"Would you be mad if I tried to kiss you?~" Those words keep echoing inside Shirou's brain while he tries to understand the situation he currently finds himself in, Michiru was facing him while sitting on his lap, her legs gently holding his waist as well as her arms sliding around the fluffy neck of the wolf. The scent of the girl was filling every inch of his nose and brain, for some reason the scent her human form had was driving him crazy and he wasn't sure if he hated it or loved it, slowly his arms seemed to move on their own, holding the girl's shoulders to which she only smiled. "Is the big wolf afraid of a little human girl?" She felt how the guy almost whined after her voice tickled his ears as a small grunt left Shirou's throat because of how easy she was toying with him. "Well, it's a shame I have to go to bed, too bad there is no bed in this room."
And with this, she got up and after picking the papers the now once more tanuki girl, left the room not without turning to look at the wolf who was still petrified, sending him a teasing wink, leaving him with a lot of questions inside his head but the two that made more noise was. 'Why did she do that? Did she mean it?' He stared at his hands, the sweet yet intoxicant scent of her body was still strong on them, he found himself drooling a bit so he quickly turned back into human, covering his mouth. "W-was i...actually excited?" He indeed was and his heart still fought to burst out of his chest till the point he was sure it would run behind the girl if that was possible, he was an adult goddammit, he shouldn't have fallen for her game, but yet again would he have been mad if she actually dared to kiss him? He told himself he would but something deep inside wanted her to actually do it.
"Stupid brat, next time she will learn a lesson." He rubbed his eyes making his way to the couch to lay down on it when the realisation of his words made him show a small smile. "Next...time?" Yes, he was sure there was gonna be a next time, but how would he react that time? He once more felt like a teenager for a moment and the mixture of michiru scent, voice and his own adrenaline allowed him to smile a bit wider, it's been so long since he felt this way. Then he realized how easy it was for her to break through his walls till the point now he was regretting that his body froze. Slowly his body begins to feel heavy as his eyes close by themselves thanks to the fact the adrenaline rush was over by now, catching the silhouette of something near him. As for the tanuki, she was in her room with the door closed and her back pressing against the wall, panting as she held her chest where her heart was pounding trying to break free. While her free hand gently strokes her lips, biting the lower one. 'What the fuck was i thinking? OMG what did I plan to do?' Her body felt as if it was on fire, she was thinking of teasing the wolf by sitting on his lap but when she did, something inside her took control and began to guide her actions till she was able to get back to her senses playing along till she basically escaped the room. She had never EVER done anything like that, she was basically flirting with Shirou and was all over him so she was confused and she hated it. She didn't know where such an idea had come from, let alone why she felt so inclined to tease Shirou. All she knew was that it felt oddly satisfying and exhilarating.
She took a deep breath before releasing a long sigh, climbing on her bed covering her head with the blankets, trapping the scent of shirou that was stuck to her clothes. Slowly her mouth opened as a hot breath escaped her lips finding herself panting again, her body felt even warmer than before and it only seemed to grow more intense with every touch between her skin and the blankets. "This...isn't normal I need….to cool down…" Feeling her legs a bit numb she got up, walking down to take a shower as she tried to don't fall down, since it was late she didn't want to bother anyone by turning the lights on.
Once inside she proceeded to take off her clothes, her body appears to get calmer now and when the cold water began to cover her she couldn't help but to sigh, she usually hated cold showers but she had to admit that this time she was very pleasant because of this. Now that she took some time to relax she remembered how she still had to fill the papers for tomorrow, so she better woke up early to do it before breakfast, after all she was told to take this as serious as it was, the sound of the door opening made her jump. "I'm sorry i am taking a shower right now." She said guessing it was either Gem or Melissa, but the voice that answered it was not other than shirou. "I know, I could hear it from my room, that's why I came." Now it was her time to freeze in place while staring at the door that separates the shower from the rest of the bathroom and when she noticed Shirou trying to reach for the door she ran to hold it close. "W-what can i help you with?!" Her intention of sounding normal failed miserably since panic was the only thing on her voice.
"Well, if you want to know i'll need to open the door." His voice, god that dang voice made her whole body shiver causing her to lose her grip on the door at the time shirou opened, staring at her in his beastman form. "I didn't expect you to still be human but i don't mind that." Her embarrassment only grows more when she notices how the wolf proceeds to lick his lips walking closer to her, she instinctively begins to back up. "S-shirou w-what is it? W-what are you doing?"
