As Kamito, Est, and Restia were walking through the hall of the academy, they suddenly saw someone who stood before them and it was Fianna.

"Fianna," Kamito said.

"Kamito, can we talk for a moment?" Fianna asked.

Kamito was surprised in what Fianna just requested.

"Do you really want to talk… to me?" Kamito asked.

"Yes," Fianna said feeling nervous, "will that be okay?"

"…Yes," Kamito said with a smile.

Fianna was relieved and was happy when Kamito had said yes. Kamito and Fianna walked together as Restia and Est followed them. Meanwhile Jio was outside sitting by a trunk of a tree holding and looking at his Zanpakuto Oshokotsu. He grinned looking at his Zanpakuto.

"This is genuinely mine and mine alone," Jio said.

"I'm impressed," A male voice said, "you are certainly making progress."

Jio flinched and he looked at the side and it was Aizen who was standing with a grin and had his arms behind his back.

"You," Jio said as he stood up, "why are you here?"

"I just came to see how you were progressing," Aizen said with a smile, "and it seems that you're progressing well."

"Are you keeping tabs on me?" Jio asked.

"I'm just making sure that you have not forgotten what we discussed," Aizen said.

"Of course I haven't," Jio said, "I know what I need to do."

"That's good, I'm glad to hear it," Aizen said as he was pleased.

Aizen left using Shunpo and Jio clenched his teeth as he was angry.

"Bastard," Jio said in his head, "he thinks he can just use me. In the end, I will be the one in control, not him. Hell, I'll be the one who will achieve what he desire and end him. He is one of the many fools that have disrespected me."

Meanwhile Kamito and Fianna were still walking together and they stopped at an area outside were standing by a building wall. Fianna took a deep breath and faced Kamito.

"Kamito," Fianna said

"Yes?" Kamito replied.

"Thank you for agreeing to my request," Fianna said.

"It's no problem Fianna," Kamito replied, "I'm happy that that you wanted to talk to me," Kamito then had sad expression, "I was sad that you ran away from me the last time we spoke. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering what happened between us. I know that I'm a hopeless idiot that doesn't understand a girl's feeling. Being ignorant is no excuse for my actions."

"No Kamito, you're wrong," Fianna responded, "you're not a hopeless idiot and you do understand a girl's feeling. If anyone who is at fault for the way I acted, it's me and that what I wanted to talk to you about," Fianna looked at Kamito with sadness, "I want to apologize to you and not just with how I acted and ran and lashed out at you but also for what happened to you in the past. You died shielding me. It's my fault that you were killed and I am so sorry for it. I don't what I can do to make up for it and I'm a horrible person for it."

Kamito was shocked in what he heard and shook his head.

"No Fianna, you're wrong," Kamito responded, "you didn't cause my death. There are two people who caused my death and that were Jio Inzagi and me. Jio because he was the one who fatally stabbed me and me because I lost to him."

"But that would not happened if it wasn't for me," Fianna insisted, "I acted without thinking even though I didn't have the means to really be helpful. I acted without thinking and because of what I did, you had to save me and as a result…"

"Please stop Fianna," Kamito interjected.

"Kamito," Fianna said.

"What happened to me is not your fault," Kamito said, "what happened was the result of my own mistake so please I'm begging you, please don't blame yourself. It saddens me that I'm hearing you blaming yourself for what happened to me."

"Kamito, I…" Fianna said with sadness.

"I don't regret what I did," Kamito said, "even if starting over again I would do the same thing over and over again."

"You don't regret it?" Fianna asked.

"I would do it again if it means you are protected," Kamito said, "in fact, I would be sad if you had died because I didn't shield you."

"Kamito," Fianna said, "I… I don't know what to say."

"If anything, I'm the one who is sorry," Kamito said with sadness, "not only for dying on you and Claire but for how insensitive I was to you."

"Huh, what do you mean?" Fianna asked confused.

"I remember that we met before," Kamito said, "in the forest within the Astral Zero four years ago."

Fianna was surprised as she was wide eyed.

"Kamito, do you really remember?" Fianna asked.

"Yeah, I remember," Kamito said, "I remembered how we met in the forest and I remember promising that we would meet again after the Blade Dance. I broke my promise to you and for that I am sorry. I'm sure you felt betrayed for what I did and I am sorry for this. I know that I can't make up for the loneliness that you must have felt and I am sorry."

"No Kamito, wait," Fianna said, "You don't have to apologize. I understand what happened. She had gone missing and you were desperately trying to find her with no luck. I don't hold it against you, really so you don't have to worry about it."

"I still feel terrible," Kamito said sadly, "I could have at least stop by and see you just once."

"You don't have to worry about it," Fianna assured, "like I said, I understand. If it was me and my contracted spirit had gone missing, I know I would have done the same thing. For us Elementalists, contacted spirits are our sacred partners. Anyone in your position would have searched desperately to find and reunite their contacted spirits so I understand Kamito and I don't hold it against you. I never did."

