Natalie is my OC I've been putting together in my head for quite some time. I wanted to add her to this book for at least one chapter, I might bring her in again but I'm not sure.
"Were you able to get her?" Wheeljack asked Arcee.
"I was," Arcee responded with a smile.
"That's great!" Bumblebee exclaimed, "How is she?"
"She says she's doing good. She's on an Island with Steeljaw but he hasn't hurt her."
"That's a relief," Bumblebee says feeling very relieved to know his Cadet is alright.
"Did you tell her that we're working on getting the ground bridge up and running again?" Wheeljack asked.
"I did and she said that she can't wait to see us both again."
Wheeljack smiled at her as his spark overfills with joy, they're gonna get their daughter back and make their family whole once more.
Fowler looks down at Brendon, he can't help but feel sympathy for the young man. He would probably be the same way if he was raised by a cruel man who didn't love him. Fowler sits down next to him and pats him on the shoulder, "I know I've been harsh with you but what you did was wrong," he pauses as he lets out a sigh, "I will never understand what you went through with your uncle but just know that I'm here if you want someone to talk to," it feels weird consoling a man who was his enemy not too long ago but he's giving it a shot anyway.
Brendon growls as he jerks his shoulder away from his hand, he hates nothing more than to get someone's sympathy and be treated like a charity case.
"Well isn't this sweet. You two should hold hands and run through a field of flowers."
The two guys look up to see a young woman with tan skin, a T-shaped scar on her left cheek, and long black hair. Fowler rolled his eyes at her sarcastic remark, "Nice to see you again too, Natalie."
Natalie smiles at him, "It's been a while, Agent Fowler. How have you been?"
"I've been good, no complaints. Why are you here?"
"I'm here with the MPs to pick up Brendon," she says as she looks over at the man.
Brendon looks up at her as he remembers everything he's read about this woman. His uncle has written a lot of stuff about her, about his encounters with her, their fights, everything. His uncle had basically become obsessed with this woman, the one person he could never defeat. Silas hated her guts because she always ruined his operations and would put a stop to any projects he would be working on. He wanted her dead and tried many times to kill her but she always ended up getting the upper hand, mostly thanks to the Autobots.
"The bots are in a room that way," Fowler says as he points in the direction that the Autobots went, "I can take Brendon to the MPs if you want to go say hi. I'm sure you haven't seen or talked to them in a long time."
Natalie nodded and walked off in the direction Fowler pointed to. As she got closer to the room she could hear them talking and she smiled, though she felt a small pain in her heart knowing that she wasn't gonna see Optimus among them. She really misses him but she's proud of him for doing what he did. She pushes away the feeling as she enters the room.
"Hey, we need to talk! You guys come back to Earth after all this time and you don't even bother to drop by and say hi!?"
All the 'Bots look down in confusion until they see her and they smile, "Hey Natalie. How are you?" Bumblebee asked with a big smile.
"I'm good! It's been a long time."
"Sorry, we never came to say hi, stuff came up that we had to take care of first," Arcee said.
"I had to find out that Bumblebee was here by watching the surveillance cameras from the museum that showed 'Bee and his team rodeoing a Cybertronian buffalo. Raf's gonna be hurt to know that you were here and never went to see him."
"Sorry, we got caught up trying to capture Decepticons I completely forgot."
"We only came to Earth to look for Strongarm," Arcee added.
"Your sparkling right? Is that the right word?" Natalie asked.
"Yes, our sparkling."
"How are the kids doing?" Bulkhead asks.
"What kids?"
"Jack, Miko, and Raf," Bumblebee responds.
"Again, what kids? They're all grown adults now," Natalie says with a smile, "They're doing good, they're now working with me and helping me keep track of alien activity as well as working with the military. I've been training Miko and Jack in hand-to-hand combat while Raf enhances his knowledge of computers, the military really respects his knowledge of computers and uses him for a lot of work."
Arcee, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead smiled at hearing about how much their partners had accomplished and how far they had come. They really do want to see them again, maybe when they finish here they will.
"Who's the human?"
Natalie and the 'Bots turn in the direction of the voice and see Fracture and Thunderhoof standing there. Natalie raises an eyebrow, "So what's with the Decepticons?"
"They're criminals. After the war ended some Decepticons turned good but most of them turned to a life of crime. So Autobots had to become cops to catch them and lock them away," Bumblebee responded.
