"Come on Yuuri, we have to go."
I stood, sat back down on the lush grass. The world was tilting.
The sky was turning a lighter blue; blackness was in my vison as if flies were swarming, I put my head in my hands, squeezing my eyes shut. I wanted the flies to go away. It was just a normal day. We were spending time in the park. I was binging less and eating healthier. I had not talked about running with Viktor for a while. I still wanted to, but I didn't. I tried to heal.
I tried to get better.
But did I eat enough dinner last night? What did I eat for breakfast this morning? It was mid-day.
A wave hit my body the same time as a chill.
"Are you okay?"
I looked up from my hands.
"Yea. Yea. I'm okay." I nodded.
I convinced myself this was all I trained for. I could push through it like always. The 'what' I trained for was...standing. Standing strong, being healthy, and staying by Viktor's side.
I took a breath, stood.
By the next breath I was leaning against a tree. When?
Another blink and I was slumped closer to the ground.
"Wha-?"
"Wow- Hey. Hey Yuuri. Please. Open your eyes."
I wearily opened my eyes, Viktor was holding my hands and supporting my shoulder up, keeping me upright.
"Was I out? Did I?"
"You have to tell me what's wrong." Victor said lightly.
My vision was flecked with dots of black, white, grey. Not flies but dotted pigeons, doves this time.
"Viktor. I'm sorry. I couldn't- I couldn't eat. I am though. It's ok. Fuck. I need to lie down just a-"
My vision was flecked with blacker streaks.
A paint brush, this time wiping across my vision.
I felt myself falling a million miles an hour.
.
"Hey."
My eyes shot open, and my body lurched forward.
"Viktor where am I?"
"The hotel Yuuri. It's going to be okay." He had tears at the edge of his eyes, his face for once looking well rested.
"How?"
"Otabek and Yurio are here to visit you."
"Where? Why? Hotel? When?"
"Where did the time go? Weren't we just in the park at home? When did I..."
"Yuri are you ok?"
Instead of answering, my eyes darted to the opening door, offering me something to tell me what was going on. My head felt heavy, sitting up fast wasn't a great idea. My stomach let me know.
A blonde, short, Yurio and a tall raven-haired male, Otabek entered the room.
"Why does he look stupid?" Yurio asked.
I glared at the blonde, he had the same name as me, but I did not share any similar feelings with him.
"What does that mean?" I stared, eyes scanning.
"It means you look like you came from some...where else. Like you are...ah Whatever." He flung his hands up and sat down on my bed without asking.
"Sure." I said coolly.
"You need to stop with the food issues." Yurio snapped.
I felt the bed fall from under me, my brain buzzing with flies.
I hadn't gotten better like I thought I did.
We all talked and the two who visited left.
It was just me and Viktor now.
"I don't think I got better." I said to him, turning.
He was looking back to me and nodded once.
I felt my eyes burn.
Fuck, it's that bad.
