Mostly because the older witches were aging out as well as combat losses these were taking their toll of the ranks. In an attempt to solve the problem The 555th Joint Fighter Wing was formed using Witches under ten years of age. Will these tiny witches be up to the challenge.

The world was used to Witches, Wizards existed as well. However, as their power is more specialized, they are generally engaged less than the average witch was. Lucas Petrov is a Warlock, the most powerful type of Wizard.
