"Damn it! Let me in! I have to see him! I must make sure he's ok!" Twitch yelled.

"We only just stabilized him, Emmanuelle, you cannot go in now!" Doc blocked the door to the room Mozzie was held in.

"I have to make sure he-"

"He will make it, I promise Emmanuelle, but you're not in the greatest condition either, worry about yourself first and foremost!"

"But-"

"Twitch, Doc!" Harry yelled when he went around the corner of the hospital hallway, "I came as soon as I could! What's Mozzie's status?"

"We managed to stabilize him, but he's in a comatose state as of right now. Twitch wishes to see him, but I cannot allow that right now."

"Oh goodness. Twitch, is this true?"

"Yes Harry, he saved my life, I have to keep him company!"

"What you need to do is get your leg and lungs checked and make sure there won't be any serious complications." Doc interjected.

"How many times must I tell you I-"

"Twitch..." Harry put his hand on her shoulder, "Please, listen to Doc."

Twitch was silent for a few moments, and then whispered to Harry, "Okay."

"Good, now get yourself fixed up, yes?"

"Yes Six."

A few hours later, Twitch was lying in a hospital bed, unable to sleep after the events that had unfolded earlier. The doctors had operated on her and luckily, she will still have full use of her leg, though mentally it will take longer for her to heal. She blamed herself for what happened to Mozzie, and was unable to cope with his current condition. She could only stare at the ceiling and think about what had happened during the mission and pray that Mozzie recovers. Well, maybe not pray.

There was a knock at her door, and she said to come in. To her surprise, it was Harry holding a pot of flowers he got from a nearby shop.

"I hope I'm not intruding." he said to her.

"No, not at all. As you can see, I'm not doing anything right now, unfortunately. Are those flowers for me?"

"What? No, of course not."

They both stared at each other and then began laughing.

"You've worked hard today Twitch. It's the least I could do." He said as he placed the pot on a table next to her bed.

"How's Goose?" she didn't hesitate to change the topic.

"Ah, he'll be fine. He may be in that coma for the next few days, but he'll most likely survive. And Twitch, I didn't come here just to give you some flowers."

Twitch tilted her head in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"I'm going to give you some time off, two weeks recover."

Twitch was shocked, "What? I can't leave now! I-I have a job to do!"

"And you'll do that job after your vacation is over. You need this, trust me. Listen Twitch, I usually give people a choice in these sorts of matters, but this time, I'm ordering you. Have some time to yourself, I'll take you anywhere you'd wish to stay, I would suggest France as your family hasn't seen you in quite some time, but if you have somewhere else in mind, tell me."

Twitch knew there was nothing else she could have said to him that would have changed his mind, so she agreed to go back to France to visit her family.

"Excellent, I promise you'll end up feeling a lot better, same with Mozzie."

Although she was skeptical at first, now that she thought about it, perhaps going back to her home country would be beneficial to her.

4 days later

Twitch had gotten to France just yesterday, not too long after she was released from the hospital. She was very keen on visiting one of her relative's restaurants in Paris, the chef always liked her so she thought it would be a nice surprise. She had arrived at the airport by herself and didn't have very much luggage with her, so she was able to find a taxi quick after landing. While in the car, Twitch was still thinking about where she would stay for the duration of her vacation. Some hotel? Her parent's home? Old friend's home? She didn't want to be a burden on anyone, so she thought getting a hotel room wouldn't be a bad idea. Though, she did miss the home she grew up in with her sister and parents.

She was staring outside the window of the taxi when the driver asked, "Is this the place?" in French.

She snapped out of her trance and nodded her head and paid the driver. She exited the vehicle and saw the restaurant. The restaurant opened just 10 minutes ago, so there weren't any customers yet. There were tables outside the establishment near some beautiful flowers, and so she went across the empty street and sat at one of the outside tables. Inside, she saw a female chef speaking with one of the waiters, her eyes moved past the waiter and saw Emmanuelle waving at her.

