"Bring forth my familiar!"

For a moment, nothing happened. Then, an explosion.

As the cloud of dust dispersed, the students were shocked to see… another Louise, mid-chant.

"…Pentagon of the Five Elements, bring forth my familiar!"

For a moment, nothing happened. Then, an explosion.

The first explosion was practically expected. The second was a surprise.

Another Louise appeared, mid-chant.

The third explosion established a pattern.

Two dozen Louises shifted uncomfortably under the gaze of the Headmaster.

"New summonings have yet to cease. Attempts to interrupt the casting all meet with failure. Every five seconds, without fail, a new Louise is brought into existence," Colbert reported.

"I see. And you said it's also moving?"

"Each new Louise appears ten feet from the previous Louise, all heading vaguely south-by-southeast. We estimate that in about a week and a half, new Louises will be summoned in Romalia. We have of course sent a message to explain why a series of explosions will be travelling through their territory."

Louise-12 groaned. "What a disaster."

Louise-13, her familiar, put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry. Louise-73 and her familiar…s… will take care of all the new Louises."

Louise-20 nodded. "And Louise-81 will see to moving people out of the way."

Louise-18 frowned as she looked at a map. "South-by-southeast… Um… This path heads straight into the Great Middle Sea. What happens then?"

No one had any answers for that one.

"…Pentagon of the Five Elements, bring forth my familiar!" shouted Louise-940853, before falling into the sea. She spluttered for a moment before a metal hook wrapped around her waist and hauled her into a large sailing vessel. "Wh-what?"

"Welcome aboard!" said Louise-73, wearing a brilliant captain's regalia. "Quick version of what's going on: Our summoning went wrong. We summoned a Louise who summoned another Louise and so on. You are… what's the count, Louise-120?"

"She is Louise number 940,853," said a Louise clothed as a quartermaster. "First Mate Louise-563, take care of her."

"Aye-aye, ma'am!"

The elves watched as the chain of explosions drew nearer. Not too quickly, but far more quickly than was comfortable. During a heated meeting where the Council tried to figure out what to do, Luctiana burst in with a map.

"It's headed straight for the Shaitan's Gate!"

The elves started running around in a panic, screaming their heads off.

Louise #1,000,000 appeared in the midst of ancient ruins, right in front of a large, purplish portal. "…Pentagon of the Five Elements, bring forth my familiar!"

No familiar was summoned. There was a bright flash of light. The portal wavered for a few seconds before collapsing with a small 'POIT.'

"Eh…?" Louise-1000000 suddenly startled as hundreds of Louises around her burst into cheers. "What the f-"

Such was the start of the mostly-female Empire of Louisiana, the Brimiric nation that began with an explosion, gained great renown by announcing its presence throughout Tristain, Gallia, and Romalia, crossed the Great Middle Sea, and then chased the elves out of the Holy Land.

Upon her throne, Louise Prime sat. She would remain bewildered for the rest of her life.

A/N: So that was a thing.
