The apartment building was old and run down, abandoned years ago after an earthquake ravaged parts of the town back when it was a part of the Soviet Union. It was a perfect hideout for the White Masks stationed there.
"Robert, get the C4 and gas canisters from the attic, and don't fucking drop them, understand?" A scarred White Mask ordered another.
"Fine, I'll get on it. Pass me the keys."
The scarred man pulled some keys out of his pocket and passed it to Robert, "Don't remember which one it is, so figure it out yourself, and make it quick, we'll be receiving orders to move out pretty soon."
"Yeah, I got it, thanks."
Robert exited the apartment and entered into the long, dusty hallway and made his way toward the elevator, as the level the attic was on was five floors above him, and he never takes the stairs. He made it to the elevator and called for it, tapping his foot and whistling during his wait. The few light bulbs hanging from the ceiling that were actually functional were barely so. Flickering often enough to keep the hallway dark, making the only light source the window right next to the elevator and Robert.
"Fucking A, is this shit gonna come down or what?"
Finally, the doors opened up, and he was greeted with a dirty, cockroach infested elevator.
"Fuckin' nasty, of all things, it had to be fuckin' cockroaches."
He got into the elevator, and pressed the button multiple times, and of course, the doors wouldn't close. He started smashing the button until it finally closed, and he sighed, "Fuckin Soviet elevators."
The elevator finally reached the floor the attic was in, and he exited and pulled out his keys.
"Which one is it, the fuck."
After several attempts, he finally managed to unlock the door with the correct key and entered into a dark room, he flipped an old switch to his left and illuminated the attic, revealing several containers of deadly gas and explosives.
"Finally, now how the fuck am I gonna take this shit down myself?"
Suddenly, a bullet went through his skull and he dropped dead immediately, splattering his brains all over the floor.
"Don't worry, we'll deal with that." an operator in the corner said in a British accent." One down upstairs in the attic. I have visual on the gas, over."
"Roger that, we're moving the rest of the team in now, secure those containers Thatcher, over."
"Copy, just watch out for Dokkaebi, yeah Thermite?"
"Heh, I see, no worries, she'll be fine, maybe. Over and out."
"What? Oi, Thermite! Damn bastard."
Thermite and Dokkaebi were right below the floor of the scarred man, waiting for their queue. They had just cleared the lower floors of hostiles with relative ease.
Thermite turned to look at Dokkaebi next to him, and chuckled, "You know, I think Thatcher's got a soft spot for ya."
"That old man has no soft spots, he's a damned brick wall." she retorted.
"Oh, yeah, sure. Alright! Enough foolin' around, let's go fuck these guys up. Glaz? You in position?"
"Yes, I have visual on the targets now, they should really close that window there." he said from the roof of another building, watching the living room window, "But I'm not complaining. I see their commander, Riley Tarret."
"Good, Fuze, you got your charge set on that kitchen window?"
"There won't be anything left." Fuze said while rappelling near the kitchen window.
"Then we're all set-" Thermite was interrupted by Glaz.
"Wait, it looks like Tarret's receiving a call. Dokkaebi, can you listen in on what their saying?"
"Of course, I can, I did receive a few upgrades to my gear since my last mission. Give me a second." she smirked.
And true to her words, only a second later, she managed to get ears on the phone call and everybody listened in on their earpieces.
"What the fuck do you mean Site 0 is gone? That place was hidden better than fucking El Dorado! Nobody even knows where the fuck it was besides God himself! How the fucking hell did the place where we first developed the gas get destroyed? By who?!
"Yeah, I received a message about the situation from Thorn himself. All he said was that it was gone, no one knows how, there weren't any survivors either."
"No... No fucking way. Thorn from the Upper Six?"
Thermite and Dokkaebi looked at each other with puzzled looks.
"Yeah, whoever did it is fucking psycho, we must be dealing with some pros here, man."
"Fuze, don't fire your cluster charge, just breach in through the window. Glaz, if you can, shoot Tarret's men, leave him alive, I think Six would be interested in this "Site 0"." Thermite ordered, "Me and Dokkaebi will go through the front door to say hello."
"Copy, opening fire."
"I'm getting the fuck out of here! If Site 0 is gone, then this place is fucked too!" Tarret yelled into the phone.
"You can't just give up now, we're so clo-."
Suddenly, the three men next to Tarret dropped dead, and his phone was shot out of his hand with inhuman accuracy.
Fuze burst through the window and gunned down a few others, and Thermite and Dokkaebi kicked down the door and finished off the last few.
"Shit!" Tarret shouted when he went to grab his pistol from the table to his right.
Glaz fired his sniper and hit Tarret's hand when it grabbed the firearm, and he dropped to the floor in pain.
"Shit, what the fuck, what the fuck. Who the fuck are you bastards?!"
Thermite walked over to him and said, "Jehovah's Witness." and knocked him out with the stock of his rifle.
"Wow, nice one." Dokkaebi rolled her eyes.
"What? I had to make something up on the fly, can't rehearse that shit in the middle of combat, now can I?"
"Maybe." she grinned.
"Oi! Thermite, you fuckin' twat!"
He turned and saw Thatcher walking towards him from the open doorway, "There you are Thatch, secured the containers?"
"I thought I told you to watch Dokkaebi ya little prick!"
"What are you talking about? She's fine!"
"Fuck she is, look!" he grabbed her wrist and lifted it up to Thermite's face, "Right, what's this then!?"
"A hand?"
"Ya fuckin' smart aleck, that's fuckin' blood!" He turned and faced Dokkaebi after putting her wrist down, "Why the fuck didn't you get some first-aid?!"
"It's not even my blood, old man!"
The room went silent but you could hear Fuze snickering under his mask.
"Fine, just make sure it doesn't end up being yours, understand?"
"Whatever, how about you just make sure you don't have a heart attack from the scary sounds of gunshots, yeah old man?"
"Heh, cheeky bastard. Now what was this ugly son of a bitch talking about? Some White Mask hideout? Site 0 he said?"
Thermite shrugged his shoulders, "Something like that. Hopefully we can learn more about it from Scarface here. Anyway, let's head back down and wait for the evac chopper."
"We're going to have to wait on that, I see some hostiles moving in from the north, several black SUVs and jeeps. From what I can see, we're definitely outnumbered." Glaz reported.
"Shit, they must be here for the gas, we're going to have to set up an ambush, use the element of surprise. Fuze, you still got your cluster charges, right?"
"We wouldn't be able to stand in this room if I didn't."
"You know what I mean. Glaz, the second they all get out of their vehicles, drop as many as you can. Dokkaebi, see if you can disable their cells so they don't call in reinforcements or let anyone else know they're under attack. And Thatcher, if any get inside, use your EMP grenade and darken the 6th floor. Fuze will place his cluster charges around that area and blow them to smithereens while they're blind. Any questions?"
Fuze raised his hand.
Thermite sighed, "No, Fuze. Leave the hostage alone.
Fuze lowered his hand.
"Alrighty then," Thermite cocked his shotgun, "Let's ring some ears."
