Sorry that this one took a while, it was longer chapter. It's also somewhat my bro's fault, he's been showing me gundam stuff and sidetracking me XD I've also reaaaly been getting into the cartoon, 100% Wolf Legend of the Moonstone. So I've sidetracked myself quite a bit. XD

Thursday Morning.

Casper woke up, feeling quite well rested for a change. He stretched lazily before sitting up. He realized something was off when he heard a bizarre clicking sound as his feel touched the floor. He looked down at himself to realize he was still in his nether form. As stood up, he heard Ra's alarm going off in his sarcophagus. Casper, yelped in panic, then slipped on the floor, pulling his blanket down on top of himself as he did so. The sarcophagus lid opened, and Ra look down at the moving pile of blankets, with a raised a brow.

"Uh, Casp? You ok?"

The ghost pulled the blanket off and smiled up at Ra, with his normal ghostly face.

"Yes, I just slipped." It wasn't completely a lie anyways.

"Oh." The mummy hummed before getting up, and heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth.

Casper stood up, using his desk to help heave himself up. He then noticed a flower on his desk. It was a white lily with pink freckles.

"Ra, is this your flower?" The ghost turned to the open bathroom door, holding up the flower.

The mummy peered out, toothbrush in mouth. He looked at the flower then shook his head.

The ghost looked at the lily and tilted his head. Was it for him? It was on his desk, but who would've left it? Then a slight smile came to his face. He had an idea who it could be… but he knew it was just wishful thinking, and most certainly incorrect.

Thatch didn't even like flowers…

Thursday Evening.

It was late evening, just a few hours before curfew. Ra had went to go get something from the vending machine, so Casper was all alone in their dorm. He just happened to look out the window and see something rather odd. Snivel, flying into the woods.

"What's he up too?" Casper thought to himself, raising a brow.

He wanted to follow Kibosh's henchmen, but knew he'd get in trouble if he was found out.

There was another option however. Whereas Casper would get in trouble, a small white Krumpus like creature couldn't.

In a delicate blue glow, Casper shifted into his white nether form. (or as I like to call it, Krumpus Casper) He turned invisible and phased through the wall, flying after Snivel.

The little ghost weaved through the trees, carefully following Kibosh's snitch through the woods. Then, what came into view was a bunch of armored phantoms with special weapons, they looked like Swat agents. Casper was pretty sure they were agents of Kibosh.

He stepped onto the forest floor, and hid from sight. He was trying to make out what they were saying too each other, but he couldn't quite hear it. He took a few more steps, trying to hear more.

Something clamped onto Casper's leg. Something with teeth.

The little nether creature cried out in pain, making a noise like a hurt deer. He quickly clamped his hands over his mouth, realizing he just gave himself away. He tried to turn invisible and phase out of whatever held him, but he couldn't. It's like his powers were being blocked, keeping him trapped, and locking him in his current form. He looked down at what had bit him…it was a bear trap, an enchanted bear trap. It hurt like hell.

Suddenly a cage was dropped on top of him from the trees, it locked with the bottom part, which was hidden beneath Casper, among the leaves. He was trapped.

The phantom swat team and Snivel arrived, and stared at him.

"Well, it matches the description, aside from being a different color. Take it back to the school, I'll tell Alder and Dash, then call Kibosh."

Casper's ears went flat against his head, he growled as he looked around at the people surrounding him.

The students all gathered in the auditorium, Alder and Dash had made an announcement requesting everyone to attend.

Mantha made her way through the crowd of students, walking over to where Ra was sitting. She sat down next to him and leaned to ask him something quietly.

"Where's Casper?"

"I don't know; I haven't seen him in an hour." Ra whispered back.

"Well he better get here, he'll get in trouble if they notice him missing." The zombie hissed with worry.

Alder and Dash walked (slithered?) onto the stage, and to the mic. Behind them on the stage was Snivel on the left, and a covered cage on the right, with a gargoyle guard standing next to it.

"Students, as you recall, our beloved office was destroyed last week." Dash started.

"I'd hardly call it beloved…" Mantha whispered to Ra, rolling her eyes.

"More like dreaded." Ra snorted.

"Our lovely office was burnt down by some unknown creature. It has been an unseen threat to us since then! But today! Today the beast has been caught!" Dash exclaimed, gesturing to the cage behind them.

The gargoyles pulled the cloth of the cage, revealing the creature inside. The creature was white furred with blue swirled markings, it's face was a mix between a cat and a deer. It had hoof like claws, and a long forked tail. It had blue crystalline devil horns. It looked scared.

