Outside the building of the Grimwood's school; Lincoln was looking up in dread as he was watching the men that Colonel Calloway had hired to come and fix Grimwood's internet satelitte. Despite it being a school for ghouls; this was probably the most scared that he had been since coming to the school.
"Lincoln; why don't you go inside and find something to do. I don't think these gentleman like you watching them as if they were your personal executioners." Colonel Calloway suggested to Lincoln who sighed as he went inside; they were as good as to him.
Now he had no excuse to not have his next video call with his family...
Last one was interupted by the satellite being broken by the Calloway Cadets' ball...
Right in the middle of all of his sisters finding out about his girlfriends that he was relucant to let them know about...
He had called Clyde about it and he had sworn to secrecy along with their friends group as Lincoln had allowed him to tell them.
"Not like you could have kept it up for much longer Lincoln; I think very soon your parents would have figured out that my excuses for why you couldn't come to the phone were just that. Plus I was running out of believable ones anyway..." Shaggy told him as he entered, Shaggy playing along with Lincoln begging to stall any calls to his family. No doubt his sisters would want to take over from their end...
Lincoln sighed as he faced the audience and said "I was already dreading the next call anyway but it would be worse because I fear the girls here would want to have a 'talk' with them to give them a piece of their mind." He had made sure to use air quotes motions with his fingers as he said 'talk'. Lincoln sighed and said "3 days since the day I started cursing the guy that discovered the truth potion! Their reactions... Well truth be told it's the scariest that I had seen most of them and if they were on the video call with my sisters well... I think that they would try and somehow murder them through the call..."
"Could you really blame them Lincoln? Hearing about how you were treated by your own kin." Ms Grimwood told him as she was near where he was walking towards, hearing the story herself almost made her spill some of her own potion ingredients. Was the first time that Lincoln had seen her as anything but happy.
Actually surprised Lincoln was when he saw how protective of him they had all became...
Lincoln saw at the time that the free period was almost over so he began following Ms Grimwood to the next class. Lincoln sat down at his desk. "Students; before we start I want to let you know that by afternoon the internet should be fixed." Ms Grimwood informed them as Lincoln groaned into his desk. "I can see how excited you are by the news Lincoln." Ms Grimwood said.
"I am! It means in his next video call; we can introduce ourselves and warn them about how I am going to claw their faces!" Winnie said ready to howl out loud making Lincoln wince.
"I want to know why exactly they think it's right to treat Lincoln like that." Tanis frowned as she was most upset when Lincoln had told them the story; seeing the cute mummy girl like that was just heartbreaking for him.
"Lincoln's sister don't deserve him." Elsa said with the other girls nodding in agreement.
"I can ask my dad if he wants another house to haunt for a while." Phantasma looking like she was far from giggling as she usually did.
"I talked to Lori on that phone during that field trip... If I only knew what I do now..." Sibella muttered furiously with her arms folded.
"Come on girls please; cut them some slack..." Lincoln said and they all looked at him as if they didn't believe what he said. "I mean that things can be rough in the Loud House but... We all love and look out for eachother..." Lincoln said but they were skeptical.
"Would you say my daddy love and looked out for me if he kicked me out of the pyramid because of a curse?" Tanis brought up and Lincoln's face fell as he had no counter on that.
"Would you say that apart from that incident that things are fair and just for you?" Sibella asked deciding to let him try and make his case.
"Mostly yeah; we all have our squabbles and it's just that I end up getting on their bad side by accident quite a lot... Like the time I was trying to help Lisa fit in when she transferred to my class and it led to my sisters blaming me and I got kicked out of the van while it was moving... Why did I think that was a good example to bring up?" Lincoln answered and he was ready to kick himself mentally as he realised that only just raised their ire.
"I promise you that they do look out for me! They were all protective of me when they found out that I was being bullied." Lincoln said and he smiled as it seemed to clear the air.
"So they took care of this bully for you?" Phantasma asked and Lincoln winced and groaned at his reaction as this caught their attention.
"Well... They figured that the bully must have been picking on me because she liked me when they thought that she was a girl." Lincoln answered as this had eyes widening from them and even Ms Grimwood was looking incredulous.
