Flying toward the edge of the Claw of the Cloud Mountains, Winter couldn't help but glance at the strange passengers on the Dragonets of Destiny's backs every few wingbeats. Eventually, he couldn't hold it in any longer.
"Who are your new friends?"
Sunny looked back at Ducky. "These are our new friend dinosaurs who fell out of a waterfall."
Ducky looked at him, "Oh yes, we fell out of a waterfall, me, Spike, Petrie, Cera, and Littlefoot, oh yes we did. I'm Ducky, yep yep yep!"
Winter just looked forward at the mountains ahead, thinking. He wondered if these new "dinosaurs" would be as interesting as he'd found scavengers (or humans he had to remind himself, thinking of Sky's pet, Wren).
As they neared Sanctuary, they could see the destruction left in the Sharptooth's wake as he'd trampled through the streets with no regard for architecture. The dinosaurs, who'd never seen such intricately built nests before, though clearly understanding the devastation, couldn't help but be impressed.
"These nests are more amazing than I've ever seen, oh yes," remarked Ducky.
As they landed in the streets, the dinos climbed down from the dragonets' backs and couldn't help but marvel at the aspects of their civilization, the shops, the nests, the streets, it was all so new to them, even though many of them had suffered the wrath of the Sharptooth.
"Can you believe this place?" Marveled Littlefoot.
Another dragon, similar to Tsunami in shape and scales, rushed up to greet them. Tsunami rushed up to him. "Riptide, is everything alright? How is everyone fairing?"
Riptide looked at Tsunami warily. "Everyone got away in time so nobody's seriously hurt, but it's going to be hard to rebuild. What was that thing? Nobody knew how to deal with it. Nobody's ever seen anything like it before."
As they talked, Cera was taking Riptide in. "This is Riptide?" Cera asked, "He doesn't seem that impressive." During her flights with Tsunami, she couldn't help but being the captive audience to all Tsunami's gossip about her boyfriend, and Cera couldn't help but wonder if Tsunami could have done better.
Riptide looked in the direction of Cera and the other dinosaurs. "Do you know these guys? They look sort of like the creature that attacked us, but not quite."
Tsunami nodded. "We met them around a waterfall that they claim they fell through with this sharptooth. We think they can help."
Riptide looked at them expectantly.
"We've dealt with sharpteeth before," Cera said finally, with all the bravado of an Amazing Three Horn Girl.
"We dropped a rock on one sharptooth we did," Petrie supplied flustering.
Sunny looked at the dinosaurs wide-eyed, "We shouldn't try to kill Sharptooth if we can help it," said Sunny.
"It's not like we haven't dealt with killing before," Tsunami said, looking at Sunny.
"Well," Sunny said "We still shouldn't resort to it."
Clay looked at everybody, "There's got to be a better way at dealing with this 'sharptooth' than just killing it."
"I don't want to kill Sharptooth if we don't have to," Ducky agreed, "No I do not."
Glory nodded, "Agreed, we try a solution that does not involve killing if we can."
Riptide was looking at them all, kind of taken aback. The world they live in if scheming death is the first thing that came to all their minds.
"Too bad none of us can really talk to the Sharptooth," Littlefoot mused, "If only we had Chomper here, he could help."
But unfortunately, Chomper wasn't there, so they'd have to find another solution.
So they all sat down together in the ruined village and started discussing plans to get rid of Sharptooth.