"Well, you see." His hand didn't have its characteristic glove so she would feel his touch on her cheek at the time she instinctively leaned on the caress. "You made the first move, now it's my turn isn't it?" She opened her eyes surprised by his words but before any word could form on her mouth, she was silenced by the wolf pressing his own lips on hers and it was something michiru did not expect but like before her arms got around his neck. 'I feel as if i was his prey and i love it…' Was what she thought while her lower lip was bitten and her body was raised from the wet floor, she found herself trying to take Shirou's typical sweeter off. "Hey….it's not fair if you don't take it off too…" The wolf chuckle, moving to nibble her neck causing her to close her eyes, this was real? 'I never thought he would make this, it feels like….a dream!'
She then jumped out of bed, looking around noticing she was still at her room, the sun was making its way on the horizon, her face went red and the only thing she could do was to bite her pillow while screaming as low as she could. One thing was sure, she started something and even if that was only a dream, now she wanted something like that to happen. 'Nazuna can't know about this, she will use it against me.' She turn her head to the small desktop in her room and with a lazy manner she sits on the chair, filling the papers.
Melissa always enjoyed cooking breakfast even when younger since she felt it help her and those who eat to start the day with energy and on a good mood, before it was only her husband who enjoy it, then Shirou join them and now Michiru, the wolf always felt like a friend in some matter but with Michiru she actually felt like her mother even if she knew the girl had a mother already. But the girl brought such a good vibe to the house that it was almost impossible to feel happy around her or thats what she thought, but right now the wolf and the tanuki seemed to avoid each other gaze as if they had fight before, she would find it odd but comprehensible on someone the age of michiru but even shirou seemed to avoid making eye contact with the girl. 'I just hope they don't fight over something silly.'
"Hey Michiru, what happened about finding a job with the police yesterday? Did you succeed?" Gem asked after noticing how his wife seemed disturb about the silence in the what, both Michiru and Melissa seemed grateful. "Ah, yes, actually I got some papers to fill so I could join them. Mister Tachiki was so kind to explain it to me, though I never had fun filling papers so it was a bit hard to finish them last night." She gives Shirou a shy look to what he seems to ignore but his ears movement reveals the truth. "Anyway, uhm, I should probably hurry so I can get the papers, after all I must be responsible from now on." With this she finished her breakfast and after cleaning her dishes she was quick to run out the room. "Thanks for the meal!"
The room remained in silence for a few minutes before Gem was the first one to speak. "So, are you gonna share why you two were so awkward this morning Shirou?" Again, there was silence in the room as the cockerel kept staring at the wolf while crossing his arms, the usual kind Gem Horner was actually demanding an answer, this surprised his wife but for Shirou it was only annoying. "It's nothing, there was." He took a moment. "A misunderstanding last night, i'll talk to her." Getting up he took his dishes and washed them before walking to the door. "Shirou." He froze half way outside.
"You can ask for our advice anytime." With a nod he leaves the married couple. "What do you think happened?"
"Well, we know Shirou from a long time ago and since Michiru lives here he has changed, as we talk before, however I think there is something deeper happening here, maybe they have something going on between them?" Gem stared at Melissa with a puzzled expression. "You don't think that they?"
The woman shrugs with a slight smile. "Who knows, they are young. Tho i just hope they take precautions." This was a bit concerning for the less, even if they respect their privacy, for some reason they were concerned.
Meanwhile the wolf was walking to the police station to see if Michiru finished the papers last night since he was sure there was a bit to fill after what she did, bringing that to his mind made him stop as a hand covered his mouth, thinking. Even with how tired he felt last night, he kept waking up feeling his getting hot as he felt the urge to run behind the girl and take her, this thought continue till the girl appeared next to him and he could tell what she was thinking by the look on her eyes and this only fuel the feeling on his chest. With care he took her hand as she climbed on the couch, laying over his chest as his hands began to hold her waist refusing to freeze like before but as soon as he did, he woke up over and over again. 'Stupid girl, i couldn't really have any sleep last night because of her and i wont be able to use the couch tonight.'