"Is that true?" Kamito asked.

"Yes, it is true so please don't put yourself down," Fianna pleaded, "despite what anyone ever said or even how you may feel about yourself, I still think you're wonderful person and really," Fianna put on a smile, "I'm just happy to speak to you again."

"…Yeah, I feel the same way," Kamito replied with a smile.

"I know I was a pain before but Kamito, can we continued what we left off in the past?" Fianna asked.

"Of course we can," Kamito said happily, "and seriously, you're not a pain. You never were and still, you're still the nice person that I have always believed you were."

Fianna was touched by Kamito's word and was feeling happy that was about to tear up.

"Thank you Kamito," Fianna said as she tearing up, "I'm glad, I'm glad to talk you again. I'm so happy to reunite with you."

"Yeah, I feel the same way," Kamito said, "I'm so happy."

Fianna was so happy that she suddenly went up and hugged Kamito holding on to him. Kamito was surprised and then he smiled and hugged Fianna back and felt happy. Restia and Est looked on and they were happy for Kamito but both were annoyed at the way Fianna was closed to their Elementalist.

"Not fair, she getting ahead of herself," Est said.

"I don't like it either," Restia said, "but I suppose I can't let it slide just this once. After all, Kamito is happy and that's what matter right now."

Est looked at Restia and then back to Kamito.

"I guess," Est said.

Later on, Kamito and Fianna were conversing with each other with everything that has been going in since being in the academy. Fianna was surprised when Kamito told her about what happened when he and his class were in their field training in the Human World.

"Demon Lord Spirit?" Fianna asked.

"That's right," Kamito said, "he called himself Adrammelech and he's the Demon Lord Spirit that controls lightning."

"Oh my, to think you faced such a foe," Fianna said, "I never heard of these Demon Lord Spirits," Fianna then turned to Restia, "you actually are familiar with them, correct?"

"Yes, I have known about them for centuries," Restia said, "and they are an unpleasant bunch. They are enemies."

"Hmm, I see," Fianna said.

"Fianna, there is something I want to ask and I know this is going to be hard and I'll understand if you don't want to answer," Kamito said.

"You want know what happened after your death, right?" Fianna replied, "I don't mind telling you and… it is going to hard for you hear."

"Please tell me Fianna," Kamito pleaded.

"…Okay," Fianna said with a nod.

Fianna told Kamito what she knew. Meanwhile Velsaria was in Zanjutsu Hall and was sitting on the floor having her sealed Zanpakuto on her lap performing Jinzen.

Velsaria's Inner World

Velsaria opened her eyes and faced her Zanpakuto Spirit Hagane Otome. They didn't say anything to each other as Hagane Otome summoned the sword form of herself while Velsaria unsheathed her sword. They suddenly charged at each other and clashed blades.

Seireitei, Soul Society

In the Zanjutsu Hall, Velsaria concentrated as she was using Jinzen. Back with Kamito and Fianna, they were walking together again in the hall and they stopped as they were at the intersection.

"I have to go this way," Fianna said, "I have to be ready for my Kido class to participate."

"Okay, I'll see you later Fianna," Kamito replied.

"Yeah, see you later," Fianna said.

"Thank you Fianna for everything," Kamito said.

Fianna shook her head with a smile.

"No Kamito, I should be thanking you," Fianna said happily, "thank you Kamito."

Kamito smiled happily in response. Fianna waved and went on her way and Kamito smiled as he watched Fianna leave. Restia and Est walked and stood next to Kamito.

"I'm glad," Est said and then turned to Kamito, "I'm happy for you Kamito."

"Thank you Est," Kamito replied.

"Good for you Kamito," Restia said, "things worked out well and you were proven wrong. Fianna never hated you."

"Yeah, I'm glad I was wrong," Kamito said.

Few Days Later

The students of the Advance Class were in the field for their Kido Class. Jio stepped up aimed the palm of his hand at the target he was facing.

"Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone," Jio chanted, "flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hado#33: Sokatsui!"

Jio discharged blue flames from his palm and directed and successfully destroyed the target. The rest of the class was in awe and the Kido instructor Rindo looked and nodded.

"Very good Inzagi," Rindo said, "better than last time."

Jio just looked at Rindo and then he went and sat in his spot.

"Who wants to go up next?" Rindo asked.

"Sir," Velsaria said as she stood up.

"Very well Fahrengart," Rindo said with a nod.

Velsaria stepped forward and faced one of the targets and held up her hand.

"Sprinkled on the bones of the beast!" Velsaria chanted, "Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!" Velsaria started to generate the yellow orb of lightning, "Hado#63: Raikoho!"

Velsaria fired the built up lightning Kido and struck her intended target and destroyed it. The rest of the class was impressed as so was Rindo and nodded in approval.

