait. Thatch has changed quite a bit, hasn't he? Casper smiled softly.

The vampire felt a little weirded out by the expression the other one was giving him.

"Uh…are you ok?" Thatch raised a brow.

"Yeah, I just…you've grown over the years." The ghost smiled in a sweet way.

Thatch blinked and raised a brow. "I mean…I am taller, but what does that have to do with anything?"

Casper chuckled.

"I meant more in terms of person, but you have gotten taller too." He laughed.

It took Thatch a moment to figure out what the ghost was implying, but once he did, he scowled and looked disgusted, sticking out his tongue.

The ghost laughed at his response.

"Don't worry, I'll keep it under my hat." He chuckled.

T; "You don't have a hat."

"Then I'll keep it up my sweater." Casper smirked playfully.

Thatch snorted out a chuckle and blushed.

Then something occurred to him.

"So…wait, why can't the Monster Catcher find us down here?" he raised a brow.

"My best guess, it can't see this area. It likely runs on some sort of map parameter based system, I guess? So maybe It doesn't know this area is here, and thus can't see us while were down here." Casper shrugged.

T; "Makes sense…I think."

Casper inhaled and then got to his feet.

"No point stalling this." He extended his hand to Thatch, who took it. "I'll go intangible, except my hand, and I'll pull you up th-" as he helped the other up, Thatch stumbled and fell forward. Casper caught him and studied him, holding his arm for support.

"Wow, that…that was a bit of a headrush…" Thatch mumbled, holding his head.

"You might have a concussion. Are you dizzy? Lightheaded?" Casper looked up at the other with concern.

Thatch stared down at the little ghost. His vison was wobbly, his head felt light. Between his head, and the cute, caring, warm, ghost looking up at him with big doe eyes, he didn't know what he was doing until his lips were on the Caspers.

Casper squeaked as Thatch swiftly leaned forward and kissed him. The ghosts face glowed bright blue as he blushed. The vampire was being so unexpectedly sweet and gentle. An arm wrapped around the ghosts waist and pulled him closer. He blinked as his brain started to shut off.

And then, Casper closed his eyes and kissed back. The world seemed to fade away blissfully. He wrapped his arms around Thatch's neck,

Annnnnnd then there was a rock slide in the cave, only a few feet away from them.

They snapped out of it and jumped back as the destruction boomed throughout the cave.

They stood there in silence for a moment, staring at the rubble, processing what had just happened. Then they panicked.

"I think maybe we should get outta here, yes?" Casper stated hastily, anxiety lacing his tone.

"Sounds like a good plan!" Thatch responded just as quickly, clearly hyper nervous.

They did as previously planned; Thatch crawled up the little ramp like entrance, while Casper phased through the dirt and rocks, helping pull him along by the wrist.

They climbed out of hole and back into the forest.

"Alright, we won't have much time before it realizes were here." The ghost explained.

Thatch nodded.

Casper grabbed the others hand, not wanting to risk the monster catcher getting ether of them. Holding Thatch's hand shouldn't have been that big of a deal…but after the incident in the cave, Casper couldn't help feeling a little flustered. Thatch seemed anxious about it to…

They quickly headed for the school. But as they got closer, they could hear voices…They stopped running and peeked out from the trees, into the playground. Dummy girl and Slither were hanging out on a bench, talking. Mantha could be seen skateboarding, meanwhile Ra was drinking a soda and watching.

Casper and Thatch exchanged a confused look.

"You know I talk too much~
Honey, come put your lips on mine and shut me up,

We could blame it all on human nature,
Stay cool, it's just a kiss,
Oh, why you gotta be so talkative?
I talk too much, we talk too much~"