Once he was able to see the police station he couldn't help but to notice a long line of people waiting to go inside, this was a bad thing so he hurried to go inside as those in line tried to use that chance to go behind him but were stopped by the police. "Hey, what is going on here, did something happen in the city?" He was worried and between all the noise he couldn't catch anything till someone hold his sleeve pulling him to an office where Tachiki was waiting him and just now he realize that michiru was the one brought him there, she was using a uniform with a huge smile and shirou got lost for a moment till the old man called his name. "Relax Ogami, there is nothing wrong happening today, we let the city know about the applications for the police force and a lot of people seemed interested, right now we are trying to keep order, that's why our new cadet help me bringing you here." He smiled pointing to the girl who saluted him. "Yeah, it's been busy since I came in, so I have been giving papers for them to read and explaining." She explained as the wolf sighs, it was not even 11 in the morning and once more his future seems busy, but as he continues to listen to the explanation he couldn't help to give another look to the tanuki girl. "So basically all of this beastman want to join the police, am I right? Do they know about the new program?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
"I don't think so, that's up to the mayor, but i suppose a lot of people want to do something." He explained, drying his forehead after reading a few applications. "For now I would suggest making a patrol around the city, it's still early so we would be on time for any surprise." The wolf nodded before walking to the door. "Michiru '' The girl looked at him waiting for his words, a bit nervous. "You look good." And then he was gone but behind him a happy girl was left, but this wouldn't last because she knew that this time she was not able to go with him. "Okey michiru, it's time to start working, usually you would get proper training but since you have been working with Shirou and us, we can skip that part. follow me." What she will do today was a mystery but one thing was sure for her, this would be funny or that's what she thought.
The rest of the day she helped everyone to receive papers, guide people inside the offices and keep some kind of order, often looking through the window, he wanted to go out but she tried to understand. "Michiru, we need some help here!" Someone called as she ran, morphing her arms to split a group that went a bit annoyed with each other. "Okay, now, no fighting, we have to be an example for the citizens, no fighting on the station." Some grunt and look away as a few nodded with silly faces as a girl waved her hand to catch some attention. "Excuse me officer, i was trying to explain that i got the papers yesterday, i was told to bring them today." With a nod she offered her hand to get the papers, giving them a look to check it was all done. "Okay then, it seems like everything is in order, we will contact you later or tomorrow morning."
"Cool, then I'll go for something to eat, we will be in touch then." By the time every civilian left, it was already 3 pm and everyone was tired. "Well, it's been a while since we were THIS busy without anything serious occuring on the city." An officer explained as everyone got a cold drink including MIchiru. "This wasn't what I had in mind to be honest." She sighs. "Well, Anima City is a smaller city, so besides explosives and beastman going crazy it's mostly calm, that and the anti-beastman's but they had been calm too."
"I still can't believe that part, but then what do you guys do most of the time?"
"Well, make some patrols, regular thiefs, you know, the usual stuff." The girl stared at the drink before looking up, Gabu was looking at her. "Hello again, that certainly was fast, welcome to the team." He smiled pointing to the door. "You see, that happened a long time ago, but there was only dog beastman's interest." Her ears moved gently, very interested in hearing some more. "I believe because society has made a common idea of dogs being part of the police and so we beastman's do the same. It's very reassuring how many people want to help."
"Well it's their city too, after all, after what had been happening it makes this old man happy to see they are not that afraid." Tachiki explained. "This way i might be able to retire in a few more years. Anyway, Michiru, you mentioned you wanted to be part of the Nirvasyl team isn't it?" The tanuki couldn't help but to feel sad at the mention of the name. "Ehm, sorry sir but do you think it's a good idea using that name?" She felt the urge to explain her concern but it wasn't her secret to tell, but the answer made her feel confused. "It was Ogami's idea, he mentioned that it would be a tribute for that ancient city, a way of using the name for something good, instead of fear for the syndrome."
This still left her with some questions, but then two officers walked to her. "Well, since we are free now, let's go and patrol near the center, a lot of wallets get lost in that area all the time. Just remember, you are new so you must only watch."
"Fine, i won't intervene." She mumbled before getting in the police car.