The audience made all kinds of noises of confusion and astonishment.

Mantha and Ra couldn't help but find the creature familiar.

Meanwhile, Thatch was having a silent panic attack from his spot in the audience.

"While this is not actually the individual who set our office on fire, the gargoyles who had been on duty that night, confirm this beast is at least the same species. Studying this specimen will help us understand more, and hopefully catch the actual creature." Dash continued.

"Or this creature can just change color, ether way this is a good thing." Alder added.

The audience stared unrealizingly at Casper, who had pressed himself as far as he could into the back of the cage. He was a cage animal on display for all to see. So many judging eyes watching him. He felt like an abused side show animal at a circus.

"Due to this event, tonight's curfew will be set earlier tonight." Dash continued with a mean smirk. He loved causing misery.

There was a lot of booing and disappointed sounds from the audience.

"You all got 30 minutes to scram!" Alder snapped.

"That concludes tonight's announcement. You may all leave." Dash concluded.

Most of the students dispersed, heading for their dorms.

"We gotta go find Casper, he must have taken a walk or something." Mantha whispered to Ra as they managed to get away from the crowed.

"Yeah, let's go check the dorm first, he may have gone back there." Ra suggested.

Mr Burns walked up onto the stage, to where Alder and Dash were discussing something with Snivel.

"Alder, Dash, I was thinking. Perhaps I could dissect the creature, find out more about its biology." The dragon asked.

"You'll have to ask Kibosh, but if he has no issues with it, I don't see why not." Dash responded simply.

Casper stared up at the three monsters, if he could turn whiter, he would have. Mr Burns was going to dissect him. He was going to be killed…he was going to die again.

He had to get out of this cage.

Meanwhile, Thatch, in batform, hid in a dark unseen corner of the stage. He had heard the whole thing. They were going to dissect Casper; they were going to murder him. His heart felt like it stopped. He quickly flew off when the teachers weren't looking.

Frankengym teacher and Mrs Hopper approached the cage as well.

"What an ugly creature this is…" Alder muttered, looking at the white devil creature.

"Looks like some stupid fae creature." Frank added.

"Oh, I do hope Kibosh says yes. I really want to know what makes this creature tick!" Mr Burns added menacingly.

Casper felt like crying, he was trapped in a cage like a wild animal, called mean things, and was likely going to die a second time. There are no words to describe the amount of fear and misery he felt. The only one not mocking him was Mrs Hopper, who stared at him with a frown. She had a pity in her eyes. She was the only good teacher in this school…

"Ok, we've gotta go take this cage to a safer room now. Everyone clear out." Snivel instructed, motioning for some gargoyles to help him roll the cage elsewhere.

The teachers cleared out, Mrs Hopper giving the white creature one last sad look before rolling away.

Thatch paced back and forth in the locker room. He had never felt so much panic before in his entire life. They were going to kill Casper…could ghosts die again? Well they could certainly feel pain, so maybe? Either way, he couldn't just let that happen… he had to do something. Or if they found out that was Casper, he'd get into so much trouble! Who knows what Kibosh would do to him…The idea of something bad happening to the little ghost made Thatch's stomach twist, and his heart stop. He never thought that Casper could have such an effect on him…but he was, and he had to do something about it…

"Where the hell is he!" Mantha cursed, as she moved aside a tree branch.

"We've checked everywhere else; he's got to be out here somewhere." Ra responded calmly, also pushing through the thick forest.

"Are you sure he didn't text you or leave a note?" she asked, looking back at him.

"Nope, not a thing." He shook his head.

A look of horror came to Mantha's face.

"You don't think he fell in the pit…"

"No, I don't think so. He wouldn't go walking that way."

"Maybe we should check anyway…"

"I'm sure he's fine Mantha…I think." Ra attempted to calm her down.

"I just…I got a bad feeling…" she mumbled.

"I know, I feel it too…But we're probably just working ourselves up to much."

"I hope you're right…"

Casper rocked the cage back and forth, trying to escape. But no matter how hard he pushed, or pulled, nothing budged. The bars were too small to squeeze through, it prevented his magic, and he had no way of unlocking the door. He was stuck. He didn't have his necklace with him, so he couldn't call for his grandfather's help. He didn't have his phone ether, couldn't tell Mantha and Ra what was going on. He could help himself, and he couldn't call for help.

