I do not own the Fallout series
AN: Bit of a simpler chapter today, as those last two were exhausting. Also, I just like Bighorners :).
Bighorners
Brahmin aren't the only livestock used in Post-War America. Found on the West Coast, the Bighorner is a hardy animal descended from Bighorn Sheep, or Ovis Canadensis. Far larger than their Pre-War ancestors; Bighorners are about the same size as a Brahmin, not including their absolutely enormous horns. Their burnt orange and often tumorous looking hide is covered entirely in a shaggy grey fur. The only exposed skin is on their faces.
Wild Bighorner herds can be found in the mountains and plains, usually around groves of Banana Yucca Fruit. Herds are usually made up of 5-10 females, a bull, and a litter of calves. Unlike Brahmin, Bighorners are far more aggressive and territorial. If you get too close to their herd, they'll let out a warning bleat before charging. A fully grown Bighorner has enough force behind these charges to knock an adult man off his feet. All members of the herd look after the newborns. If even a single calf goes missing, the entire herd will become agitated and aggressive.
Big Horner Trivia
Bighorners are mostly used for meat and hide, they make poor pack animals as they just lay down until the pack is removed.
Bighorners are capable of living beside Brahmin.
All Bighorners, even if they're female, grow horns.