"Very good Fahrengart," Rindo said, "you certainly have improved."

"Thank you sir," Velsaria responded.

Velsaria went back to her spot and sat down. She saw Kamito looking at her and he smiled and Velsaria smiled back with a nod. Jio on the other hand just looked at Velsaria and was not impressed with her.

"Now then, who wants to go next?" Rindo asked.

"Sir, may I?" Kamito asked as he stood up.

"Very well Kazehaya," Rindo responded.

Students were talking as most were curious what Kamito was going to do. Most were awe with Kamito's talents and were impressed everything he did. Jio clenched his teeth as he was annoyed at the people who seemed to be impressed with someone who he felt was trash. Kamito stepped forward and he looked at three dummies and then he took a deep breath.

"Okay, here we go," Kamito said with a serious expression looking at the three dummies and raised his right hand in front of his chest, "Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny!"

Rindo was shocked at what was happening and had his thoughts, "Wait a minute, that incantation… that Level 90 Kido!"

"Hey, isn't that…?" A female student said surprised.

"No way, is he actually…" A male student said surprised.

"Kamito, are you really…?" Velsaria spoke surprised.

"Wait a damn minute," Jio said as he was shocked, "you've got to be kidding me."

Est and Restia sat with the rest of the class and looked on. Est was excited seeing what Kamito was doing while Restia simply smiled in amusement liking how Kamito was displaying his skill. Kamito continued with the incantation as a black spiritual coffin was forming around the three dummies with a purplish black energy forming causing a powerful torrent of gravity taking the form of a box of black energy, covered in several spear-like protrusions.

"Grow numb and flicker!" Kamito continued, "Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness! Hado#90: Kurohitsugi!"

The spears on the box pierced the box, lacerating and destroying the three dummies that were inside and the black box disintegrated. The students there were shocked and impressed with what happened and some were talking about Kamito and of how he was able to pull it off.

Rindo was surprised as well, "That was surprising," Rindo looked at Kamito," Kazehaya."

"Sir?" Kamito replied looking at the instructor.

"To be honest, that Kido you used didn't have the full power," Rindo said

"Yeah, I figured as much as well Rindo-sensei," Kamito replied as he was a bit disappointed.

"Yes, but the fact that you were able to perform it and kept control of it is impressive itself," Rindo said, "this is the first time in all my years that I witnessed a freshmen casting a Level 90 Kido and there was no problem. Kazehaya, you did a good job indeed and to be honest, you continue to impress me."

The students clapped their hands and Kamito smiled as he felt humbled and went back to his spot sitting next to Est and Restia where he was being praised for his performance.

"All right, let us continue on," Rindo said as he started with his lesson to the class.

Later on, the students of the Advance Class were taking their Hakuda class and sparring one on one and then later on in their Hoho class, students were demonstrating their use of Shunpo. Meanwhile Fianna was standing by a wall and she looked up at the sky. Fianna sighed and then she looked at her right hand and a faint glow appeared in her right hand.

"Georgios," Fianna said in her head as she thought about the last time she summoned her contracted spirit to stop Rubia Elstein only for her holy knight elemental spirit to be defeated easily and caused mental scars for her, "I will regain what I lost and I will get stronger. I won't be a burden to anyone or be weak ever again."

Fianna went on her way determined to do what she could and as she was walking, she thought about Kamito and how they spoke to each and worked things out. Fianna blushed as she felt happy and with it she was motivated. Life continued in the Shin'o Academy as students were working hard in their lessons and their training. As days and then weeks went by, the end was coming for the first year for the freshmen as the freshmen's final exam was approaching which was going to be everything that they had learned from the lectures and it also included the full demonstrations of Zankensoki. It was all most of the students were thinking about these days as the time was approaching and many students were studying hard and trying to get better in their skills just so they would be able to move on to their second years. All the instructors brought up the points and what would be expected of them in the freshmen's final examinations which included how they would excel when they pass and the dire consequences should the student failed their final exam.

Several Months Later

The time had arrived as it was the final exam for the first years that would take place. All students in the Shin'o Academy were getting prepared as it was time for them to their respective final examinations. For the sixth year students, it was time for them to pass their exams in order to graduate and officially become Shinigami for the Soul Society. For the underclassmen, it was for them so that they would produce acceptable results for themselves and to move on to their next years. In the homeroom of the Advance Class One, Mogami spoke to all of his students about the importance of the final exams and for the students to show what they had learned from the time they spent studying and training. All the students there were looking at their instructor with serious expression as they prepared themselves mentally as they were about to take their exams. In the homeroom of Class Two, Shimazu was giving the same lecture of the importance of the exams to his students. All the students there had serious expressions as they were looking at their instructor as they were also mentally preparing themselves. The final exams for the year soon began for all the students in the academy.

That's it for this chapter. Next chapter: The start of the second year and a new first year arrives that has connection to Kamito.