Shirou was checking the docks where the mafia use to make deals, using his nose he tried to catch any scent that could give a clue about the new drugs, but there was nothing, it seems as if the scent was cleaned away and others took its place and this could only mean one thing, whoever it was selling them, they knew about him. This brought something else to the board, if they knew about him and were actively trying to hide their footprints it means they were not regular drug dealers, they were profesional. "Oh, it is you, isn't it Ogami?" He turns around to face one of Flip's subordinates. "You are with Flip isn't it? What are you doing here?" He didn't try to hide his annoyance but after remembering the tanuki he tried to relax.
"It's about that new drug that is on the market, it's really dangerous so our boss told us to keep an eye on the docks for any intrusion, however it's not as easy as you think."
"What do you mean?" He could tell it was a problem. "Well, these guys are really profesional, like, really really good, it seems they brought a big cargo and it's been 2 weeks since they returned but there is nothing out of order here." He took a pause. "Well, maybe only this, look." Taking his phone out he showed a pic of what seemed to be humans unloading boxes and after they finished a bright light could be seen. "Wait what was that?"
"We don't know, but whatever it was, it fried the cams."
'It doesn't seem like a grenade or an explosion, what was that.' He begins to think before looking at the man in front of him again. "Then it would be wise to think I could count with Flip's help on the matter? Or this is something he wants to do alone?" The second scenario was concerning, if Flip wanted to take this on his hands it would eventually lead to a clash between the police and the mafia, even if Flip helped him and the police against Alan, this doesn't mean they were pals or anything. "About that I don't know much, but I was told to tell you that the boss indeed wants to talk with you and the mayor if it's possible."
"With the mayor you said?" This was really strange since Giuliano Flip never seemed interested in politics. "Okay, I'll see what I can do and I'll be in contact, but for now you must know, these guys are erasing any scent they leave, maybe that flash has something to do with it, be aware that they might use lethal force." After this they took different directions, both thinking on what they just got told, quickly he pulled his phone to dial the number of Rose, who took a few minutes to answer. "Ogami? What is it?" "I just checked the docks, it seems the group of Flip it's also concerned and they are making some investigation on their own so it appears he wants to talk with you."
"That it's really….unexpected, but yet again he showed he cares for the city. Okay, I'll program a meeting but it will probably be after the meeting with the prime minister, I hope he understands that." The wolf couldn't help but to smirk. "Well, he might don't like it but there isn't much we can do right now about that." After hanging out he stared at the water, the sky reflected on its surface, now with michiru on the police he at least was sure she wouldn't be in constant danger, of course this meant they wouldn't be able to work as a team for the nearby time. 'Well, at least the training will be easier that way.' He thought and then began to walk to the next area he was interested in research but in the same place he was standing, there was a group or figures staring at him.
"Are you sure it will be a good idea?" One of them sounded unsure.
"I am sure, it's the only way."
Nothing, he tracked the places where the tiger, bull and the other drug consumers were to find any clue but as before, it seemed as if they got the reaction after a few dosis, it wasn't something instant and it didn't lead to a place where the drug could be found. 'The drug itself has a really light scent and i can't get a hold on it.' It was annoying but since it had something to do with the silvasta family, maybe the research alan made had some notes about that, they had to investigate that information too, but even if the mayor had now the control on the Pharmaceuticals, it's not like they could just research it since rose was slowly implementing more rules and laws to give the city more order and a better structure. This is what he was thinking when his nose caught a sweet scent, turning around to see michiru and other two cops walking around asking some questions, he began to walk away but before he noticed, he was following them in silence. "Hello ma'am, good afternoon, we are looking for clues involving mister ikki."
"Ah, you mean ikki the tiger isn't it? I hope he is okay, I heard he lost control a few days ago." Michiru nodded without saying more. "Yes, I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about him. Did his behaviour change in the last weeks or did he meet with someone inusual?"
"Mmm, not really, no, he was a good guy and even if he was a bit explosive he always helped the kids. You see, he lost his daughter and wife before coming to the city, so we all basically became his family." The old lady took a moment to show a picture on her phone. "See? He was kind to a tiger, he never showed his claws around kids. But unfortunately I don't recall anything weird about the past." "I see, well, thank you for your time ma'am, stay safe and remember to inform us if anything happens." With a bright smile she went to the next person near them, Shirou was impressed on how easy it was for her to interview everyone.
