"So I have a little trauma with commercial airplanes? I mean, could they be considered private planes? It's weird that it happened twice right? I mean, does the whole gang need to be here for our bad luck with planes to take effect? Will it be worse with just the two of us?"

Shinichi watched Kaito pace, soft smile on his face, and he shrugged in response.

"The only luck I have is bad. I guess your natural good luck would at least have us break even."

"Yeah, but that still means anything could happen mid-flight. How unreasonable would it be to have your little girl friend do a background check on all people involved in this flight?" Kaito pulled out his phone like he was seriously going to start snapping pictures of everyone and send them to Haibara.

"She'd do it, but you wouldn't like the price she'd charge for it," Shinichi said, reaching out to grab Kaito's sleeve as he stalked back the other direction. "And this isn't a private plane. We're flying in disguises you designed under aliases put together so airtight that anyone looking for us is probably still staking out the Edoka clock tower on the off chance we'll stop by."

Kaito sighed and he dropped into Shinichi's lap, skirt ruffling and drawing Shinichi's attention to his smooth, long legs.

"Don't be reasonable to me, tantei-kun."

Shinichi dropped his hold on Kaito's cardigan, wrapping an arm around his shoulders and hugging him tight to his chest. Kaito had spent approximately 48 hours awake, arranging everything from their trip to contingency plans if anyone figured them out. This was just a stress response from lack of sleep, anxiety, and the affectation of nervous fiance to sell their disguises. He pressed a kiss to Kaito's forehead, lingering a little as he felt Kaito's soft gasp.

"You're the un-catchable Kaitou Kid. Even if this plane crashes on a deserted island and we're left with a big convoluted mystery to solve, you'll have us rescued and back in 5 days minimum. There's no one I'd trust more."

Kaito laughed, taking on of his hands and squeezing it tightly.

"What did I ever do to deserve that kind of faith, huh?"

"You saved me. In all the ways that a person can be saved." Shinichi cupped Kaito's cheek, missing his blue eyes, but the surprise was easy enough to read in his current brown. "You always pull off the impossible."

Kaito blushed, ducking to hide his face in Shinichi's neck.

The boarding call sounded.
