Chapter 5
The guardians come to the room were Jack was sleeping and they Jack asleep and the little snow spirit snuggled up to him fast asleep. Aviva was leaning against the wall reading a book that she brought with her.
"Please tell me that Manny told you to fry his ass," her pretty green eyes flared.
"Aviva, you usually the nice one," Mother Nature said looking at her.
Aurelia covered the little spirit up, "Mother, we all owe Jack something. Even the guardians, they just don't know it yet."
"What?" Bunny asked looking confused.
Aurelia rolled her golden eyes that reminded Bunny of fall leave, "Let's go to the library but keep the door open just in case Flurry wakes.
ROTG
Once they enter the library Aurelia sat down on the floor, "I know Jack never told you about any of us."
They nodded and she sighed, "Stubborn, Snowball," she mumbled under her breath but Bunny heard it and almost smirk but held it back.
Suvi started a fire in the fire place and smiled, "The only one that got along with Jack when he first became a general was you."
"He saved my life," she stood up and rubbed her back as if she was in pain and wanted it to stop.
Mother Nature watched her, "You back been bothering you again?"
"A little I can't set on the floor for very long," Aurelia groaned, "I'll be fine, Mother. Anyway I was doing my job and I was making sure the bear were getting ready for winter when I was attacked by a windigo. I can hold my own, but this son-of-a-m bitch was huge. I get knocked over and hit into a tree the next thing I know here comes this spirit with a staff hitting this angry spirit in the forehead. I knew that it was a winter spirit by the ice shards he sent at causing some damage. I got up and went to Jack and we fought that ugly thing together. We beat him but Jack was badly hurt. I got him on my back and took back to the domain."
"He was a mess," Mother Nature replied he was out for three days, and when he came to he just looked at me confused and asked if I was some unworldly being. I laughed actually laughed."
"I know you the longest and you never laugh," Sandy signed with his dream sand.
"I didn't like him," Suvi reviled, "He was winter I am we are summer polar opposites. I avoided him like the plague, and then one day Mother told me to go get Jack from the Alps in the middle of winter. I was not thrilled when I found him he just looked at me and smiled and asked what I was doing there. I told that Mother wanted him. He grabbed my waist with that staff and pulled me closer and he told to hang on the next thing I know we were skiing down a tall hill without skis and he was dodging trees and rocks and was the funniest day I ever had. He showed that it was alright to have fun from time by time and he also showed that winter had its own beauty. Afterwards we became friends I tried to teach him how to surf. He does alright as long as he out of the water," Suvi laid down in front of the fire enjoying the warmth that come from the flames.
Aviva had a flower dancing in front of her, "I really didn't know Jack that well. I knew of him sure and we talked a little bit but I never really knew him. It was about 250 years ago I was melting snow when I step into a metal hunting trap and couldn't move and I was bleeding badly I knew that it might bring Wendigo. I tried to get the trap off with no luck. Then I noticed the Nods. I told them to get Jack I knew he was nearby. It was about five minutes when Jack showed with a force of the wind. He saw how bad I was hurt and he got the trap off and then he pulled the trap out of the ground so it wouldn't happen again. He helped me up and took to his place, and no I will not tell you were its located and he made sure that alright. Unfortunately I had a broken leg. Mother Nature was real busy with a hurricane that was out of control no thinks to spirit that was out of control. Jack popped the bone back in place after he numbed it. I healed it after he was done. I spent the rest of the day there and we talked and I learned he quit an artist."
"Grammy Nature," Flurry came in with tired eyes.
"Come here, Snowflake," Mother Nature held her arms open and the little girl came running, "What's wrong?" she saw concern in the child eyes.
"Papa Jack is having a bad dream. His groaning in his sleep it woke me up. Is he going to be alright?"
Suvi got up from where she lie and put the fire out pulled the child to her, "Flurry, listen to me. Papa Jack is going to be fine. Do you remember when you got hurt how you had bad dream for awhile."
Flurry actually had to thank about it. Nodded slowly, "I remember being scared and never wanted to open another door. I sometime woke screaming and Papa Jack would run into came my room and he would sing me back to sleep."
"Well Papa Jack was hurt really bad and his having the same kind of dreams. He'll be alright but we need to wait it might take a little longer," Suvi tried move a strand of hair when little moved to more hair would fall over her face. Suvi sent Aurelia a look.
"Snow angel, come here," Aurelia winced as she got to the girls level, "What's wrong?"
Tears felled her eyes and she buried her face in the autumn spirit chest, "Melody says I'll never be good at anything because I'm so ugly."
Before Mother Nature could say anything, "Angela Frost you listen to me and you listen me good. Don't ever listen to the negative things people say. You are a beautiful girl inside and out."
"I have scars," she cried out moving her hair revealing her badly scared face.
Tooth came down, "Flurry, can I talk to you."
The young spirit looked at the Tooth fairy, "I don't see any scars what I see is a very beautiful girl who loves her family. This marks on you face they will fade with time and maybe one day you won't see them, and I'm going to tell you a secret that not very many people know. Do you want to know it."
The girls blue lit up bit still clung Aurelia for comfort, "Alright."
"I was teased as a child too," Tooth told her, "When I lost my last baby tooth my wings appeared and people teased me about them. They called me Bird Lady."
"That not nice. You look like a fairy to me."
Tooth smiled, "You know when Jack is alright I'll see he can bring you to my tooth palace would you like that." The little girl nodded letting go of Aurelia and flung herself into Tooth's arms. Aurelia looked at Mother Nature with a smirk.