"Hey, I know you!" A femenine voice made her and Shirou turn their heads around to find it was the woman from before, she walked closer waving a hand. "Hey I remember you, you were on the station. You live around here?" Shirou ears twitched, did she really know her? He moved closer for a better hearing spot. "Yeah, that's why I ran to the station. I knew the old ikki, we were friends." "Ah, I'm sorry then, it must be hard to know what has happened to him."
The lion girl shrugs before looking at the street. "Well, yeah it's hard but it's not like he is dead yet, when he gets better i will kick his ass!" She then transformed to her beast form roaring and making shirou transform too, quickly pulling michiru to his chest as he growled to the lioness fiercely like a wild animal. "S-shirou!?" The tanuki felt his face glowing by the suden proximity to the wolf but there was also a question in her mind. 'What is he doing here?' Rising her face he noticed how fiercely he growled and when he felt her movement he embraced his hold on her. 'Is he...protecting me?'
"Wo! Hey calm down wolf boy, everything is fine." The woman returns to her normal form raising her arms to show she means no harm to anyone. "Thats just something i do when i get mad to that stupid tiger, i wasn't gonna do anything to her." The other two officers began to come closer and this made Shirou more nervous, turning his head to the sides to growl at them too. This caused Michiru to feel a bit worried since she had seen him like this before. Shirou himself wasn't aware of what he was doing as his eyes could only see red, the scent of michiru on his nose urging him to make sure no one got closer, but then a gentle caress on her cheek made him look down at the girl who was human once more. "Hey partner, shirou they are not gonna hurt me, you know the officers remember? It was a misunderstanding." Slowly his throat stopped producing sounds, his expression relaxed as he stared at the girl and with a soft, almost scared voice asked her one question. "You sure you are not hurt?..."
Her eyes opened a bit more, looking at the people around them but had to nuzzle on the fur on his neck to calm him enough. "Yes, Shirou, I am okay, no one hurt me, you can relax." The wolf then proceeded to let her go but he did it unsure. The liones with precaution get closer still with her arms in the air. "Now, let's do this again, i am Yoko, it's a pleasure, tho i wish it was on better terms." She joked as the wolf returned to his human form, grunting a bit. "Yeah, sorry about that." He tried to move away but Michiru kept his arms around her with a smile. "Well, I am michiru, it's a pleasure and this big guy here, it's shirou. He is my partner."
Shirou gently tried to free his arms but Michiru wouldn't budge so he grunt letting her.
"Oh! He is that wolf that's always around the police? Like when the bombs on the festival, right? I thought you would be older." She smiled but the wolf was not amused by this. "Yeah well, I guess the fur is tricky sometimes, he is 26." He raised an eyebrow since no one actually mentioned his age and michiru had actually told the age his body stopped at. "Anyway, I suppose I should go back to my job, I am an officer after all." She slowly walked back to the other officers while Shirou stared at them before also walking away, hearing the lioness made him remember Elsa, the girl who worked with Gram Grandma and how she tried to choke michiru making him act without thinking. 'I think I'm getting crazy.'
'He is weird, I hope i don't have to socialize with him.' Yoko thought as she looked, everyone left.
After going back to the station, Michiru and the officers had to wrote their reports and this was a torture for the young girl but she was instructed on how to do them so it was a bit easier, it wasn't as the homework at school but it need to be very detailed. "Okay, it's official i hate paperwork." She growled but keep typing on the computer since she got one and a desk, she was planning on getting a lot of stuff for her work place in the next few days. "Hey newbie, how is that report going?" Without stopping watching the monitor she answered, been one of the officers that guided her before. "Well, i guess it's going fine? I mean I don't know if it's enough information, may you check it Katsumoto?" He smiles, bringing a chair with him, sitting down next to her. "Okay let me see." He cleared his throat before reading.
"It seems the victim named ikki was someone known very well by his neighbours, being a kind and calm person in general, having the usual explosive attitude but helping those around him even the kids, he lost his family thanks to the beastman hunters which could be a possible reason for him to use the drug. However nothing on his usual routine seemed to change in the last couple of weeks and even before the accident he remained normal. Probably someone that knew him offered the contact for the drug dealer, however maybe they contacted him directly." He stopped scratching his chin. "It 's not bad? But usually you need some more information, for your first time I think it will be enough." He then read once more about his family. "Man that has to be though, if i lost my kids and wife i would be broke."