"What?" Sibella and Phantasma asked incredulously at once and Lincoln wondered how exatly he was doing so badly at arguing right here. Usually he was quite good at making his points.
"... We made up and the girl is now a friend." Lincoln said his brain managing to figure out that to explain further about how it led to that point would only make their opinion of specifically Lori even worse.
Ms Grimwood ended up starting the class and in the middle there was a phone call which she went to get. She returned and said "Lincoln; that was your parents saying that due to plans of your family they won't be able to do the next video call."
Lincoln felt relieved and thought that perhaps luck is on his side now.
Soon came the weekend and Lincoln had went out to the cinema on a date with Sibella and Phantasma; the latest superhero blockbuster which was a good time for the three even if the ghoul girls weren't as into superheroes as their boyfriend. "I still find it weird their obession with future important plot points after the credits..." Sibella said as they reached the Calloway academy but at the gate were the Cadets ready and saluting as a certain van had parked outside.
They lookeded at them oddly as there was Ms Grimwood nearby, "I hope you three had a good time and don't mind all this. Colonel Calloway had a call saying that his retired military mentor was coming over to visit." Ms Grimwood explained as Lincoln's eyes widened when he recognised the man.
Calloway faced his students after greeting his guest coming out of the van, he then told them "Men of the Calloway Cadets; please show respect to the man whose rigerous training shaped me into who I am today. Be warned that he will not put up with any nonsense..."
"Pop-Pop!" Lincoln shouted running towards and ended up embracing Pop-Pop to the confusion of the Cadets and Calloway.
"Looks like you saved me the trouble of coming to see you myself; after I saw how Calloway drilled his students. Finding out that by some happy miracle that my favourite grandson's new school was next door." Pop-Pop said with Lincoln's girlfriends smiling and wanting to meet him personally while Calloway was muttering that for months he had his mentor's grandson next door without his knowledge.
"Happy to see you here Pop-Pop and... Is that Vanzilla..." Lincoln asked finally recognising the vehicle that he came in. Lincoln's eyes widened in horror as there coming out of the driver's seat was Lori who spotted Lincoln and gave him a face that clearly said that he was in for it.
They let go and Lincoln gulped much to Pop-Pop's confusion as there was Luna with a smile waving to Lincoln and a cheerful looking Leni.
"Linky! I have missed you so much! We never got to really talk last time because of Lori but we all came here with Pop-Pop!" Leni called taking Lincoln into a hug as he muttered that he missed her too. She then noticed Sibella and Phantasma coming closer as she let go.
"Hello; I'm Sibella and this is Phantasma. I take it that you are one of our boyfriend's sisters?" Sibella asked as Lincoln gulped realising that they had fake welcoming smiles.
"You must be Linky's girlfriends! I'm Leni and... Are those from the Daphne Blake Collection? I love her designs!" Leni asked looking to their hooded jackets for going out in the human public.
"Don't hug all the attention for yourself Leni." Luna said coming closer. "I'm Luna and I joked about my bro being a chick magnet at an all girl's school but it came true it seemed! Can't wait to hear about you." Luna said and at this moment Lincoln was certain that that the anticipation was going to kill him.
"How about I show you inside Sir and we can let your grandchildren get reacquainted." Calloway asked Pop-Pop as they went through the gates but then faced Ms Grimwood. "Ms Grimwood; when they are done do you think that you could show the Loud girls to the inside of my academy please?" Calloway asked her and she nodded as she felt that she had to keep watch out of fear as to what is going to happen.
"Glad we all can talk to you again Lincoln after the call got interupted; you know that our sisters were ready to fight about who got to call. We had been desperate for details on this little revelation but according to your gym coach you have been awfully busy since then." Lori told Lincoln sternly as she then faced the two ghoul girls.
"I'm Lori and we spoke already on my boyfriend's phone Sibella." Lori greeted Sibella as Lincoln then covered his face with his hands.
"We have heard a lot about you and your sisters from Lincoln since then." Sibella said before she and Phantasma allowed their looks to drop and were now glaring at the unsuspecting girls.