He rested his forehead on the bars, trying to catch his breath. The only thing to do, was to wait until Kibosh got here, and reveal the truth. That Casper and this white devil were one and the same…and that he burned the headmasters office… Maybe Kibosh would have mercy on him, he did always want Casper to toughen up. Maybe? No, it was more likely that Kibosh would imprison him, or even more likely, execute him. Still, that was better that being experimented on by Mr Burns…

But then a thought came to Casper, a much worse one. What if Kibosh went after his uncles too?! He's done that in the past, he'd likely do it again! He couldn't let that happen! He'd have to keep pretending to be a wild creature…and be dissected by Mr Burns.

Tears came to the young ghosts face. He stepped back and slid down the bars of the cage, wrapping his tail around his body. He hugged himself as he cried, hiding his face as he did.

He was going to die a second time. He was going to be dissected and experimented on. He was going to die a painful, shameful death, and leave his family and friends behind. He didn't even know what would happen to himself after a second death. He knew he likely wouldn't come back.

He sobbed as he said silent goodbyes to his loved ones. Wendy was right, she always was. This place was horrid, the teachers were horrid, the school was horrid, the kingdom was horrid, and Kibosh was horrid! He wanted to go home, he wanted to go back to when he was little, to when he would make train sets with his father, back when they'd go to baseball games, and eat pancakes on Saturday morning! Back when he was allowed to be sweet, when the garden was full of flowers, and the lab full of sounds. Back when his life was not dictated by the evil will of a green tyrant. He wanted to go back to when he didn't spend each day feeling bad, when he felt warm, and loved. He wanted it back, and he wanted Kibosh gone.

Just then he heard the door open, he looked up to see the gargoyle checking in on him again. He went back to crying and heard the door close. Then, he heard flapping, and a bizarre sound in front of the cage.

"Hey, look up." A familiar voice whispered.

The ghost's ear's flicked towards the voice, he knew it was Thatch, but didn't look up. He couldn't drag the vampire into this, he'd get in trouble too. Hopefully the vampire would leave.

"Casper, I know that's you."

The ghost flinched, but still didn't look up. He would not respond to his name, and then Thatch would figure he guessed wrong, and leave.

"Casper." Thatch reached in between the bars and lifted up the ghost's chin, forcing him to look up, locking eyes with him. "I've seen you like this before, I know it's you."

Casper snapped to attention, eyes wide.

"When?" his face flushed, he didn't want his crush to see him looking like a weird cat/deer hybrid.

He was self-conscious about people knowing he could look like this…especially Thatch.

The vampire took his hand away and looked at the ground, mumbling as he took something out of his pocket.

"It doesn't matter."

The two little things he took out of his pocket, were lock picks. Casper watched as he started trying to pick the lock.

"You shouldn't be here; you're going to get in trouble."

"and you are beyond in trouble. I can't just…leave you. Mr Burns is going to dissect you!" Thatch hissed with concern.

"I know, but…I don't want you to get in trouble…" The ghost stated hesitantly.

"Too bad." The vampire snapped quietly.

Casper remained silent, watching Thatch fiddle with the lock. It seems like hours passed, but it had only a few minutes. The vampire was getting more and more stressed with each failed attempt. The ghost knew it was a lost cause. He sighed sadly.

"Thatch, leave. You're going to get caught, and-" He stopped as he heard the lock click open.

Thatch moved back a little and swung the cage door open. The ghost stared in disbelief.

"What are you waiting for, come on." The grey one motioned for him to come out.

Casper blinked, before leaping out of the cage and wrapping his arms around the vampire, who was knocked onto the ground by the force. He blushed as the ghost stayed there for longer than expected.

"Uh…" he mumbled in a fluster.

"Thank you." The ghost said quietly, his chin resting on the others shoulder.

"…You're welcome…" Thatch muttered awkwardly.

"No, really. Thank you." Casper stated again, emphasizing his point.

The vampire stayed quiet, slowly, and awkwardly wrapping his arms around the fluffy devil thing.

"I didn't want to die again…it was bad enough the first time." Casper choked back a sob, his emotions threating to get loose.

Thatch awkwardly patted the others back in an attempt to comfort him.

"Uh…there, there." He mumbled.

They stayed there for a little while as Casper calmed down, the terror left him emotionally exhausted, and he was feeling it physically. The ghost had shifted a little bit so that he was resting on the others shoulder. Thatch settled into the comforting hold he had around the other. They both felt bizarrely content.

"So…did you really burn down Alder and Dash's office?" Thatch asked quietly.

"Uh…" Casper tensed up.