The chef's eyes widened and she ran past the waiter, out through the door and hugged Emmanuelle, who had already stood up knowing what the affectionate chef would do.

"Emmanuelle!" she cried, "It's been too long! You have grown so much! I thought I would never see you again!"

"Jeanne, I'm glad to see you're still in business."

"Why of course! You know better than anyone how wonderful my dishes are! Oh! You must be starving! Anything you want, anything at all and I'll prepare it for you myself! You don't have to worry about paying! I could even make you your favorite soup!"

Twitch tried to contain her excitement, which she did well, but she couldn't stop a small smile from going across her face when Jeanne mentioned soup, "Well... I suppose I could stay a bit longer." she said.

"Excellent! Louis will be your waiter. Louis! Come give this woman a drink! She's a war hero!" Jeanne yelled, rushing back inside.

Emmanuelle chuckled and went to sit back at her table. It really has been too long since she's had Jeanne's premium bisque soup. For quite a while, she had to resort to surviving off the cafeteria food back at Hereford base. She was used to eating MREs, but Hereford was a whole other level of bad. Jeanne's food will revive her taste buds once more after years of eating nothing but the salted crackers they offered in the cafeteria, which was the only thing there that wouldn't make her puke, as it was just plain salt. There was no way they could screw up on crackers. Well, here's hoping.

Louis came outside and saw Emmanuelle at her table smiling at him.

"Oh, you... You are Emmanuelle? I have never seen such a beautiful soldier in my life! Ah, no, I mean... Sorry, Jeanne said not to... Ehh, never mind," he pulled out a pen, "was there anything else you wanted? Perhaps a drink or our new-"

"I wouldn't mind just a simple glass of water, thank you."

"Of course, no problem, I'll..." he paused.

"Louis?"

"Ah, sorry, but... I just remembered something strange earlier, quite a coincidence really, but it's nothing. Sorry, I get distracted easily."

"What do you mean it was a coincidence?"

"Well, a man came by a few hours earlier before we opened, and Jeanne told him to get the hell out, you know how she is, but the man insisted on asking her these strange questions. He asked if they were deeply acquainted with one of the Pichons, umm, your sister I believe? Sorry, I just thought it was coincidental how you came a bit later after he mentioned your sibling. I'll go get your water."

"Wait, was that all he had asked, Louis?" Emmanuelle, now very curious and suspicious, asked Louis, who started to blush.

"Let me... uhh... think. I was in the kitchen during the majority of their conversation, and I had only heard your sister being mentioned when I came out. But that was his last question before Jeanne pulled out her frying pan. But I think I heard them mention GIGN and... a lady named Charlotte? Their conversation was muffled by the walls of the kitchen and I didn't want to eavesdrop, I'm sorry. It was probably a ten-minute talk, so maybe he asked more."

"Charlotte?" Emmanuelle whispered. She was now very concerned, "Did he mention who he was? Or did he not introduce himself?" she asked.

"I'm not sure, you will have to ask Jeanne about that."

And just then, Jeanne came out with a bowl of soup and put it on the table, "I hope you and Louis are getting along, yes? Louis can be quite nervous when he's around-"

"Jeanne, why didn't you tell me someone came here earlier asking questions about my sister and niece?"

"Hmm? Oh, that guy? I just thought he was a weirdo, so I didn't bother giving him much attention. Wait, who told you about that?"

"I need you to tell me if he told you his name, Jeanne please."

Jeanne could see that Emmanuelle was serious about this, and so replied, "He came in asking these strange questions, but didn't bother telling me anything about him. He did leave me this piece of paper that I was about to throw away, but forgot to. In fact, I think I may still have it in my..." she reached into her left pocket, "aha! Here!"

She handed her a crumpled piece of paper and Emmanuelle looked over it. Her heart stopped when she read its contents.

"Come visit Charlotte, Aunt GIGN."