"Ah. So like cops and robbers."
"Pretty much," Bumblebee said with a shrug.
"Did you two want something?" Ultra Magnus asks with a raised optic ridge.
"Was just curious about this human you all seem to know so well," Facture says with a smile.
"She's an old friend," Magnus says.
Bumblebee puts his servos on his hips as he glares at the two, "You two better not think of trying to do something to her. Trust me, she's not the human to mess with."
"Easy officer, just wanted to let you know that your doctor friend has arrived," Thunderhoof says with his servos up.
"Ratchet's here!?" Natalie asked with excitement before she ran out of the room.
All of the Autobots except for Ultra Magnus laughed, "I have to see this reunion. Natalie always did love teasing Ratchet," Arcee said as she started walking out of the room, the others followed her.
When Natalie saw Ratchet she grinned mischievously, "Hello handsome! Come here often!?" She shouts as she walks closer to him.
Ratchet looks down at her, "Natalie! When will you stop that teasing!?"
"Probably never. You're just too fun to tease Ratch."
Ratchet rolled his optics but he couldn't stop the smile from forming on his face, he refuses to ever admit it to her but he really missed hearing her teasing, "It's nice to see you again Natalie."
Natalie gave him a thumbs up, "Nice to see you again too, oldie," she then laughed as he rolled his optics again.
"If you'll excuse me I need to get to work fixing up these two."
"Sure thing, I need to get going anyway," Natalie says as she starts walking towards the exit, "Was nice seeing you all again! I'll try to stop by some time with Miko, Jack, and Raf and we can have a proper reunion!"
"You do that, we'll look forward to it!" Bumblebee shouts back to her as they say bye to her and she runs out.
"It was nice to see a friendly human face," Arcee says as she walks over to Ratchet.
"It was," the rest of the 'Bots agreed.
"Need some help Ratchet?" Arcee asked him.
"You know you're always free to help me, Arcee," Ratchet responds as he gets to work on Grimlock.
"When you finish with these two we could use your help with fixing up a ground bridge, Ratchet," Smokescreen tells him.
"Alright."
Knockout looks at Sideswipe laying on the berth, all surgeries and repairs are done and he's just waiting for him to wake up. He checks his vitals to make sure everything is still good, once he sees that everything is just fine he turns to look at him again. Never in his life did he imagine that he would have to do surgery and try to save his own son's life, he never imagined that he would even have a son.
After he lost Sunfire he didn't think he could ever love again, but then he got close to Breakdown and started getting feelings for him. When Breakdown was killed by Airachnid Knockout swore that he would never love another bot ever again, he wasn't sure if he could handle it.
But then he met Smokescreen, there was something about him that just really captured his spark. The way he was constantly putting up a fight and never giving in while they were holding him prisoner, and the smugness he had when he took the phase shifter away from him leaving him trapped in the wall was just too adorable. He will always be grateful to Arcee for helping him get close to the mech.
It took some time to win him over but it was worth it when he finally did. When he sparkbonded with Smokescreen he felt like the happiest mech ever. When Smokescreen told him he was sparked he was shocked at first and uncertain if he even wanted to be a sire, but the idea grew on him and he decided to be happy about it, especially since it was with the love of his life. When Sideswipe was born he loved him in an instant. Knockout couldn't have been prouder than he was when he found out that Sideswipe was on Bumblebee's team and helping him capture Decepticons.
Knockout scoffs at the irony of it. He's an ex-'Con being proud of his Autobot son capturing Decepticons. That's really humorous, but it's true. And when he got the news that his son was severely injured to the point of being almost offline, he felt that same pain in his spark as he did when he lost Sunfire and Breakdown. Now he's sitting here hoping his son will wake up and he won't have to go through the pain of losing another bot he cares about. Two bots in fact.
Knockout knows that Smokescreen would just offline along with Sideswipe because he wouldn't be able to live with the pain of losing his son. Being a medic for so long he knows that carriers have a bigger bond with the sparklings than the sires do because sparklings form and begin to grow in the carriers' spark chamber, connecting the two together in a lifelong bond. So it is known for carriers to offline when their sparkling does because they can't handle that separation and emptiness, although most carriers find the will to keep living on, mostly for their sparkmate.
Knockout looks at Sideswipe as his spark aches with the thought. If he lost them both he would offline as well because he wouldn't be able to live anymore.