Michiru saved and sent the file, staring at the glass, she took a moment to remember what the neighbours told her about him, even if he was indeed broke inside he always kept helping others just as shirou who lost everything and everyone thanks to the silvasta family and the pass of the time. "Katsumoto, could you tell me why he would continue helping others even if he was so sad? I get why everyone would help others, but how did he continue after so much?" Her superior looked at her, she clearly had someone else in mind but he didn't want to invade her life for now.
"For the sake of saving one person, you see michiru, this job is not always as easy as you would think, when we go outside, we risk our lives and even worse, the lives of others depend on us." A young woman walks behind them joining the conversation. "When we go out, we must do it with one idea, little girl, we must be ready to give everything to save one person, just one. That's our job, but don't forget to care about you too." She thought about putting his life on the line but the image of a wolf getting in front of her came to her mind. "I think I get it, thanks, I am a bit clumsy but I hope I will do a good job with all of you."
"You better, i can't have one of the few girls on the force doing a bad job you know?" This might be a good place to work, but she knew it wouldn't always be like this, after all she was gonna be part of the nirvasyl team, but for today it seems she was done. "Uhm, I think my shift is over for today, so i'll be leaving. I'll see you all tomorrow." She walks to the exit where, leaning on the wall, shirou expect her. "Hey, I thought you were gonna be late, lets go." He turned around walking without waiting for her, she smiled and was fast to catch him, looking at him. "Hey you, what happened today? You were so angry." "It was nothing, forget it."
"Oh come on, tell me, you were really clinching to me you know?~" She teases, leaning on his side waving her tail. "...the lioness.." He mumbled, she leaned a bit more. "Yeah? What is with yoko?"
"...She made me remind that one, Elsa was her name, she tried to choke you and sell the kids with that rabbit old woman." She remembers that very well, Shirou didn't act to stop them till he had proof but after that he was always quick to do something. "Shirou, I told you I can take care of myself if it's not a monster, don't worry okey?"
He showed a smile as the rest of the path was quiet, they kept walking close to each other, each one thinking on different things, the girl thinking on the investigation they were doing as the wolf thought on the tanuki, he kept refusing what he already knew. "We will be training when you are not at work, you need to get stronger." "But I can always use my powers to-" She was interrupted.
"What if for some reason you can't use them or think fast enough to transform? You need to be strong enough to fight someone with your own hands, michiru." He explains, opening the door of the co-op, letting her go inside before holding her hands once more, trapping her on the wall, by the surprise she tried to free herself, his face a few centimeters away. "If you have to fight or free yourself from someone's grip, you need to be strong." His nose tickled, turning into a wolf as he leaned a bit more, his cold nose gently rubbing her neck, his mouth beginning to drool. She kept trying to free her arms but slowly putting less effort, once more their eyes met and he could feel something on her eyes, asking a question over and over again. 'would you be mad if i kiss you?' He stared at her lips, she had a half smile while biting her lower lip, but when she licked them he moved closer till the point she could feel his breath over them.
"Michiru...you have to…" Her hands began to explore his chest, a strong musk began to fill her nose and she couldn't help but to smile and pull him closer, shirou body was now pressing against her not bothering to think if gem or melissa were at home. "Shirou i need…." Her voice sounded seductive, like honey on his ears, her claws gently trying to rip his shirt, then a thought crossed his mind. "Heat" Their lips barely touch, allowing them to taste the other one and after taking a deep breath he slowly step back. "I...should get a shower, it was a hot day...im all sweaty…" She nodded, turning human since her body felt hot and it itched on every place.
"To….tomorrow we will start training early…" He spoke, looking at her who was walking upstairs to her room. "Okey...night Shirou." She seemed disappointed but at the same time, relief.
Once in the shower Shirou stayed under the cold water, looking down at his body blushing at how his body betrayed him, he couldn't deny it, he wanted to. He need her, he still could taste her lips, he couldn't not wanted to play dumb anymore. "I am...attracted to her." Maybe, he still refuses on some level but no one could blame him. His reaction with the lion and the tiger, he wanted to protect at any cost and this would probably grow stronger since he was also sure she was on heat, he needed Melissa to explain that to the girl in the morning. It was dangerous to have a young girl without experience with the heat cycle walking around the city.