"Oh my god, you did." The vampire's eyes went wide as he looked down at the creature in his arms.

"Well, uh…I thought they ate Dudley...and I, uh, got a little upset…" The ghost mumbled with some embarrassment.

"A little? You commit full blown arson when only a little upset?" Thatch raised a brow, his expression still astonished.

"Ok…I was a lot upset." Casper admitted.

The vampire softened, chuckling.

"Man, when you get pissed off, you really get pissed off."

"Shhhhut up." The ghost responded sheepishly, hiding his face in the others shoulder.

Thatch just chuckled again.

"I guess I should be more careful when I try to annoy you."

The ghost leaned back and smirked, lifting up his claws in a mock-threating manner.

"Perhaps you should. Or one day, Devil Casper might come after you." he grinned with sharp teeth and a mock growl.

Thatch found it quite It quite adorable.

"Oh no, I'm so scared." The vampire rolled his eyes.

Casper just chuckled with a smirk.

Suddenly, the door handle at the end of the room started to move, they both snapped their attention to the door.

Snivel opened the door, and stood aside, letting Kibosh into the room.

"What the hell is this?" the King snarled.

"I know my lord, it's an abomination to monster kind." Snivel responded simply.

"It certainly is." Kibosh sneered.

The fat ghost walked around Kibosh, and into the room, he gestured to the cage.

"As you can see, it's a-" Snivel stopped when he noticed that the cage was empty, and the cage door wide open.

"It's a what Snivel? Do tell me what I'm supposed to be looking at." The green king sneered.

Snivel nervously swallowed.

Casper, invisible, and still in Krumpus form, flew through the cold night air, occasionally bouncing off roof tops. He held something small in his arms, his fur hiding it.

He phased through the outside wall, and into the dorm room hallway, landing delicately onto the tile. He went visible again, relaxing his arms, and allowing a small black and white bat to crawl out of his hold. The bat flew a few feet in front of him, before shifting back to Thatch in a puff of dark purple smoke.

"Man, you sure are fluffy." The vampire chuckled.

"Really? I hadn't noticed." The ghost responded with cheery Sarcasm.

Thatch chuckled.

There was a comfortable silence.

"Well, I better get inside my room…" Casper chuckled awkwardly.

The vampire, rubbed the back of his neck, equally as awkward.

"Yeah, I guess I should go too."

Casper turned to open the door to his room.

"Err wait." Thatch hissed in a spazzed manner.

"Huh?" the ghost tilted his head.

The vampire gestured to the ghost awkwardly.

"Your, uh, fur. You might wanna…"

"Oh, right! Thanks." Casper gasped, and stepped back from the door.

In a quick blue light, he was back to his normal self.

Thatch chuckled.

"Say, you ever gonna tell me how that works?" he raised a brow with a slight smirk.

"Maybe…if you ever tell me how you knew I was that creature." The ghost smiled sweetly.

There was a pause.

"I gotta go." The vampire blushed, and scurried away, trying not to act embarrassed.

Casper walked into his room and was immediately hugged by Ra and Mantha.

"Where were you!?" the zombie exclaimed

"We were looking for you everywhere!" Ra added

Casper chuckled nervously.

"I'm sorry, I was out on a walk. I must have forgotten my phone…"

"Where we're you walking? Antarctica? We looked everywhere!" Ra exclaimed.

"Sorry." The ghost frowned, rubbing his arm awkwardly.

"It's fine, we're just glad you're ok." Mantha sighed.

"You missed a big announcement earlier, luckily Alder and Dash didn't notice you gone." The mummy added.

"Oh, thank goodness. I really didn't feel like being pulled into the office again…" Casper chuckled.

"Next time you go on a walk, take your phone. We were starting to wonder if something had happened to you." Mantha frowned.

Casper chuckled awkwardly. Oh, the things his friends didn't know. He should tell them…but not now, not tonight. He was tired, he wanted to go to bed.

The zombie sighed tiredly.

"Well, since I see you're back and safe, I better get to my room. Goodnight guys." She smiled and walked past Casper, and out the door.

Ra and Casper wished her a goodnight and she left. Soon after, Ra and Casper went to bed too. Or at least, Ra did. The ghost just laid in his bed, staring at the unused bunk above him, thinking about the events of today. About how he was almost dissected, and how he was mocked. He was sick of living like this…

He sat up and grabbed his phone off his desk. He pulled up his email and sent out one message to Wendy that simply read;

"Alright, I'll help."

I hope you all enjoyed X3 things are starting to go down now!
